Dr. Adam Pristera is highly trained and vastly experienced in delivering the best possible orthodontic care to all of his patients, regardless of their age or orthodontic needs. Our orthodontic treatment options mean very little without a competent, qualified staff to deliver them. Thats why we take pride in our professional, courteous staff. Our staff is genuinely interested in delivering compassionate, personalized care. Likewise, they know that your time is valuable, so they keep our office running on schedule.
We constantly strive for the best results for our patients, which also means we are dedicated to researching and employing the latest technology in the orthodontic field. Fulfilling my dream since high school, I became a general dentist in 2005. Working as a general dentist, it didn't take me long to discover a passion for two areas of dentistry: orthodontics (braces) and endodontics (root canals). After years of hard work and schooling, I'm now proud to be one of a very small number of specialists in both fields. The love I have for my career is reinforced by both the personal and professional rewards from each of my two specialties. As a dual specialist, I have a unique opportunity to positively change the lives of patients of all ages. Because I'm involved at so many stages of treatment, across a wide range of ages, I can focus on the unique needs and goals of each patient individually, helping to plan out a beautiful smile for them in the long run. In serving the communities of Renton and Burien, I strive to deliver the best possible care to all of my patients. Education Ive been a dentist since 2005 when I graduated number one in my class from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, at which point I was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for outstanding academic achievements. I furthered my dental training by completing a General Practice Residency at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, treating medically compromised patients of all ages and managing patients with severe dental-facial trauma. I then continued my training, specializing in endodontics (root canals) at the prestigious Endodontics Department at Columbia University in Manhattan, New York. After practicing in high profile offices on Central Park South in New York City, I went back to specialize in Orthodontics at St. Barnabas Hospital, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. This advanced specialized training, combined with my years of experience in practice, provided me the expertise necessary to manage even the most difficult cases.
Millie - Treatment Coordinator Millie is our treatment coordinator. She joined our office in November of 2016 as our scheduling coordinator. Prior to working with Pristera Orthodontics, she provided customer service at a salon and spa for eight years, but her true passion was to work in the dental field. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew as well as cheering on her boyfriend at his motocross races with their dog Leo. She loves being around people and making them laugh. Millie enjoys getting to know our patients and family members throughout their care. Desai - Financial Coordinator and Orthodontic assistant Desi was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She grew up playing tennis and watching sports such as football and basketball. She said the best things about growing up in Hawaii are the beautiful beaches, warm weather, excellent food, and friendly locals . She graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus in children development. She started off in the workforce in 2012 with Pediatric dentistry before continuing with General and Orthodontics a few years later. She moved to Washington and joined our team in June of 2019. So far, she is enjoying the different seasons and experiencing the PNW lifestyle. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, hiking, and trying different types of food from various cultures. She loves working at Pristera Orthdontics because of her co-workers and the constant interactions with patients and parents.

Everyone here was very nice, prompt, and efficient in their care with my braces! The consultant there, Millie, did a great job in breaking down the expenses of the whole process concisely and very friendly. Every dental technician and doctor there were just as helpful, always making sure I knew how to care and what to expect for my braces before, during, and after treatment.

Before we went to Dr Adam Pristera's office for my son's braces, I was a the little concerned what the process was going to be like for my son. Any parent is going to think about their child first when getting braces. Well, you're not the only putting your child first going with Pristera Orthodontics. They are also putting your child first! You feel so welcome in the office anytime you walk in and we enjoyed going to the follow-ups and relaxing in their nice clean offices at both of Pristera Orthodontics locations. The offices have a convenient distant cushion sitting bench where I could relax, be safe, chat with a customer, play a video game, to be able to see my child, get coffee and enjoy the window wall's calm view. Doctor Adam and staff gave the best possible personalized care, had two locations to make scheduling more convenient, very competitive on price and his packages, all in a professional environment. Where do you find that? Dr Adam and his staff are finished with my son's teeth and he is set for life with his straight teeth. What we are not set with is we will miss Dr Adam and his staff very much! We wish we could go through the process again as it was so pleasurable. Thank you Pristera Orthodontics! You are the Best!

Very great orthodontist, they really help explain the treatment plans and make sure you will understand what it is that you will or might need, his assistant who directed us was very very friendly and professional, and because my mom was too exited, she forgot her name. Our family has been with Rudey Orthodontics since 2012, having my oldest completed his 23 1/2 months ortho treatment in August of 2014. Right after the completion of my oldest ortho treatment, my second child started his ortho treatment. In the middle of his treatment Dr. Pristeria purchased the dental practice from Dr. Rudey. At first, I was a bit nervous having a different doctor treating my child in the middle of the ortho treatment. Though because the same staffs (front line personnel as well as the dental assistants) were kept in the office, it did give me some peace of mind. But after meeting and seeing Dr. Pristeria on a regular basis, he sure did gives me more comfort, assurance, and confidence that the dentist who took over my child's ortho care is indeed an excellent doctor if not better. Many patients like my family whose doctors and dentists that they'd been seeing for many many years all of a sudden retire or sold their practice for some reason or another rethink of also finding to switch doctor or dentist. As a matter of fact, we sure did recently switch our family practice dentist and eye doctor. We feel that the new family practice dentist and eye doctor who purchased the office practice have changed or have a different policy practice and are not to our satisfaction. Although we have no choice with regards to our second child's ortho care because he was in the middle of his treatment plan when Dr. Pristeria bought the practice, we still have our third child who will need braces too. With regards to Dr. Pristeria, he went through the same scrutiny with our strict guidelines. We also evaluated his office policy, bed side manners, and especially his professional knowledge thoroughly to make sure if we want to continue with his practice for our third child. With this thorough review I just did, you can guess by now that we sure are sticking by Dr. Pristeria's good hands! Thank you Dr. Pristeria!

Dr. Pristera is my daughter's orthodontist. He is a very good doctor and our family are very happy about his service. His staffs are very nice and very helpful too. We had a very good impression on the first visit. He is very patient to answer all the questions we ask every time. He is very professional and explained the procedure so detail. It is very important to have a good orthodontist for my daughter. My family and I are so glad that we found Dr. Pristera. I highly recommend Dr. Pristera to anyone who needs to see orthodontist.
