Dr. Janice Kaeley, a periodontist, is committed to providing the highest level of care with compassion and understanding for every patient. Dr. Kaeley is delighted to provide the most current periodontal procedures to the community of San Ramon. From the moment you meet her, Dr. Kaeleys passion for dentistry is evident. She takes the time necessary to educate her patients and help each patient find the right path of treatment for them based on all relevant clinical findings.
After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Dr. Kaeley decided to explore the world and attended the University of Melbourne, School of Dentistry in Australia to earn her Bachelor of Dental Science. During her studies at the University of Melbourne, Dr. Kaeley developed a strong interest in periodontics and dental implants. Upon graduating from dental school in Australia, Dr. Kaeley was accepted at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery and was elected to the prestigious dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, as well as Phi Kappa Phi. While at USC, Dr. Kaeleys interest in periodontics and dental implants was solidified. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Kaeley moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to pursue specialty training in Periodontics and Implantology at Indiana University. Here at IU, Dr. Kaeley not only earned a Masters Degree in Dental Science but she also obtained a minor in Oral Pathology.
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infections of the gum tissue and bone, perform bone regenerative procedures to restore lost bone and gum support, perform procedures to treat gum recession, correctly place dental implants and so much more. Periodontists are also experts in the treatment of oral inflammation. Periodontists receive extensive training in these areas during 3 additional years of education beyond dental school. They are familiar with the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease and are also trained in performing various cosmetic periodontal procedures.
I have always had a fear of visiting the dentist, even for a simple cleaning, just one of my phobias I suppose. Visiting Janice for the first time due to some perio work that needed to be done, of course I was nervous and sweating bullets, but she along with her assistant put me at ease like no other. I have since seen her a good handful of times and don't have that fear build up or anxiety anymore. The work performed was also great, no pain, really speedy recovery and no issues since.

The actual treatment experience was good. Facility clean. However the experience to get seen and book an appointment was frustrating. I was at their mercy. My appts were made at their convenience not at mine. What I felt was urgent care needed they treated very lightly. Even when I had appts scheduled they would cancel me and book me weeks later which meant I had to cancel my work days & rearrange my schedule again which meant delayed cared. I love information and I didn't get that from them. I still didn't get the results I wanted as to why my condition occurred or why or what I can do to prevent only the "let's see if treatment" helps which didn't. But I got an expensive cleaning care out of it.

Dr. Kaeley is kind and compassionate. She made me feel very comfortable and calm. She provided me with multiple options in moving forward with my care and I left feeling very informed. Her Team is also super friendly and communication was great prior to my first appointment. I've had some not so great dental experiences, but every appointment ive had here has been great and virtually pain free. I really appreciate both the email and text reminders. They're very helpful.

If I could give Dr. Kaeley 10 stars I totally wpuld!!I have a truly horrible fear of all things dental related. My entire experience at Progressive Periodontics has been absolutely fantastic! From the moment you walk into the office, every person you meet will treat you with kindness, compassion, and respect. Dr. Kaeley walked me through all of my options, and when I decided to have the Lanap surgery all of my questions were answered. The procedure went smoothly and painlessly. I'm so grateful for Dr. Kaeley and the entire staff. You can trust them to take care of you. You will not be disappointed!

Dr. Kaeley and her staff are amazing! My dentist had recommend other specialists in the area. I went and they had no bedside manners and did not make me feel comfortable. I went on to yelp and looked online. I saw Dr. Kaeley recommendation and made an appointment. From the moment that I walked into the office, I felt at ease. Dr. Kaeley examined my problem, and came up a recommendation. Over the holidays my tooth and gums got worse and I had a lot of pain. The local pharmacy did not have the meds in stock and Dr. Kaeley found another pharmacy that had the meds. Dr. Kaeley was very responsive and kept in contact with me to make sure I was okay. She got me in right after the holidays and did my procedures. She checked with me that evening to make sure I was okay. Dr. Kaeley went above and beyond expectations. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Kaeley and her staff, all were very friendly, outgoing and showed genuine concern for me. I sincerely hope that, if you are reading this, you call Progressive Periodontal. You will be very happy! Your smile will thank you, too!

Receptionist is nice but the doctor is rude when you ask her extra questions as if she just wants you to sign up for treatment without acknowledging concerns. She has a poor attitude and the word of her extremely high turnover is getting around. I wish I knew before.

Best place to get laser treatment on a cold sore. Relieves pain and shortens healing time tremendously. Anyone who gets these things needs to call here the minute you feel the horrible tingling.
