A native of Medellin, Colombia, Dr.Correafirstgraduated from Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud-C.E.S.in 1988 as a General Dentist and worked as an independent dentist in Colombia for 12 years. During these years, she sharpened her abilities by attending a great deal of Dental Seminars, Conferences, and Continued Education Courses, such as Straight Wire Orthodontic Techniques, among many others.
After moving to the United States, Dr. Correa continued to pursue her passion for dentistry by going back to dental school at Loma Linda University in California. In June 2007, she received her second degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), in the USA.
Dr Correa moved to Texas in 2007, where she has establishedhis practice in Frisco, TX as she very much enjoys the diversity and warmth of the city. Shecontinuously enhances her knowledge and skills by taking numerous continuing education courses in orthodontics, implants and implant restorations, and all aspects of cosmetic dentistry so that she can keep up-to-date on the latest techniques. In 2016 she took a year long Implant Externship Program from Dental XP and the State UniversityofNew York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.In 2019 shebegan to learn Dental Acupuncture. Every year she improves her abilities and knowledge with new techniques.
Her primary goal as a practitioner is to build strong relationships with her patients based on trust and confidence. Sheoffers the best services in a very professional way,keeping a very friendly environment for everyone around her.
Dr Correanot only provides dental services, but also establishes a lasting bond with her patients. She is known for delivering her services with professionalism, kindness, experience, and,most importantly, patience. This is why her patients cherish her not only as a dentist, but also as a friend.
Along with providing exceptional dental care to all of her patients, Dr. Correa is an active member of the North Texas Hispanic Dental Association (NTHDA) an, as a board member also enjoys giving back to the community in any way she can. Actually, she created the The Soccer Smiles Tournament in 2014 which is used to collect donations to make it possible for under-served families to receive free dental health screenings among other things.

Profesional, caring and courteous staff. Dr Correa is very knowledgeable, easily identifies dental issues and explains treatment options thoroughly. The front desk ladies are awesome; they patiently walked me through the steps prior and post my dental work answering any questions along the way. Prisma Dental offers top of the line care - definitely the best dental office in the DFW area.

We had a wonderful first time experience at Prisma dental. The staff is very friendly and everyone was so kind to me and my two kids. It was my daughter's first dentist appointment and she had a very positive experience. Dr Navarro walked me through the treatment options for my case and answered all my questions.

Don't be fooled by these folks and how nice and attentive they seem to be. They will find any way to make a buck out of you. We have Aetna PPO Dental plan. We called our insurance to make sure our coverage details to be mindful the costs. A simple cleaning was fully covered by our insurance. But, these people know that, and they know they will fool you in selling you all kinds of products NOT covered by insurance and you end up paying out of pocket hundreds. Perhaps the sh!ttiest part is, they tell you all this BS that you need, or they will "strongly" recommend for you while you're laying down with your open mouth, taking advantage of your vulnerability. Vultures! Beware. If you go to this place, be STERN and do NOT take the bait! We're done with this place. @Prisma Dental owner. Thank you for taking the time to respond. This is the right place for starters. Second, I am not your patient, nor will I ever be. Our family member was your patient; hence this review stands by your business ethics and practices. I have been coming here for the past 5 years and my experience with Dr. Correa and her staff is the best, they will always follow-up for appointments and also any changes with insurance. Before making any procedures they will let you know if your insurance will cover it or if there will be a copay. I would highly recommend Prisma Dental to anyone.

The BEST DENTIST IN TOWN! I'm so grateful that many years ago I found Dr Correa to be my dentist. She is lovely and really care about her patients. She always has a smile for you and she takes her time to explain every detail of your treatment. Very honest and she will always try to do the best for your case. I know what I'm talking about because I'm a dentist in Brazil and so, I know that I can trust in Dr Correa's care. Her team is great. Maria is the best! I feel them like my family!
