ProEsthetic Dentistry: Dr. Maha El-Sayed - General dentist in Alpharetta, GA

Raised in a small town in northern Pennsylvania, I pursued a career in dental assisting. After becoming a Certified Dental Assistant in 1999, I continued on expanding my knowledge in the Dental Hygiene field. After graduating from the Dental hygiene program in 2001, I migrated to the south Florida area and then relocated to the Atlanta area in 2010.

At this time, I was introduced to an incredible office where I met Dr. Maha. We worked hand and hand and eventually became her assistant. After assisting for many years, I took some time to branch out and start my own dental staffing company, Distinct Dental Staffing. Here, I get to enjoy a little of everything. Staffing offices with great employees has been very rewarding and has lead me back to Dr. Maha in 2015.

Working so well together and giving patients our utmost care has been rewarding in itself. Our teamwork shown from all the staff makes each day a great day. The knowledge, kindness and excellent skills by Dr. Maha enables us to provide the best dental care possible.

She has obtained the skills required to be considered a specialist in the field. This extensive training provides her the knowledge of creating tooth replacements, understanding the dynamics of a great smile, and preserving a healthy and beautiful smile.

We constantly strive for the best results for our patients, which also means we are dedicated to researching and employing the latest technologies. Our technical advancements provide multiple benefits for our patients, including faster, more accurate diagnoses and faster, more comfortable treatment.

  • Digital X-rays:A wireless sensor is placed in the mouth, and a computer generates images onto a computer screen in 30 seconds as opposed to the general 4-6 minute wait time for images taken on dental film. Digital X-rays are much safer than traditional X-rays, reducing a patients radiation exposure by 90%!
  • PlanMeca Digital Panoramic Radiographs:provides 3D imaging of the patients facial structure and tissues in the minutest detail. These X-rays give a comprehensive view of the mandible and maxilla as well as the tissues, joints and sinuses.
  • Sopro Intraoral camera:An intraoral camera can project an image of your tooth onto a monitor, so you can see the problem in a magnified version and how we can correct the issue. It can also identify problems that may not be detected by the general means of examination, including cracks in your fillings or fractured teeth.
  • Zoom! Teeth Whitening:In a little over an hour, this safe and effective system can give you the instant results you've been wanting. A specially designed light activates the Zoom! Whitening Gel to gently break down stains on your teeth to put the sparkle back in your smile!
  • Nitrous oxide sedation:Nitrous oxide, more commonly known as laughing gas, is often used as a conscious sedative during a dental visit. The gas is administered with a mixture of oxygen and has a calming effect that helps phobic or anxious patients relax during their dental treatment. Because it is a mild sedative, patients are still conscious and can talk to their dentist during their visit.
  • Single Tooth Anesthesia System (STA):With Single Tooth Anesthesia, a computer controls the delivery to a precise location (tooth) with a controlled amount of anesthesia. The STA numbs the affected tooth only not the cheek, lip or tongue. In other words, there is no speech impairment, lip biting or drooling after treatment! As an added benefit, the anesthesia takes effect and wears off quickly. STA works great for patients of all ages because it is pain-free anesthesia there are no syringes or pain associated with the injection.
  • Invisalign:A modern alternative to traditional metal braces, the Invisalign system straightens teeth using a series of customized, removable, clear plastic appliances called aligners. No one will notice you are straightening your teeth unless you tell them!
  • To ensure that all our patients feel welcomed, we have created a functional yet beautiful office environment! We want everyone to feel relaxed and peaceful while receiving the most up-to-date treatments in our state-of-the-art facility.
