Pringle Creek Family Dental is a Salem-based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers, and more.
Dr. J. Travis Duffy, his wife Marcia, and their two daughters moved to the Salem area from Southern Oregon. Originally from Portland, Dr. Duffy, decided it was time for a change and transitioned from a long career in the construction field. Giving up his general contractor's license to pursue full time school when his oldest daughter was just a few months old, Dr. Duffy put the first month of tuition on his credit card. They had faith that good things would follow. It was quite a journey and after 7.5 years of full-time school, the dream became a reality and the dental doctorate degree was achieved. Several months after graduation, Dr. Duffy and his family made the move out of Portland to pursue his dental career in the rural community of Winston, Oregon. While there were many things they loved about the small-town lifestyle, the Duffy's missed friends and family in Portland and soon realized the Salem area looked like the perfect match to settle down and build a practice.
Dr. Duffy enjoys all aspects of dentistry. From extractions, root canals, crown and bridgework, implant placement, and restoration, he meticulously diagnoses and treats each patient with the same care as he would his own family.
In his free time, Dr. Duffy enjoys exploring new places, playing games, discovering new hole-in-the-wall restaurants, watching college football, and movies. Dr loves movies so much that patients are able to choose from a large variety of movies to watch while getting a treatment done. :-)

Alright. I cracked a tooth bad and it hurt like a mother bear. Dr. Duffy and his radtastic staff got me in quick and handled my tooth with no pain! Amazing! An hour later and I have my life back! Professional, courteous, and caring!

EVERYONE is friendly and helpful, the Office Manager, the Dentist, the Hygienists, and the Surgery Assistants!!! They make oral surgery as painless as possible, and as affordable as possible. Making appointments is easy and Marcia the office manager is able to fit you in when you need it! The dental office is extremely clean, all employees wearing masks during Covid years!!! The quality of care, level of professionalism, and welcoming atmosphere at this dental office are unparalleled! Before any appointment, I already have peace of mind that Dr. Duffy and his team will be able to address any of my dental issues. I cannot recommend them enough.

We just moved to Salem from Henderson, NV. I really hate going to the dentist but I had a pain in my tooth and gums that I couldn't ignore. I was originally scheduled to see the neighboring dentist, but the pain was too much so I needed a sooner appointment and that dentist was at a conference. They recommended Dr Duffy and I'm glad they did. After speaking to the amazing office staff, I was able to get an appointment the next day. The day of the appointment I was incredibly concerned that a root canal was in my future. But when I arrived at the office the staff continued to keep my mind at ease. I was able to go in fairly quickly with an incredibly nice assistant and the doctor came in shortly after. He was calm and fun to talk to, I've never felt so at ease with a dentist. He found the culprit quickly! A stowaway popcorn kernel. That was it! He cleaned out the area, took a quick X-ray to make sure everything was ok, and I was done! I was prescribed a mouthwash and made an appointment for a cleaning in a little over a month. I'm not going to say that I'm going to be skipping into the office with great glee in my heart when I go back for my cleaning, but I also won't hear the Imperial March as I walk into the office. Thank you everyone at the office, I'll see you in a month!

We struggled for a long time to find a dentistry that we were comfortable taking our family to, until we found Pringle Creek. Personable, friendly, warm and they're so so good with our kids. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a new provider.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Duffy. He cares about his patients, he answers questions and talks through problems thoroughly - so you really understand. And his team is so warm and friendly. They are simply the best!

