Dr. James M. Wei received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with honors in Biology. He was also a Design major at the UCLA School of Fine Arts. He continued his education and received his D.D.S. degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), School of Dentistry in 2000. After graduating, Dr. Wei and his wife moved to Chandler, Arizona, in 2000 and has been practicing dentistry here ever since. He has taken over one thousand hours of continuing education courses and seminars post-graduation to learn the latest dental techniques and advances, well surpassing the minimum state requirements.
Dr. Wei is able to apply his artistic design background and meticulous attention to detail to his dental restorations for the benefit of his patients. He is committed to providing his patients with a conservative approach to dental treatment and maintaining the highest quality dental care.

I would highly recommend a different dentist. When I made my appointment at Promenade Dental I did so becasue he was my childhood dentist. I felt having a relationship with a prior dentist would be best as they knew my history and we could build from this appointment moving forward. When making the appointment, it took leaving several voicemails and several emails to even get a response back. When I did finally get a call back (weeks later) and made the gal aware of this, they suggested the office gal had quit and wasn't doing her job properly. A month later I am called to confirm my appointment - I asked specifically for new patient cleaning and xrays. I made it clear I had been to a dentist earlier that year for my first appointment, and this was my second cleaning for the year as covered by my insurance. At no time was I told of an office policy. When I arrived for my appointment, I filled out my new paperwork and was taken back relatively close to my appointment time. The technician who took my xrays was pleasant, and this was done quickly. At this point, I am sitting in the chair for 30 minutes without anyone starting my cleaning, and there are no tools out in my patient room. The dentist came in, looked at my teeth and started ushering me on my way. When I suggested that I was here for a cleaning and not just xrays, he mentioned I would have to reschedule for this. Confused, I questioned. According the the dentist, I was only on his schedule for an exam. When pushed for why I would only come for an exam and not the kit and kaboodle as requested over the phone multiple times, he said he first has to decide what cleaning I needed. To be fair, I am astonished as this has never been the case for any dentist I have seen to date. When I asked what his diagnosis of my teeth were, he said I would be on the schedule for just a normal cleaning. I am obviously upset at this point as I have taken off work for this appointment. He then stated that the prior office gal was failing at her job and was either fired or quit and she failed to mention this to me. At this point he was making excuses as I had spoke to two separate office gals after the one being mentioned had already been gone for some time. I would also like to note that it was incredibly evident that the xray technician who performed xrays on me was new, and when Dr Wei was performing the exam in my mouth (tools and all) would raise his voice AT her and what I call berate her for making a mistake. It was incredibly uncomfortable to witness and be subjected to as a patient (I have had 87 cleanings done in my life to date and have never felt the amount of unprofessionalism as I did sitting in the chair). That being said, when Dr Wei offered for me to stay to see if another patient cancelled so I could get the cleaning (this was well past a hour of my appointment at this point in time), and I decided to decline as I was not certain this was the dentist office for me based on everything I had witnessed.

Had my first new patient exam today. The staff, hygienist, and Dr. Wei are all super nice. Very clean facility. Dr. Wei spent time with me, checked all my teeth and pockets and explained everything. The hygienist was awesome and did a super job cleaning my teeth. So glad I found this dental office

I've been going here for close to 10 years now. Its nice that the office has had the same receptionist, hygienist and dentist over this time. Really friendly people there.

I love our dental hygienist there. She is fantastic! Dr. Wei is nice too! They have after work hours that work really well for me so that I don't have to leave early for a cleaning. I really recommend them to anyone and everyone who lives in the east valley.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Wei and his team for 10 years now. We always have good experiences with everyone in the office. From Jennifer upfront, she is always kind, smiling and very knowledgeable with her dental billing and coding. Jolyn the hygienist is amazing! She does a very thorough job, firm yet gentle. I am very particular about my dental cleaning, and she is by far the best! Last but not least, Dr. Wei has done beautiful dentistry in my mouth from fillings, crowns, bridges... I never had a problem with them, and they are still in great shape after 10 years! JI highly recommend Promenade Dental to anyone who is looking for a friendly, calming, honest group of people who do wonderful dentistry!

Promenade Dental has been taking care of my teeth for quite a few years. It's always been a good experience. Dr. Wei and his staff are knowledgeable, professional and can handle any situation. Visits to the Dentist are never pleasant but Promenade Dental takes the edge off. After recently moving further away, I still plan to visit Promenade Dental on a regular basis.
