Dr. Charles Pritchett (Dr. Chuck) has specialized in orthodontics since 1970. He was one of two students in the Indiana University dental class of 1967 to graduate with high honors, receiving the Xi Psi Phi Honor Key Award for maintaining the highest academic average during his four years of dental school. His outstanding academic achievements led to his induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity (the National Dental School Honor Society). He went on to receive his masters degree in dentistry (orthodontics) from the University of Kentucky.

To keep abreast of the latest developments in orthodontic care, Dr. Chuck takes part in continuing education courses on an ongoing basis. He formed and currently participates in dental and orthodontic study groups and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Chuck is closely affiliated with both Indiana and Kentucky universities, teaching at both graduate orthodontic programs. His staff has benefitted greatly from his outstanding academic background and teaching experience. He has personally trained his staff in the complex orthodontic procedures they perform, as well as the reasons they are necessary and the consequences of those procedures.

Dr. Chuck is a member of the Ormco Insiders Group and the Hoosier Orthodontic Forum. He is also a member of Omicron Kappa Epsilon (top 10% of their dental class), a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and Fellows of International College of Dentists these are the top 3% of dentists in world selected by their peers as top dentist in Indianapolis area.

Dr. Chuck enjoys traveling with family, the Colts, he is a racing fan/enthusiast and enjoys teaching. He is married to Karen they have 2 children John and Mary. They now have 4 grandchildren Gabrielle, Alexandria, Charley and Elisa.

John Pritchett has been the President of Pritchett Orthodontics, practicing orthodontics on the eastside of Indianapolis and Greenfield since 1997. Since 2009 he has owned/managed CherryTree Professional building that houses 6 separate dental practices.

Dr. Pritchett received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Indiana University School ofDentistry in 1994 and was awarded Omicron Kappa Upsilon (Honorary Dental Society for top5% of dental students across the country). He completed his orthodontic residency at theUniversity of North Carolina in 1997 receiving his Master of Science Degree and Orthodonticspecialist certificate. He was awarded the Outstanding Research Award for his masters thesison pain perception. Since then he has been awarded membership in the American College ofDentists and International College of Dentists for Leadership and Service in the dental field.Acceptance of membership in these groups is less than 2% of the dentists nationally andworldwide.

He has been active in leadership in several dental organizations. He is the past president of theIndiana Foundation for Dentistry for the Handicapped, an organization that has donated over20 million dollars worth of dentistry for the state of Indiana to date. He also served as pastpresident of the Indiana Association of Orthodontists, Hoosier Orthodontic Forum, and Eastside Dental Study Club.

He is currently on the Speedway Action Committee in charge of obtaining lap sponsors for theIndy 500 and donations to the Speedway Museum for the Brickyard 400. In the past, he has been a part of the Marlin Jackson charity board, Dale Davis charity board, and Yasiel Puigs charity board.

In his spare time, Dr. John enjoys scuba diving with his daughter, Colts games, and horse racing. He and his wife Jennifer reside in Indianapolis and have a daughter Gabrielle.

Pritchett Orthodontics is truly honored to introduce Dr. Ariel Mitchell into our office family. Dr. Chuck Pritchett, while teaching at Indiana University School of Dentistry in the orthodontic department, was very impressed with Dr. Ariel and he felt she would be a perfect fit for our practice. Dr. John Pritchett concurred after his first meeting with Dr. Ariel!

Dr. Ariel was raised in Central Indiana and feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to practice in the community where she grew up. She feels very excited to have a job that allows her to watch patients grow, develop, and to help make an impact in their lives. We feel privileged to be able to add a person with her personality, orthodontic knowledge and her compassion for her profession and her patients.

After graduating from Brebeuf Jesuit High School, she attended DePaul University where she earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology. Dr. Mitchell earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from Marquette University School of Dentistry, graduating with the highest distinction. She was awarded the Dr. Calvin Gander Endowed Dental Scholarship 2017-2018, the Marquette University Dental Scholarship 2017-2018, and the Cream City Medical Society Scholarship in 2018. Dr. Mitchell has since gone on to obtain her Master of Science in Dentistry and Orthodontic Certificate.

Dr. Ariel has volunteered for the Admissions Student Panelist-MU School of Dentistry in 2019, the Mission of Mercy-Wisconsin Dental Association in 2018, Give a Kids/Head Start MU School of Dentistry in 2015-2016-2017, and the Boys and Girls Club in 2015-2016.
