Called my insurance and was told this office provides 100% coverage. I called and I asked to confirm and made the appointment. I walked in and asked for check up for suspected root canal, after I sat down on the dentist chair, I was told insurance does not cover the x rays - and I was asked to pay $250 for x rays and I was told they will submit to insurance and either issue credit or bill for more even though they suppose to charge nothing - I suspected the talk and I said the insurance is covering 100%. Unfortunately I had my daughter also - x ray and cleaning was done same time in different room. Front desk says because they bill customers without insurance , this how it goes! - all pays first. Seriously , I have been in many offices and was always told everything is covered without even co payment specifically for my insurance. Beside the friendly treatment, I felt awkward and felt someone is trying to pry money out of me in such crooked way- ruined my day just for the idea . Very disappointment- do not think I am going again Here is the update , another invoice for my daughter office claims they applied discounts and still want $260- so to visit this office for x rays and dentist to look at it , you will need $700 beside your insurance - what a joke ! Ripe off ! Shame on this office .

My low rating is strictly a reflection of the office's business practices--specifically the billing policies. My dentist of 20+ years recently joined the group and the up front payment requirements were new for me. I was accustomed to my insurance being billed first and then receiving a bill for the remaining co-insurance. However I had to pay $200 on the day of the visit and was told that if I overpaid that I would be reimbursed after my insurance made payment. Because my dentist was new to the group, he needed to be enrolled with my payor as a part of this group. His previous enrollment was linked only to his private practice. As a result, it's been 5 months since I paid the $200 and the claim still has not been submitted and is pending completion of his enrollment. I learned this after making 3 calls to the office requesting a call back from a billing representative without response. It has been my experience that participating providers bill up front only for flat rate copays, but coinsurance is typically billed to the patient once the payor has processed the claim and generated an EOB indicating the patient's responsibility. I will be transferring my care once I complete my current treatment. I can no longer afford to "loan" them money until my insurance company makes payment.

Dr. Khanna is the number one dentist in my book, he is very patient with fidgety old ladies. I only knew him a short time but he did but he did terrific with me I am 86 and in June I will be 87 I am so grateful that I finally found a good honest dentist. He puts me at ease and I am very comfortable with him which is very important! I came in for a crown and after receiving a temporary crown it felt like nothing was in my mouth. I felt great. Then I came in for my permanent crown and once that was in it felt like nothing was there again. He is so gentle. I highly recommend.

Professional and friendly staff who are carefully following CDC Covid-19 guidelines. Dr Khana's years of training, knowledge and experience is demonstrated in the dental workmanship he performs and the services he provides.

Great dental care. The office is observing every precaution when it comes to protecting patients during the pandemic. Your temperature is taken and questions are asked about your health. You are given your own protective PPE to wear. You rinse and gargle with mouth wash and peroxide. This helps kill bacteria in your mouth. The staff is covered head to toe in PPE. They have special air filters in each exam room and throughout other areas of their office. I have seen Dr Khanna and Dr Goldberg several times for treatment since June 2020. I always had peace of mind that I was safe being treated by them and their staff.

I love this office! I have been going here for the last two years, their staff are friendly and caring. Being one who is afraid of the dentist, Dr. Khanna has walked me through each of the procedures and made sure my anxiety was as low as possible. During times like these after Covid they have implemented a perfect Covid prescreening to maintain the health of their patients and staff. They provide new masks and have air purifiers in every room to neutralize the virus. I recommended all my friends and family to come to this dentist! If you're looking for a new dentist, Dr. Khanna is the best!!

I have been receiving my dental care from this welcoming and friendly dental office for many years. During this time of Covid they made me feel very safe with all of the precautions they are taking (this includes temp and pulse check, rinsing mouth, wearing a mask, hair net, and booties). My dental hygienist is wonderful. She is careful, patient and thorough. My dentist, Dr. Khanna always does a detailed check after my cleaning. He is there for me if I ever have dental issues. I highly recommend Prosthodontic Associates!

I have been going to this practice for years and always very professional and pleasant and score 5stars for this. I find it disturbing however that while doctors offices do not charge their patients for PPE and any other dentist office that charges for PPE only charges $10 at most, this practice is charging $20. Now is not the time to find profit in the pandemic. Concerning.

I went to to 98 James st in Edison on 1/30/2021. The service itself was ok. My concern is I was charge a total of $364.00 for a regular cleaning no X-rays just a reg cleaning. My preventative treatment is covered at 100% . That means I've never, ever had to pay out of pocket for a cleaning. Not a dime in all the yrs I've had my insurance until today. Dr. khanna said when the check comes they will give it to me. Dr. khanna asked the guy at the front desk to put a "red flag" next to my name so when the check comes they make sure it goes direction to me and not as a credit on my account. l have a feeling the check is not going to be for $364 cause cleanings are usually not this much. I would love to have a clear explanation as to why I was charge $364.00. The doctor didn't have a clear explanation when I asked. Also, I was already at this office prior so the fee wasn't for a lack of insurance verification. I hope things don't get worst and I do not have to report this facility to consumer affairs. I will keep updating my status here. (written on 1/30/21)

Always ask for a pre-treatment out-of-pocket estimate if anything else is suggested by Dr. Khanna. Me and my wife went for cleaning as it was already december and wanted to get it done. Even though they said they are almost booked as it was end of the year, but got the appointment within a week from the date I called which was great. After getting the cleaning done for both, Dr. Khanna and staff suggested my wife to get some cavities fixed and why not get it done in the next couple of days as she could use up insurance for the current year, and surprisingly got the appointment in the next 2 days. I specifically asked what would be out of pocket and was told that apart from the deductible each of us paid, it wouldn't cost us anything. So we decided to get it done, at this time they don't trust you and your insurance, they made me pay $1300+ from the credit card first and said we will reimburse later once the insurance settles. With others usually I have seen that I get billed and asked to pay after the insurance settles claims. The insurance took a couple of months to settle all claims while I waited for my credit card charges to be returned but was eventually told that I still owed them $162. The fees charged for services were way over what my insurance pays for a similar service. We just went for cleaning with an estimate of $100 per person deductible but ended up paying $1300 from out of pocket and our insurance payed them $1500+ , Please always get it in writing what your out of pocket expenses would be before stepping into their office. Do not just get what they suggest you get done. Dr. Khanna and their staff wants to milk your insurance dry and make you pay for the expenses you have not planned for. With a simple google search with name I later found out that 2 out of 3 reviews post about suggesting services when not needed and overcharging for services.

You get what you pay for but there are some things money can't buy. The gentleness, professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff here is awesome! This is the only dentist office I enjoy going to. What's the point of getting your smile worked on, if you not gonna smile?
