At Profiles Oral & Facial Surgery we make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 561-622-9065. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.
We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. We can make arrangements for a monthly payment plan, but that must be implemented prior to the actual procedure.
Dr. Makepeace Charles, received a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Toronto. He then attended the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education where he earned a Bachelor of Education degree. Dr. Charles continued his education and received a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Victoria while simultaneously attending the University of Maryland Dental School where he was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS ). Subsequently, he completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto where he received a Master of Science in Anatomy and Certificate in both his specialty and Anesthesia.
In order to address more complex facial reconstruction cases, Dr. Charles completed a year of fellowship training at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri specializing in facial cosmetics and facial reconstruction. Dr.Charles was then appointed as a Assistant Clinical Professor in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Louis University Medical School.
Dr. Charles is licensed in Virginia, Arkansas, Florida and Missouri. He is licensed as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and is certified for general anesthesia in Florida. Dr. Charles is a staff physician at Northpoint Surgery Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and Columbia Medical Center with privileges to complete full facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. He has certificates from the Florida Dental Board, Southern Regional Board and National Dental Examining Board of Canada. He has received a Certificate in Advanced Trauma and Cardiac Life Support (ATLS) and is a current Instructor of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Dr. Charles is Board Certified by both the American and the Canadian Associations of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Have never had a more pleasant experience with any physican. Dr. Charles was nothing short of extraordinary. Explained everything in a way that I could understand and made me feel at ease about everything. Would definitely recommend anyone that needs wisdom teeth out go to him . Got all 4 out in one shot and feel a world of difference.

Called for an appointment to extract 4 wisdom teeth a week prior to my supposed dental appointment....Gave my insurance information and thought everything was good they confirmed that it accepted it. Got a scheduled date took off that day for work only for them to call me the day prior to my appointment, to tell me they don't accept the insurance I have blah blah blah....0 starts for unprofessionalism

I had my first surgical procedure done here (Four wisdom tooth extractions). Dr. Charles and his staff made sure to make me feel comfortable during the process. His team made sure to answer any concerns I had whenever I called the office or came by for a follow-up appointment. Dr. Charles and staff are great!! My old filings started to fail one by one, at 35 years old it was disappointing news. They all made my nightmare a more pleasurable experience. I appreciate all their efforts and know that I can not be afraid when the next one breaks.

Dr. Charles is my favorite doctor. I had a horrible car accident and have had to have 17 corrective surgeries. By far my experience with his care and staff has been the best. He completely fixed my TMJ. Now I'm able to resume my singing career with no pain and no more headaches!
