It is always easier to talk to someone when you know and trust them. Id like to tell you a little bit more about myself so we can start out our relationship better. Im hoping that by having a trusting relationship, you will feel open and be able to share your concerns with me, so that I will be able to take better care of your teeth.

I grew up in Sandy, Utah. My father and grandfather are dentist and my mother is a dental hygienist so Ive spent lots of time at the dentists office! Their examples have definitely played a big part in my becoming a dentist. I live in Chandler with my wonderful wife Lynda, and our two daughters, Eden who is 17, and Maiya who is 14. I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy the outdoors. We are avid hikers, mountain bikers, and skiers. You can often find us out on the sand dunes, or hiking the Grand Canyon.

After completing a successful service mission in Berlin Germany for the LDS church, I attended the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College, where I pursued a degree in Biology and a minor in German. I then attended Marquette University where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2002. While in dental school, I excelled quickly and was able to graduate early and attend many additional classes taught by experts in the field of advanced orthodontics and TMD (a jaw disorder). During my summer breaks from dental school, I was privileged to spend time volunteering in various dental clinics doing dental work and greatly expanding my experience in the field. Since graduating, I continue to take 20 30 hours of continuing education classes every year to be able to stay abreast of advances in technology. These classes have included topics such as implants, sedation, cosmetics, and other advancements in materials, procedures, and equipment.

I have been practicing dentistry for 14 years. I am passionate about education and providing the very best treatment for patients. I am a big believer in prevention, heath care, and dentistry has to do better job of educating patients and employing methods of preventing disease, whether it be diabetes or periodontal disease. In our office, only when prevention fails do we move on to restoring and replacing whats been lost. When this is necessary, we always try to restore things as closely to biologically ideal as we can, because things just work better when we follow the rules of biology. I now practice dentistry part time and am actively involved in mentoring other dentists and educating staff we are affiliated with to provide better care for their patients.

I grew up in Arizona and graduated from Mesa High School. My wife Stacy and I have been married for 27 wonderful years. We have six children: Kendra 26 married to Ricky, Alex 14, , Karlee 13, Spencer 12, Mia 11, and Amber 10. We live in Peoria. We love music! Stacy sings and plays the piano. I sing and play the cello. I love watching Drum & Bugle corps perform. You will find us at soccer, baseball, and gymnastics activities.

I attended several schools to prepare me for dental school. I started at Glendale Community College and moved on to BYU in Provo. I came back to Arizona State University and finished at Phoenix College. I attended the University of Washington Dental School in Seattle, WA. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1995. While in dental school I did research in gum disease and presented it in Chicago at a national research meeting. I was given special awards in TMD (a jaw disorder) and Oral Medicine.

I have been practicing for over 18 years. I am excited to be a part of Maricopa Family Dentistry & Orthodontics andas a co-owner with Dr. Pope at our sister practice in Chandler, AZ; Progressive Dentistry & Orthodontics. I am looking forward to meeting each of you as you come into our offices. Since graduating, I have practiced mostly in the west valley, but came back recently from Atlanta, GA. I stay current with advancements in Dentistry. My interest are implants, improving smiles and helping all my patients to feel comfortable receiving dental care

I see my purpose at work as this: helping you find a solution for your dental needs. Your perfect smile is what looking for! I like taking the time to explain what can be done now to prevent future dental problems.

Heres a little about me: Im originally from Phoenix, born and raised there. I have my own family I call us a very United family. I support my kids in baseball/softball, and I really enjoy watching them play. On my own time, I love cooking, hiking, and exercising.

I really like the staff at progressive. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and just want what's best for their patients. They also work with you on the price which is really nice. I went there yesterday with my three kids and they set them up with a chair blanket and toys and the receptionist even checked on them a couple times. I would definitely recommend progressive.

I came here for a second opinion and found my new regular dentist. All of the staff were kind, professional, and generous with their time and knowledge. The staff seem to value patient autonomy by thoroughly explaining things and involving you in your treatment plan. I felt respected. It is a safe space to ask medical questions. They also have an incredible savings plan for those without dental insurance.

The doctor that did my crown was amazing. His staff get work done but are not the best to interact with . It's like they bring whatever bad energy they deal with outside of work into work just depending on the day . Even when I have to call to schedule an appointment I Never look forward to it because I don't know what vibe I'm going to get . You never want to feel uncomfortable in a place where you spend your money at . I was going to give them a 1 but no because the business is ran well very well . It's just not the place for me but may be for someone else .

If you are strictly going in for a cleaning, the hygienist did a wonderful job. If this review was just about her it would be a 5. It's what happens after the cleaning that was reminiscent of my experience at TIMESHARE sales. The dentist is the closer. They take HUGE pictures of your teeth & put it on a big screen & the dentist tells you how awful your teeth look. Basically he tells you your teeth are crooked, (meaning need braces) I already had braces! You need teeth whitening, you need a $700 mouth guard that they sell for $500 plus, sealers would advised etc etc. After the dentist, you go to a 2nd closer in an office where they have the paperwork ready for you to sign for apparently everything your awful looking teeth need. When you don't sign, they shame you for being a Groupon customer & tell you how they are getting screwed by Groupon customers.

I have been looking for a dentist for a couple years so I was delighted to meet some awesome, friendly people! Debbie made me feel right at home and was so knowledgeable about financing and ensuring I received the proper care. Cindy has been super nice about describing and teaching me how to use the whitening and to ask if I had any questions. Of course Dr. was super nice and explained everything. I highly recommend Progressive and I can't wait to see my teeth after my journey!

Both Dentist and Assistants were very careful and considerate with me because I was a nervous wreck going in. They immediately recognized this and made every effort to make my dental experience as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

From the moment that you walk into this office you know that you're in a place of professionalism and that you'll be in good hands. We were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who helped us with the new patient process. Lorie. our Dental Hygienist, Cindee, Dr. Johnson's Dental Assistant, and Dr. Aaron Johnson made up the dental team that saw both my husband and myself. All three of these people were so pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. Even though we obviously were there for dental reasons, it felt as if we're back visiting old friends that we hadn't seen for a long time! If you're looking for a dental practice, look no further, because Progressive Dentistry & Orthodontics is the place for you!

This was the worst experience. It took over an hour and 15 minutes just to get the x-rays and measurements done. The girl was having problems with her computer and her head lamp. Once she was finally done, she said she was going to go to the office to see if they could do my cleaning. I had already prepaid for the exam, x-rays and cleaning so I wasn't sure why she had to ask. She came back with another girl that was trying to sell me an upgraded cleaning package for over $200. I told her that I just wanted the regular cleaning that I paid for. She replied, "so you want to leave the plaque and tarter there and just do a polish?" I just walked out. I was so disgusted. I never ended up even getting my cleaning done. This place is a joke. I would definitely not recommend this place.

I had the most amazing experience here thank you so much to Laurie Debbie and Jessica for making it smooth and easy. Best cleaning ever. Update: Truly the best practice I've ever been to. Dr Johnson was so gentle and efficient during my filling, I didn't feel a thing. If you have dental anxiety like myself this is the place for you. Kind, patient and painless. Thank you all

I called on a Monday morning with a tooth ache and was able to get in the same day. I was there for four hours and walked out with a full check up and deep cleaning as well as a root canal and temporary crown. The entire process was nearly pain free. They are very good at this stuff.

My entire experience was handled with care and compassion. I HATE going to the dentist with a passion. My dentist and his team are top notch. Clean office, nice warm calming decor. Followed Covid guidelines. Sanitized everything after use.
