Before pursuing a career in dentistry, Christy taught high school biology and chemistry for many years. She completed a BS in Biology from Baylor University in 1996, and received a science teaching license from UNLV in 2000. Throughout her teaching career she won many teaching awards.
During her teaching career Dr. Pryor married Darren Pryor of Boss, MO. Darren and Dr. Pryor have a young son named Cole. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, cooking and doing crafts. Dr. Pryor worked at Tuttle Dental Group for over a year before purchasing the practice. She fell in love with the community, staff and patients and couldnt imagine practicing dentistry anywhere else. She looks forward to working closely with the Van Buren and surrounding areas and is excited to make it her home.
The Misch International Implant Institute was developed in 1984 to help set and elevate the standard of care in implant dentistry using a hands-on approach. Now world renown, the Institutes goal is to remain at the forefront of implant dentistry through research, education and its unique clinical applications. Using these tools and a well-trained faculty, the Institute is able to provide its students with the most progressive and documented information.
Missy began working part time at the current office the summer after she graduated High School. During this time she attended Three Rivers College where she earned an AA in Business. After graduating she began working full time as the Dental office receptionist and 23 years later she is still enjoying the work and getting to know the patients that visit the office. She and her husband own the local Parts store and have a teenage son. She enjoys spending time with them and many other friends and family, especially on the beautiful Current River.
Donna is a graduate of Neelyville High School and after graduation earned her degree in Dental Assisting from Three Rivers College. She has been working in the Dental field for 28 years and has been in the current office for last 18. Donna enjoys assisting patients and doing a variety of dental procedures, with her favorite being oral surgery. She lives on the banks of the beautiful Current River with her husband Mark of 24 years and they have a daughter Makenzie and son Todd. In her free time she enjoys fishing, digging in flower beds, and going to the river.
Mary Ellen started working with us in the Fall of 2015. She comes to us with years of medical billing and office experience. She and her husband Randy have 2 sons who have given them 5 wonderful grandchildren whom she adores. She enjoys helping people, making people laugh, and loves to see them smile. She also loves camping, cooking, and most of all. fishing!
Sarah is an East Carter RII High School Graduate and Carter County native. She has recently rejoined our Team as a Dental Assistant after time away from the work force to raise a family. She brings 8 years of previous dental experience and a desire to be an asset to Pryor Family Dental. She enjoys movies, reading, and family time. Sarah and her husband Bryan have 4 children and live in Van Buren.
Debbie has been involved in Dentistry since 1990. She started working in the front office of a dental practice in Northern California and then an Orthodontic practice where she achieved her Registered Dental Assistant License. In 2009, she and her family moved to Missouri. Debbie then when back to college and achieved her Registered Dental Hygiene license. She and her husband Don have been married for 30 years and have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Her favorite things in life are her grandbabies, her horses, and her dog Monte. She loves the interaction with her patients and enjoys educating and helping them improve their oral health.
Jessica is a local from here in Van Buren. She graduated from Van Buren High School in 2007 and then achieved her degree in General Education from Three Rivers College. Jessica joined our Team in April of 2018 and is quickly learning Dentistry and is excited to be the best Dental Assistant she can be. Shes brought her joy of helping others and inducing smiles with her and really enjoys interacting with patients. Jessica enjoys spending time with her son, Lane and in her spare time she loves being outdoors, especially the Current River.
Kim is a graduate of East Carter High School and a lifelong resident of Ellsinore. She has recently rejoined our Team as a Dental Assistant after taking a break from the work force to raise her children; Trever, Noah, and Gracie. She has 9 years of previous dental experience and is excited to be back working in the dental field. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Ivan of 26 years and their three children.

So! I had a really bad and traumatic experience at a different dental company in PB. By calling around I found Pryor and they got me in immediately! From the very beginning, they made me feel comfortable and with a calmness reassured me they could fix my teeth. The following visit it just got better and better. The root canal was almost painless. Every lady working there made me feel so special! They were ALL so accommodating and mindful. Not to mention the passion for their job! It radiates straight from their heart. Best dentist and dentist family in the whole YOU*niverse. What an answered prayer.

I have never been more comfortable at a dental office as I have been at Pryor Family Dental. From the warm surroundings, the friendly staff, and the excellent dentistry, it was an experience that most times might be ill at ease but not here. You have a sense that Dr. Pryor really cares for her patients and her skill as a dentist is second to none! Highly recommend! Sue F.

You won't find a better Dentist. Christy and her staff are the most professional, pleasant, caring and compassionate girls I've ever met! Every procedure she's done has been perfect and I promise you won't find anyone more gentle. Even her assistants are gentle. It's nice to walk into an office and be greeted like you matter and feel that way until you're walking back out the door. Thank you Christy, and all of your girls, for everything you do, y'all are the best!

Amazed that a small town could have such a phenomenal dentist as Dr. Pryor. Not only is she a great technician but her care for her patients is amazing! The ambiance of the office and the friendliness of the staff makings you feel so comfortable. And her technical equipment including 3D imaging of the jaw and teeth and the ability to make crowns inhouse isn't found in many big city dental offices. If you need a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Christy Pryor!

Truly love the entire staff. After having horrible experiences from other dentists I delayed going anywhere for some time. I decided to give them a chance, I am so thankful I did. They have been very kind to me and understanding my fears and concerns. Not one question has been laughed at or sluffed off. The billing is handled well with my insurance and any question about cost is answered straight . If you're looking for a caring dental staff, affordable dentistry, clean & protecting your health i recommend you give them a call!

I got two crowns and a filling. Was over charged and have been in pain every since. My billing was wrong so I'm never going back.

Just wanted to share my experience with Pryor Family Dental. Not only will each patient be greeted with a smile, you'll leave with one as well. The friendly caring staff will go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of in a timely professional manner. Dr. Pryor's equipment is state of the art which shows me she wants her patients to have the best possible care. Don't be afraid to ask questions because they will be answered without hesitation.

My wife was well taken care of here. They are very respectful, kind and genuinely good people here. Dr. Pryor is fantastic and I highly recommend her. My wife received dentures from start to finish here. They did well and look good. No issues

Not a great place to go. I was told i could pay 300 dollars an I would have my teeth examined and cleaned then i could see pryor to work on my teeth. After i paid the 300 dollars they told me i needed to pay for my teeth to be cleaned an said i needed a deep cleaning an that was not the same as a normal cleaning that I had already paid for. They tried to tell me i would need to pay 1,000 dollars for a deep cleaning otherwise i could not see pryor to have any other work done. Do not go here unless you want to be lied to an charged an outrageous amount.
