At Profiles Oral & Facial Surgery we make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 561-622-9065. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.
We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. We can make arrangements for a monthly payment plan, but that must be implemented prior to the actual procedure.
Dr. Makepeace Charles, received a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Toronto. He then attended the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education where he earned a Bachelor of Education degree. Dr. Charles continued his education and received a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Victoria while simultaneously attending the University of Maryland Dental School where he was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS ). Subsequently, he completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto where he received a Master of Science in Anatomy and Certificate in both his specialty and Anesthesia.
In order to address more complex facial reconstruction cases, Dr. Charles completed a year of fellowship training at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri specializing in facial cosmetics and facial reconstruction. Dr.Charles was then appointed as a Assistant Clinical Professor in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Louis University Medical School.
Dr. Charles is licensed in Virginia, Arkansas, Florida and Missouri. He is licensed as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and is certified for general anesthesia in Florida. Dr. Charles is a staff physician at Northpoint Surgery Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and Columbia Medical Center with privileges to complete full facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. He has certificates from the Florida Dental Board, Southern Regional Board and National Dental Examining Board of Canada. He has received a Certificate in Advanced Trauma and Cardiac Life Support (ATLS) and is a current Instructor of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Dr. Charles is Board Certified by both the American and the Canadian Associations of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Charles extracted 3 molars. Had some initial pain but it healed nicely. I'd recommend him.

Dr. Charles is the best! I had two upper wisdom teeth taken out and I didn't feel a thing. Didn't even take the pain meds. I was terrified and he made it an easy experience... now I'm grateful :)

Awesome and the best at fixing anything that has to do with his profession! Which is pretty much everything! He has so many credentials! I wouldn't let any one else touch the inside of my mouth!

Doctor Charles was very nice!! The problem that I did have was with Receptionist in the first office. She was very rude and show's Great lack of patience. If you do go to this office just hope this specific lady isn't working that day.

Dr. Makepiece Charles, his assistants and staff are by far the friendliest group of people I have met in dentistry. I felt very safe and secure with having relatively major oral surgery done, and I'm normally not one to jump for joy to go to the dentist... Do yourself a favor: If you have any oral dental questions, give them a call - I'm glad I did! I found this group thru a reference at Waterside Dental in WPB - another great dentistry...
