Dr. Alex W. Ramos lived in Ellenville, New York before his family moved to San Sebastin, Puerto Rico when he was six years old. There, he majored in the biomedical program at the University of Puerto Rico at Aguadilla. In 2005, he returned to the United States to pursue a career in dentistry and studied at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating in 2010. Upon earning his doctor of dental surgery degree, Dr. Ramos worked as an associate dentist in Wilmington, North Carolina from 2010 to 2012, then relocated to Charlotte where he became an associate dentist in a large group practice.
Dr. Ramos has received many awards and honors such as the Brasseler USA Award of Excellence, the Waterpik Prosthodontics Student, and the Whip Mix Corporations 2010 Hanau Best Award for Excellence in Prostodontics. He has also been recognized by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, Meharry Medical College Post-Baccalaureate Academic Excellence, and Whos Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Dr. Ramos believes in the importance of life-long advanced education and attends national and international continuing education courses supporting his commitment to dental education. In 2012, he was certified by Georgia Regents Universitys AAID MaxiCourses in Atlanta, Georgia after completing a comprehensive training program in implant dentistry. The AAID program is among the most respected, comprehensive implant training programs, and is the first organization to be recognized in the implant dentistry field. He is currently a sustaining member of the AAID, the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Ramos belongs to the Greater Charlotte Study Club. Known for being a gentle dentist, his patients enjoy his patience with their concerns while providing a high level of care.
With her vibrant smile, Maria is usually the first person you'll greet on your way in. She has a background in dental assisting and dental insurance. She works tirelessly to make sure you get the maximum benefit from your insurance.

The problems I've had with the overcrowding of my teeth and an overbite that has gotten worse as I've gotten older, is finally starting to get corrected with the Invisalign treatment plan started about 8 months ago! So so happy with the progress! The whole staff at Promenade is very friendly and helpful. My whole family has been coming to this practice for years and years. Would give 10 Stars if I could!

Promenade Center for Dentistry is undisputedly second to NONE in charlotte. The staff are equally friendly as they are professional and experienced. This place feels like family the second you walk in and they will always treat you that way. 5 stars, and two thumbs way up!

Excepcional place!! Our family been with Promenade Dentistry for years and we've only been happier every time we visited for more work to be done. I have 99 problems and Dr. Tang is not one. Dr. Tang has 99 solutions all from one location! I would imagine he has a few more than 99 solutions. Dr. Tang and his staff continue to do a wonderful job keeping my teeth in healthy condition. It was my first time getting my teeth cleaned by Kim and she was kind, efficient, professional and just a pleasure to be around. Please if you haven't tried this dental practice out yet, now is the time. Dr. Tang has state of the art equipment and continues to grow adding more space and more futuristic equipment. The whole staff is a pleasure to be around making a not so fun dental appointment somehow pleasurable. Go see what the hype is about.