I have been terrified of the Dentist ever since I was young and had a poor experience. It affected me so much that I actually never went back to the dentist for 10+ years (horrible i know!) When I got older I realized how silly I was and that waiting would only make things worse so I started researching dentists in the area and came upon Pringle Creek Family Dental. I explained my situation to them and they were immediately comforting and never once made me feel guilty for not going to the dentist for so long (something I had experienced before and was afraid of.) They had fast communication through email and scheduled my examination appointment quickly around my schedule. At my first appointment they provided a very warm and comforting approach. All of the staff were friendly and explained all of the procedures before they occurred. Dr. Duffy was very informative and sat with me for an hour examining my teeth, showing me close up pictures, and explaining everything he saw in the x-rays and in the pictures. He was not pushy in any of the things that he suggested and even gave me a list of factual pros/cons for some procedures so that I could weigh things out on my own. When I went in for another appointment to get a cavity filled Dr. Duffy let me tell him the things I was worried about during the filling and he listened and explained why/when some must be done but that some probably won't have to happen. He was comforting through the process and has a sense of humor to ease the nervousness I felt and continued reminding me that he could stop at anytime if I was feeling to uncomfortable. The cavity filling came out nice and smooth and I no longer feel pain in that area of my mouth! After all of the experience that I have had here I am no longer afraid to come and visit! TLDR: Everyone in this office is amazing, Dr. Duffy does great work, and they provide a very comfortable environment for patients that are scared of the dentist.

Pringle Creek Family Dental offers truly excellent customer service. They take the time to explain to me what's going on with my dental health and give me examples of how I can improve my habits. I have been a patient of Dr. Duffy's for almost 2 years. He is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to, very gentle and quick, yet thorough. They all make billing and procedures straight forward and as painless as possible. They are always pleasant and play great music too. And I hear for my next appointment I'll get to watch a movie while Dr. works.

My son had the best dentist experience. A very active, happy, curious, adventurous boy who pushes his Momma to the limits. Like most 3-year olds, he is easily distracted and has 163 questions of why/who/how. However, the staff of Pringle Creek Dentist office did a fantastic job of hearing my voice to help keeping my son happy. This is why I brought my son to Pringle Creek Dentist: As parents we all want the best care for our kids and at times we can over indulge to make sure their experiences are positive. I made the mistake of taking my oldest (5 yrs) to one of the popular, highly advertised, "kid friendly" places here in town. Well, it was interesting to say the least. In the lobby there was a play structure, fish tank, TV, and coin machines. The walls were covered in murals, exam rooms had TV's on the ceiling with 100 different movies to choose from. My daughter was expected my daughter to name off whatever show she wanted to watch within seconds of getting into this room for the first time. She was over-whelmed, over stimulated and ended up in tears, not able to express herself in words. The hygienist seemed annoyed with the crying and rushed through the cleaning procedure without giving my daughter the opportunity to calm down and get to know the environment. We thankfully got through the cleaning and she was awarded two extra prizes from the 'goody' box- which meant we left there with seven -7 small, cheap toys that would end up in the trash just a few hours later. This experience made me realize that I expect my kids to go to the dentist because it's part of our routine in staying healthy, not to get a prize for participating. A bad experience cannot be reversed by a prize. We can't thank Pringle Creek Dentistry enough for doing what they love, sharing that enthusiasm and being more concerned that my son had the best experience they could provide. They paid attention to him, his comfort, and anxiety lever, and he now has realistic expectations of a dentist office.

I found this dentist office after leaving my last one due to insurance issues. I wish I would have come earlier! The hygienist is friendly and works efficiently, and they use the ultrasonic cleaner too if you have tough plaque areas. I think the dentist is great too, because he explains the process and does not rush into treatments you may not need. I had to wait once when they had an emergency and they were very apologetic and kind about my time. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Duffy is without a doubt the best dentist I have had ever. He takes such pride in his work I always leave feeling like I'm his most important patient. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they always remember me when I call or come in. Besides being very professional the doctor and his team all have great senses of humor, which can be helpful when visiting the dentist! Dr. Duffy has all thr latest tools and technology to provide a 5 star visit. I've left reviews before, but every time I leave the office I feel like I need to say again how much I love this dentist and his staff. If you're looking for a new dentist or you are not completely satisfied with your current dentist this is your guy I won't go anywhere else!
