Dr. Ben, co-founder of Promenade Dentistry, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physiological Science. Anatomy, physiology and all sciences have been his passion since he was in high school. This passion, coupled with a love for drawing and painting, was a perfect base for a successful career in cosmetic dentistry. He continued his education at the University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP) in San Francisco. This is the only three-year dental school (usually four) in all of North America.
Dr. Ben has taken multiple residences and continued education coursed in order to provide to all his patients needs under one roof. Dr.Ben has been recognized as one of Americas Top Dentists by Consumers Research Council of America every year since 2007. He has a Diplomate degree in Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Ben along with Dr. Shawn Javid (his brother and partner) are one of very few Holistic Dentists in the Los Angeles area and the only Holistic Dentists in the Santa Clarita Valley. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the international Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), the San Fernando Valley County Dental Society (SFVDS), the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA), and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM).
Dr. Shawn, co-founder of Promenade Dentistry, completed his undergraduate studies at California State University Northridge (CSUN), where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biological Sciences. He graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP) in San Francisco. After graduating from UOP, Dr. Shawn continued his education with a one-year residency program, focusing on cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery, his two favorite disciplines. Dr. Shawn has taken numerous courses and internships to further his education and stay current with the latest technologies and developments since graduating from dental school with honors in 1995.
