Dr. Matt Peers was born in Moline, Illinoisand raised in Davenport, Iowa. He attended University of Nevada Las Vegas for undergrad where he was a biology major with a minor in chemistry. He received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Dr. Peers has operated his own office in Las Vegas, Nevada following dental school and now practices in Princeville, Kauai. Dr. Peers has extensive postdoctoral training and experience in orthodontics, dental implants, and IV sedation. He also has advanced training in facial esthetics and myofascial pain treatment through the Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE). Dr. Peers is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Hawaii Dental Association (HDA) and the AAFE. He has volunteered for the Loloma Foundation, which performsmedical and dental services in Fiji and also has volunteered for giving Kids a Smile in Southern Nevada. Currently, Dr. Peers serves with the US ArmyNational Guard.
Dr. Thomas Atkin is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended the University of Utah where he attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduating at the top of his class with cum laude honors. After dental school, Dr. Atkin served four years as a Dental Officer in the US Navy at Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base, Hawaii, and Pearl Harbor Naval Station while also working in private practices in Kapolei and Kailua, Oahu. He has taken postdoctoral courses and has extensive experiencein prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and is an Invisalign certified provider. He has also performedvolunteer services at Aloha Medical Mission. After his tour of Naval service, Dr. Atkin moved to Kilauea, Kauai where he currently resides and practices at Princeville Dental.
Kalei was born and raised on Kaua'i and has been in the dental field for more than 17years. She has been with Princeville Dental since its opening, in 2014. Kalei started out as a dental assistant and through continuing education, has worked her way into a managmanet position. She strives to make sure that every patient that comes through our doorfeels comfortable and is taken care of in the most professionalmanner.While she is not workingshe enjoys spending time with her family. She is a proud mothertoher son, Ricky Boy.
Born and raised on Kaua'i, Susana graduated from Kapa'a High School and then continued her education, gaining her AA in Liberal Arts here on Kaua'i and then moving to Portland, Oregon to obtain her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Patients appreciate her calm, friendly chair-side mannerand gentle touch. Susana enjoys working alongside a team of caring, knowledgeable professionals in a state-of-the-art dental practice. On her days off shecan be found spending time with family and friends, hiking, relaxing on the beach or practicing yoga. Susana hopes to brighten your day as well as your smile at each visit.
Nalikka wasraised on Kaua'iand graduated from Kaua'i Community Collegein 2014 with a Liberal Arts degree. She has worked at Princeville Dental since August of 2015. Sheenjoys helping the community throughoral care. As a dental assistant, she ensures that our patients have the best and most comfortable experience possible. In her spare time Nalikka enjoys the outdoors, getting to the beach whenever she can and loves to hike.

Eghhhh... im not huge on leaving bad reviews - however , I do feel somewhat of a responsibility to let people know , that there are much better options on island . the staff here is nice , the dentists are decent guys but the work done is not great , office far over charges for every service , they are not very honest and you don't receive that - overall " taken care of " feeling you want from a dentist . I saw them for about 3 years and had SO much dental work done that I am now learning was subpar - plus experiencing much issues from many of the teeth . I'd search elsewhere .. like , Lihue ... I'm

Princeville Dentist has been my dental office of choice since they first opened. I couldn't be happier with the dental staff. They are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I feel well cared for and respected during my twice annual check-ups.

My wisdom tooth removal experience here was the best I could have asked for. Staff was helpful, kind, professional, clean and timely. My recovery was speedy and the whole experience was way less intimidating than I had expected. Thank you Princeville Dental!

I called and asked the receptionist on the phone if my cleaning would be covered by my insurance and she said it would, so I made an appointment. It is my understanding that the receptionist is no longer with the company. However, when I sat down in the chair before my cleaning my exact words were "last time I paid out of pocket and this time I am paying with my insurance HMSA Quest". My dental hygienist said that they wouldn't cover the x-rays she suggested I have, and told me what kind of x-rays they would cover. She neglected to tell me they wouldn't cover my cleaning and when I checked out I got sprung with $100 bill. She was so nice so but that is lame and unprofessional.

I have a great fear of dentists, but Dr. Peers did absolutely amazing with calming me down. HisWork is amazing. The color match on my crown is unbelievable the best dentist I've ever had.
