He attended Baylor College of Dentistry in the early 2000s and followed with several noteworthy years in the military. He followed this track to become a prosthodontist. During his time in the U.S. Army, Dr. Roe provided care to active-duty soldiers and family members, both stateside and in Afghanistan. He was hand selected by the commanding general of the Special Forces to accompany them on their tour and provide dental services to Special Forces soldiers during their deployment.

Dr. James Browning received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M University Commerce, and his Master of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. He worked as a software engineer in Plano, TX for eleven years. Though he had a good career, he felt unfulfilled. He had always wanted to pursue a career in health care. Dr. Browning acquired an interest in dentistry when he reunited with a good friend who had moved to Dallas to specialize in pediatric dentistry.
The more he learned, the more it drew him in. After much prayer and planning with his wife, who was with child at the time, they decided to go for it. He continued to work full time and began taking night classes to prepare his application for dental school. He was accepted and graduated from Texas A&M College of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. At graduation he received recognition for excellence in removable prosthodontics with the Horace P. Beachum Denture Prosthesis Award.
After dental school Dr. Browning completed a Master of Science in Oral Biology and a three-year residency to specialize in prosthodontics. Dr. Brownings research topic involved evaluating the dimensional stability of 3D printed tooth-supported implant surgical guides after autoclave sterilization. Dr. Browning is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the American Board of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Dallas County Dental Society.
