Dr. Proto received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University in 1976 as a Biology major. Graduating cum laude from Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Dr. Proto received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1981. He was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr Proto completed the prestigious two year continuing education implant curriculum at New York University College of Dentistry in June of 2011 and is now on staffas aClinical Instructor. As evidenceof his belief that the practice of dentistry is an ever-changing discipline, Dr. Proto was recognized by the New York State Dental Association in 2015 for having completed 1,000 hours of continuing dental education.
Dr. Protohas had restorative techniques published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, was featured twice in Dental Economics and had an article on socket grafting published in Dental Products Report. He is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, the New York Dental Association and a member of the American Dental Association.Dr. Protohas been in private practice since 1981.He remains active in the community and is a past president of the Babylon Rotary Club, and was co-chair of the Babylon Village Historic Fountain Reconstruction Project. A husband and father of one son, Dr. Proto continues to provide comprehensive surgical, restorative and esthetic treatment in his Babylon Village office.

If I would have the choice of giving more than 5 stars I would. It was the first appointment with Dr. Proto and I never at any Dentist or Doctors office for that matter felt so comfortable and at ease. Everyone that works there is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Proto himself made me feel very relaxed and listened to every concern I had. He took the time and consideration that made me feel this is the only place where I want to get whatever procedure done. In my case it is implants and I really feel like I couldn't be in a better place.

The staff is extremely friendly, the dentist listened to the need of the patient and extended every amount of courtesy and care to correct any and all problems related to the well being of my teeth. I found them very patient, kind in attending to my issue and would highly recommend them.

Dr. Proto is knowledgeable and professional with an excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend him to everyone I know and I wouldn't ever want to go to anyone else myself. Friendly and caring staff with a clean office and exam rooms. Updated technology and diagnostic tools as well! I would give 10 stars if I could.

Friendly and courteous staff sadly I feel there pricing is above average due to being in Babylon and having a large staff. Being on a fixed income I may need to find a smaller dental office with more in line average processing.
