We believe that preventive dentistry is the cornerstone of our health-centered practice. Early recognition and treatment intervention will optimize the long-term oral health benefits for all of our patients. Quality dentistry, together with proper home care, will ensure the best dental health and reduce the amount of dentistry needed in your lifetime. Our practice commits and prides itself on providing you the highest quality of dental services by:

On October 1, 1991, Dr. Sonny Spera began what was to be Progressive Dental, PLLC. The first office was located at 1080 Conklin Road in Conklin, NY. This had been the office of Dr. Milton Lawney until his retirement. Dr. Spera and a half dozen dedicated assistants, hygienists and office personnel staffed the small office for two and a half years. In that time, Dr. Spera added more office hours, additional staff and upgraded much of the equipment.

On April 4, 1994, the Conklin Office at 703 Conklin Road was opened. This office was built to accommodate the larger staff and provide state-of-the-art dental design. In 1996, after an office naming contest, our patients input gave us Progressive Dental and our current practice was born!

In 1998, Dr. Loveland retired and joined our practice in Conklin and in September 1998 we merged with Dr. Bernie Collins at 333 Hooper Road. We built our new office at 565 Hooper Road in Endwell, NY, which we opened on February 1, 1999.

We continued to expand Progressive Dental. In April 2004, Dr. DeRensis retired and Progressive Dental of Norwich, PLLC was born. We continued to work out of the office at 89 N. Broad Street and in October 2004 we opened our new office at 101 S. Broad Street in Norwich, NY.

Had nothing but great experiences. GREAT place to take kids. When my husbands tooth got infected and cracked due to his wisdom teeth, other dentists wanted to make him wait months. They took him in immediately and removed the tooth then and there.

I took my toddler (4yr) in and they were so friendly to her. The first lady cleaned her teeth, explained everything, and was kind. The dentist was quick and nice. He made her a balloon animal and they gave both kids gifts. Definitely recommend this dentists office for everyone.

It was the best destabilize experience of my 53 yr life. An extraction with no after pain. Or during pain. Dr. Mike was amazing and my DA Logan was the best. I'm in love With everything about this office. Same day service was not rushed and very thorough. And they were so kind to the hot mess that I am

Everyone is nicer than the next. I started at the Binghamton, NY office and switched to the Montrose, PA office as it's closer. I was under the care of Dr. Kim. Super nice and explains, in detail in a way that's understable, what procedure he will be performing. The work I had was pain free and quick. Dr. Kim's assistant was also very helpful and and really nice. The reception assistants are very welcoming as well. I highly recommend Progressive Dental. Also, did I mention how affordable they are?

I spent the last month calling all over the town trying to get in to a dentist to fix a tooth that had a massive hole with exposed nerves from a previous dental office, called progressive and they got me in the very next morning. Extraction went very well, dr Sherpa was phenomenal. The bed side Manner is great. I highly recommend seeing progressive dental

If I could give Progressive Dental of Binghamton 10 stars I would. From beginning(reception)to end(dental staff) they are outstanding. The dental hygienists are professional but kind and funny(helps ease the nerves ), never once did I feel like they were judging me (been too long since I'd been to a dentist) but they eased my own embarrassment. They are also quick with a box of tissues if you for example start crying when they ask how you are lol. Dr. Kim is the best Dentist I've ever had. Great bed(chair) side manor, he explains everything to you so know what to expect. He seems genuinely concerned with his patients dental issues and concern that goes with that whether it's just embarrassment or real fear of dental work. He also has a great eye for matching tooth color so anyone needing a partial or flipper etc he's your guy. They don't know how much it meant to me to be treated with kindness and professionalism and not made to feel bad for not seeing a dentist for so long.

Dr. Marcus Spera is such a talented professional. I am continuously impressed by his insistence on work that is exceptional, even when complicated. I was worried about a filling by Dr. Marcus and I honestly could not believe that he was done with the procedure. I didn't feel anything. While I have had a great experience with every dentist at Progressive over the last 15 years, I am very happy to be working with Dr. Marcus. Overall, Progressive Dental is truly an office full of fantastic professionals, from the moment I walk in, to being escorted out when I am done by staff in both Binghamton and Endwell offices. Plus, I love the office music. It adds calm to my visit each time.

I don't write bad reviews for things often nor do I really write reviews at all but I need to go out of my way to write about the poor dental care that I received at progressive dental. Last year I established here as a new client and they initially told me I had 13 cavities to be filled which is overwhelming and daunting in the first place. I proceeded to have my first 2 fillings done in the fall. Subsequently both of my fillings were botched and done poorly and both of my teeth that were filled initially had to have root canals done. The first root canal went fine and the crowning process went fine but the second tooth became a huge issue. The post that was placed in my tooth after the first root canal was placed improperly and caused my bottom teeth to bite into the post which caused some severe swelling to my face because of the secondary trauma of the post impaction. I went back the next day and they decided to grind my tooth down to make room for the post but decided it was best done without Novocain. Additionally I had a steroid shot given directly into my gum and again with no numbing agent given. My teeth have complex issues in terms of their alignment as well as impacted teeth above my current teeth that never grew down, but these facts weren't considered causing a massive amount of swelling. I ended up having to visit a local ER at midnight because of the swelling which was reaching my eye and was becoming dangerous and had to have a CT scan done and had to be loaded up on medications because of this lack of attention to detail. I had to beg for an appointment after this to have it looked at again and they ended up just making an incision to drain the swelling fluid and referring me to a specialist because they had no idea what they were looking at or how to help. After the Specialist resolved the issue after having to remove the original post and replace it again correctly over the course of 3 appointments causing me to spend thousands of dollars to fix this, I went to a new dentist to complete the process. After establishing with my new dentist, they took some X-Rays and found out I in fact only had 1 cavity that needed to be worked on not 13 or 11 now at this point in the process. That's a big disparity between findings from dental offices that are only a mile apart. Additionally, the cost of getting any dental work done is half the price at my new dentist when compared to what progressive is charging, for seemingly lower quality work. What is going on at progressive that there is such an issue with this? Why are they charging so much more? It feels like they are just trying to pump people through like a factory and make as much money as they can. Sure some of the hygienists and staff are nice people but overall the work is expensive, and it's done poorly from my perspective and from other people that have had work done their before as well. They didn't consider the other factors present with my teeth which caused major problems. I wouldn't go here if I was looking for dental work again, there's plenty of options around and this operation shouldn't be your first choice.
