Phenomenal !!!! They treated my daughter wonderfully. Dr. Protzel did a fantastic job and my daughter had minimal pain and virtually no swelling the next day. Nurse Kathy was professional, compassionate n reassuring. The whole office staff was extremely helpful n professional... especially Lisa.

Karen at the front desk is so very polite and helpful, she was extremely accommodating with both trips we've made here. Christine was a great help in caring for my husband and the entire time was more enjoyable than anticipated. We came back for a 2nd round and ended up with the confusion of no appointment but they were amazingly quick to solve the issue and get him in right away. I have yet to personally get work done here but I highly reccomend it for anyone. They work amazingly fast and are extremely professional friendly and all around nice people!

Was very nervous going into the procedure but nurse Kathy was a great help in calming me down and making me feel safe. Dr. did a great job removing my wisdom teeth and all staff were very friendly.

I'd like to thank the Dr and staff they were all wonderful. In particular I would like to thank Kathy I was very upset during my visit. Kathy talked me through my current issue and was very genuine and caring.

i had all 4 wisdom teeth removed here last month. the experience went so smoothly and way better than my anxiety anticipated. they gave me IV anesthesia and before i knew it i was all done. i felt absolutely no pain during the procedure nor the first few hours. once the anesthesia wore off i did feel a little pain and nauseous but nothing extreme. that first day was a 5/10 pain. i woke up the next morning with no pain at all and the days following. the assistant or nurse kathy was so sweet and made the experience great. she called me the next day to make sure i was feeling fine. you also go a week after your surgery for a consultation. dr. protzel said i was healing perfectly and everything looked great. thank you so much dr. protzel and staff!!! the best place to get your wisdom teeth out!!!!

If you are in the Nassau County area or even Long Island in general and have severe gum disease and/or bone loss GO TO PROTZEL ORAL SURGERY FIRST. DO NOT GO TO A PERIODONTIST FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN A SCALING. They will extract as much money from you as they can and leave you in pain. I was 24 when I first came to the office, with advanced gum disease so severe that at least 4 of my teeth had been removed by that point. The remaining teeth on the top arch were agonizingly painful and multiple visits to multiple general dentists and specialists had simply dragged out the process of providing me care, milking money out of me with unnecessary scalings, waiting on countless pre-authorizations and in one case even telling me that my gums and teeth "looked good" after a scaling at which time I was barely getting through a work day - in literal screaming pain. My first appointment at Protzel Oral Surgery, there was a comprehensive treatment plan without any run-around. They removed the top arch once my referring dentist had the denture made, they listened to me and what I wanted, relieving my pain as soon as they could. The office manager Lisa treats you like family, and even directed me toward Dr. Protzel's LIJ practice for impants, where I continue to receive care now I hope no one needs to go what I went through, and being in your mid-twenties without teeth is a harrowing experience, but if you are in a similar situation, come here first.

Doctor Protzel and his assistant Kathy were both wonderful! I'm extremely nervous when it comes to anything dental related but they put me at ease so much. They are both super sweet and caring and do a great and fast job. I would seriously never go anywhere else

I had to get 2 wisdom teeth extracted due to a lot of pain. Due to past experiences I was pretty nervous and scared, but my nurse Kathy kept reassuring me that it was going to be a piece of cake. Dr. Levine walked me through the whole thing and set me up with a IV sedation and the next thing I knew it was all over! The whole experience was amazing and I'm so thankful for them both. Would definitely go back to again!

Words I would never dream to write, "THE BEST ORAL SURGERY EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD." I called one morning out of the blue with a dental emergency and was greeted by the most professional and friendly front desk staff- I'm looking at you LISA! I'd spent the previous two days making appointments at other practices that could only schedule a consultation in a month's time. I explained my situation, was seen that morning, and got my situation resolved in the SAME VISIT. Everything about the practice was first rate from the reception, to the paperwork processing, to the x-ray tech, the dental assistant, to Dr. Protzel himself. Everyone I met was absolutely first rate! Nobody wants to have dental problems, but when you do, you'll get the best attention and care with Protzel Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, LLP. I have never written a review for oral surgery, God willing I never will again, but I cannot say enough nice things about the team I met in my hour of need. Why can't all medical providers and their staff be like this? In an age of automated responses and horrendous customer service the PEOPLE at POMS,LLP are a gift to all their patients. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!

Dr . Protzel and his team are fantastic , sensitive and excellent physicians ! His office staff care and are efficient and attentive . Highly recommend Dr. Protzel who is an excellent oral surgeon and Dr. Balacky who is also fantastic ; such a a kind team .

HUGE shout out to Everyone in this office. I've been coming here with all 5 of my kids for years and Always very happy. Dr. Protzel is very thorough in his explanations as well as Dr. Levine whom I recently had to have a tooth extraction. Dr. Levin was very quick and explained everything and I'm in no pain the very next day!! Thank you for squeezing me in the schedule and Always the Friendliest of staff. I Highly recommend Dr. Protzel Oral Surgery to everyone. Thank you everyone for a great experience!

Had two wisdom teeth removed here. The first two years ago and the second a couple days ago. The staff are courteous and professional. They made you feel at ease from the moment you call to set up the appointment, let alone the moment you enter the office for your visit. The doctor was excellent, attentive, and calming. I highly recommend them for your oral surgery needs.

Had to have a tooth extracted and the Protzel team were extremely welcoming and accommodating. I didn't have to wait at all, and the process was extremely quick and painless. They answered all the questions I had and made sure I was comfortable the entire time.

Amazing! Very professional and clean office. They're extremely caring. They were able to fit me in to get a tooth extracted within 24 hours. I will definitely be returning there if I need to pull another tooth.

Here I was 41 years old with constant jaw and tooth pain which would sometimes gravitate towards my ear. The pain could be considered excruciating at times. When i went to my dentist he told me some dreaded news. I had an infected impacted wisdom tooth that needed to be removed. I was so upset! Here I am thinking all of my wisdom tooth were out already. My dentist gave me a referral to a oral surgeon but unfortunately he did not take my insurance. I head into work this time the pain was so bad I had to make a call to schedule an appt asap. One of my co workers printed out a list of oral surgeons that took our insurance. I looked up a few and then I looked up Dr. Protzels office. It had almost all 5 stars and was so close to my home. I was happy but still so nervous. I called the office and they couldnt have been more accommodating and helpful. I called on a thursday got an appt for monday for both my consult and the surgery! So after it was booked I was still so so nervous but felt better about the appt. So there I was it was monday morning my appt was at 12 and they took me right in! I got x-rayed signed some paperwork they asked if I had any questions and we were ready to go. I had a young pleasant doctor come in and explain what they were going to do. He asked if I had any questions I was so nervous I think I might have asked one..lol Anyway before you know it I was sedated and on my way home! The next morning before 9am the office called to check to see how I was doing. I am so glad i had oral surgery here. If you are nervous let me put your mind at ease they give you the best care highly, highly recommend. The ladies at the front desk are lovely and so was the nurse Kathy. If you want a place with the utmost care and kindness look no further. I am 2 days post op and already feeling like myself again!

This oral surgery place is very professional very helpful I was very comfortable in my uncomfortable situation that I was faced with with needing to having an emergency extraction I had a major infection and was in excruciating pain no other place could get me saying next available appointment couldn't be until several months no way I could wait that long and I ended up in the emergency room and they recommended this place and I'm so happy I went to this place they got me in the same day I called in. The price was the lowest of the other places. They wanted so much more money and they couldn't even get me in if anybody needs a place I recommend to come to his place for all you've dental needs There's a reason why they've been out for generations And may they continue for many more again thank you
