An endodontist is a dentist with special training in diagnosing and treating problems associated with the inside of the tooth. They do only endodontic procedures in their practices because they are specialists. To become specialists, they complete dental school and an additional two or more years of advanced training in endodontics, one of the nine specialties recognized by the American Dental Association. They perform routine as well as difficult and very complex endodontic procedures, including retreatment of previous root canals that have not healed completely. Endodontists are also experienced at finding the cause of oral and facial pain that has been difficult to diagnose.Endodontists have advanced surgical and nonsurgical skills that make them uniquely qualified to treat routine as well as complex cases. The care that an endodontist provides is supported by intensive education on how to perform the very best endodontics. Endodontists also attend continuing education courses after they are in practice, so they are knowledgeable about state-of-the-art research, clinical procedures, and technology.

This dentist is the bomb !!He's very professional and gentle! I was so comfortable with him and I didn't feel a thing! This was the best dental experience I've ever had. He saved my teeth with a root canal and just to think I was gonna get a extraction... thanks Dr. Cannizzaro you're great!

I originally went to Dr. Tismensky for an endodontic re-treatment of a root canal. However while there he explained the pain in the tooth I though was the problem was in fact the tooth next to it. I was first hesitant and he noticed that reaction and told me if I wanted to wait a week the pain should localize too the infected tooth. I did not want to wait and was happy to find any option to stop the immense pain coming from my teeth. He had billing draw me up a new contract for the new tooth, which was less money. 12 minutes later and the root canal was done. I understand he has done this procedure more times than I know. However I have had over 5 root canals in my life and this was the least amount of hassle. After explaining after care and prescribing me medication. I payed my smaller bill and left. I expected after the Novocain I would have a sore mouth, that was not the case. In fact I did not need any pain killers after the treatment (Never has that ever happened before.) Thank you Dr. Tismensky for being a Genius in your field. Would recommend 10/10

Dr Surjan did an excellent job on my root canal and made me feel comfortable the entire process. Also, the receptionists were super friendly and greatly helped with figuring out exactly what I would pay out of pocket with my dental insurance.

I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend avoiding this place under any and all circumstances. Don't let a friendly receptionist fool you into thinking this is a professional establishment worthy of your trust or money. Because the receptionist seems to be the only good about this place. I was due to get a root canal from one of their Endodontists at the end of the week, but because I was still under a waiting period they tried to claim they didn't need to charge the contracted insurance price through my insurance provider, Delta Dental. This is completely incorrect. I know this is incorrect for a fact, because I spoke to my insurance provider on two separate occasions after Southwest relayed this information to me. Their first excuse was "well since you have a waiting period delta dental allows us to charge our full uninsured fee for service and we don't use the contracted price we have through them." First off, that doesn't even make sense. Delta dental "allows" you to skirt the rules and laws of their insurance? Doubtful. Extremely doubtful in fact. Especially since I've spoken to Delta. The next excuse when I asked for a call from their actual billing department to verify what they were saying was correct was "well the law of Illinois says if you are under a waiting period you don't get the negotiated insurance price either so we charge you the uninsured prices." So first it was delta allows us to scam you and then it became well the state law says this is the case. Funny how that changed so quickly huh? The fact of the matter is both of those statements are lies they had to come up with because I did my research. And it tells me two things: 1) they should absolutely not be trusted by you to do any services up to par if you can't trust them not to take advantage of you and can't trust them not to try and steal more money than they're allowed to. And 2) they likely were never going to submit my bill to my insurance company after seeing I had a waiting period because they likely saw an opportunity to take advantage of me and charge the non insurance price because of it. Which is fraudulent on top of being immoral and quite possibly illegal. I've spoken to two different dental offices since this happened earlier this week and both have said that's in fact not the law and that regardless of my waiting period for the service it's still a covered service after that ends and because of that I should be charged the insurance negotiated fee. Which is EXACTLY what both delta insurance agents said also for the record. This place is clearly run by people who should not be trusted with anything inside your mouth or any services. I wouldn't trust anything out of their mouth and I'd truly beware so they don't attempt to take advantage of you also. STAY AWAY. It would be zero stars if this was an option, because they're shady as hell and honestly I think they're scam artists.

My new dentist recommend Vladmir Timensky dds Endodontics so I went that day. I never had a root canal done in my life. He did a great job absolutely no pain. He was vary Profesional and he knew what he was doing. He went the extra mile to make sure it was done right. I am vary anal on how things are done in general and picky. I will definitely go back again. Update: 04/25/18 I had to go in again because I was getting a crown put on my back tooth. I needed to get into him right away because the dentist is going to be putting the permanent crown in in a few weeks. I went in for a consultation found out it needed a root canal. Because of the health insurance if I went back to have it done a separate day it would have been more expensive. He fit me in on the spot and did all the work. He did great work. I will always go to Vladmir. This guy does great and perfect work every time and very professional.
