Dr. Gyampo is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. Experiences over the years have solidified his passion for quality dental care delivered with a touch of kindness and gentleness.

Hello! My name is Jenell. I was born and raised in Chapel Hill, and yes, I am a true blue Tar Heel fan! I graduated from DeVry University with a degree in business management. I was introduced to the world of Dentistry over eight years ago and am blessed to say I have enjoyed every minute since that time. I joined the Providence Smiles team in March of 2020. I am an avid crafter and music listener. When I am not at work, you will find me spending time with my family at the beach or the mountains, cooking, crafting, listening to tunes, volunteering, and binge-watching some of my favorite TV shows. Hi There! My name is Dawn, and I was born and raised in Fort Meade, Florida. I have three children, a husband of over 20 years, a sweet puppy named Lemon and two cats. I have worked in the dental field for over five years, and I love getting to know the patients at Providence Smiles. On my days off, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and traveling back to Florida to see family, friends, and (of course) the beach. I love being part of the Providence Smiles team and look forward to working with you soon!
Hello there! My name is Emory, and I am pleased to say I call Chapel Hill home. I have been a Tar Heel since I could walk, and I am proudly a tried and true Tar Heel since graduating with my Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene in May 2021. I have wanted to be a dental hygienist since I was 10 years old! I love this field and am passionate about using my skills to serve others.
I joined the team at Providence Smiles in June 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I knew after one visit to the office that I wanted this to be my dental home, which speaks volumes about Dr. Gyampo and the culture that is fostered here. When not knee-deep in teeth, I run a small craft business, go hiking and spend time with the people I love. I love making those around me feel welcome and comfortable. Hi, my name is Caitlin! I graduated from the dental assisting program at ACC in 2021 and joined the Providence Smiles team shortly after. I love to make sure my patients are comfortable and leave with a big smile. I am happily engaged to my fianc of two years, and we have three fur babies together, Jojo, Honey and Moose! Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, playing with my pups and watching my favorite TV shows.
Hey! My name is Jamya, and I was born and raised in Chapel Hill. I have been interested in dentistry since I was in high school. I am currently in school to become a dental hygienist. When I joined Providence Smiles, I was more excited than ever! For now, you will see me floating around the office working at the front desk, in the back assisting, or taking pictures and videos to post on our social media pages! When I have free time, I like to travel with my family and catch up on my sleep!

They treat you like a human! It's fantastic. They want to build relationships, help you improve your dental health, and move into the modern world of dentistry (compared to those who gave me metal fillings decades ago). Really loved the conversations and cleaning!

I don't know how there are so many positive reviews for this place. I had tooth pain so I went in and was told I needed a crown. Within days it was infected and a different dentist told me it was OBVIOUSLY a root canal not sure why ...

They are nice people. My last two experiences haven't been the greatest. Update to above review: It's important to note that The Providence Smiles' team went WELL out of their way to remediate my problems. Dr. G emphatically listened to my concerns in addition to providing the best care possible. I trust the Doctors and staff here as I know they are listening to me and will provide me with affordable treatment options. It's great accessible and affordable healthcare that we all desire and honestly deserve.

I had such an amazing experience today at Providence Smiles in Durham. Emory, the dental hygienist was warm and informative. She answered all of my questions. Dr. Gyampo was absolutely perfect! With gentle hands, educated recommendations and outstanding professionalism, his smile alone gets 5 stars! Maria, the patient receptionist was able to effectively multitask scheduling my next appointment, explain my treatment plan payments and hold a conversation with another client and myself about our mutual hometown. I'm a surgeon and went here because my insurance covered it I had no expectations. It was way better than I ever anticipated! The doctor was more thorough than I've ever had a dentist before and he didn't know I was a doctor. All around really good experience I'll definitely come back and recommend it!!! as much as I despise going to the dentist Great job!

I called yesterday and was also seen as well.The staff was good and the office was nice and clean. Dr. G was nice and pleasant and listened to my problems. I was in pain and cried like a baby. He done everything to keep me calm, he even ask what kind of music do I want to listen to and said he wanted me as comfortable as possible. He pulled the tooth that I was having problems with. Even though I felt I gave him a hard time he really had the patience. If anyone needs a good dentist I highly suggest you see him. I feel like I can't hardly thank him enough. Thanks again Dr.G

I had a great experience here on my first visit! Dr. B was fantastic and walked me through everything he was doing. He explained things clearly, and did the most comprehensive oral and dental exam I have had in my life. He seemed like a kind person who was genuinely interested in my health and even me as a person. I felt comfortable and at ease here. I'm really glad I decided to make this my new dentist, and I will definitely be back!

Dr. B was the best! Small conversation went over any concerns that had regarding my teeth. Had a few recommendations which was already mentioned during my last visit I appreciate the forwardness in regards to the healthcare of my teeth.
