One reason I recommend Dr Cortese is that he is tuned into his patients. If you have an issue, he will hear you when you explain it. Many dentists listen but they don't hear. Plus he has the skill to address it. So if your teeth or jaw hurt, and no one is listening or can find out why, call Dr Cortese. Kristen Larsen, RDH

Dr Cortese is by far an expert at his craft! His ability to balance esthetics and functionality is what sets him apart. Dr. Cortese takes his time, listens, is gentle and above all else he truly cares for each of his patients like family! My Mom was in very bad shape when she made an appointment with Dr Cortese he took the time to listen created a plan that was right for her when everyone else she went too wouldn't treat her. He was there for her. She no longer wanted to look in the mirror her smile was that broken. We are so grateful for Dr Cortese because now my Mom finally has her smile back!

My daughter has been suffering from pains and discomfort from TMJ for quite some time before coming to Dr Cortese. Although not a conventional case for him, Dr. Cortese started the treatment after a careful evaluation. Within 3 months, my daughter was finally free from those painful symptoms! She can now open her mouth to have a hearty laugh without worrying about a locked jaw! Very happy with Dr. Cortese's expertise and treatment. Highly recommended!

Dr. Cortese is the BEST!! He saved my smile by creating an implant tooth that looks completely natural despite that I'd been told elsewhere I'd likely need veneers or multiple caps after a biking accident destroyed one of my middle upper teeth. Instead, I have my own smile back bc of Dr Cortese's talent, skill, and dedication He is literally an artist in terms of how he creates implants and crowns, and he is also an excellent dentist/surgeon. I've been a patient in his practice for almost two years now and my teeth and gums are healthier than they've ever been. In terms of bed side manner, Dr Cortese says he treats his patients the way he would want to be treated, and it's true! He takes the time to listen and to explain, so that you're fully informed and understand what is happening and why. His staff are also incredibly helpful and caring, and they are really nice. They truly care about the patients, and it shows. The level of quality and care in Dr. Cortese's practice is outstanding in all ways. I will always go to his practice!

Excellent doctor and excellent office. Went there for TMJ and he resolved it with no drugs and no surgery. Cronic pain is gone.

At first plates worked for TMJ..but stopped working after a week. I called them for a week straight for an adjustment. No return call...Went to office they were mortified...Then called for an appt due to gums bleeding in plate.Melissa told me I had to wait for an appt in a month and a half...Then I had an appt one day .Got there at 3:01...Wife at desk forgot about me ..I was sitting for 2 hrs.It is all on my phone..They were so embarrassed. NOT GOING BACK ..I was told to call anytime..No return...They forget ...Dog running through office...I'm done.

TMJ success where others fail! Prior to seeing Dr. Cortese, I went to a major teaching hospital which basically told me to "live with it". Dr. C is masterful both technically and in patient care. So happy to have found him and his staff. Didn't know hitting the rewind button on TMJ was possible. No guarantees but Dr. Cortese gives his patients the best chance of success.

Dr Cortese and his staff are wonderful. They treat each patient as if you are the only one. Their attention to each person and their needs are incredible. I would never go to anyone else. Dr Cortese is the one and only dentist i truly trust. If you want a dentist that threats you like a person and has a caring staff, go see Dr Cortese.

Have you been suffering with TMJ pain that consists of more then just jaw pain, like ringing in your ears, ear pain, headaches etc. Dr. Cortese can help you. I've been a dental assistant for well over 30 years and know that he has extensive training in TMJ and a successful track record of helping patients that feel helpless due to their pain because of TMJ. Don't let the pain cripple your life. Call he can help you.

Dr. Cortese is a miracle worker! I went to several other providers, and nobody else could do anything for my TMJ pain. Dr. Cortese's treatment eliminated my jaw pain. I used to have headaches every day. Now that my pain is gone, I don't need to take ibuprofen every day, which has also helped my stomach. I sleep better too! I can't get over how amazing my results are. If you have TMJ pain and are looking for something that will help, stop searching! You found it! Don't waste your time going anywhere else.

I went to Dr. Cortese because I had a total TMJ anterior dislocation. My mouth would only open a very minimal amount. Dr. Cortese used a two appliance method to treat this, and in three months I had an 85 percent recovery which is phenomenal. He was great to work with, he has a great personality and makes you feel at ease from the beginning. Having the results that I have, I would highly recommend Dr. Cortese to anyone with serious TMJ issues.

Went to see ENT and he suspected that I had TMJ. I made an appointment with Dr Cortese. He evauluated me and said I had TMJ. I wore a daytime appliance for 3 months and wear a nighttime appliance every night. Dr Cortese helped me to get better. I would recommend seeing this Dr if you are experiencing TMJ.

I visited Dr. Cortese in July 2019 because of painful jaw and neck pain. It hurt to smile and to turn my neck when I was driving. I was miserable. Dr. Cortese did an extensive evaluation of my symptoms and formed a plan that included a daytime and nighttime appliance. As of today, December 2019 I feel so much better. With in a few weeks of wearing the appliances I felt tremendous relief of my symptoms. Any time I had a concern they were addressed within the same day of the doctor and his staff. You will be in good hands at this office! Thanks for making me feel better!

Dr. Cortese and his office team do a really great job taking care of TMJ patients. Many dentists claim to specialize in TMJ, but finding a specialist in this area who really knows their stuff is very hard. I felt that Dr. Cortese really is an expert in this area. He put me on a personal care plan that involved the creation of custom day-time and night-time devices. After a few months, I feel much better and my pain is almost gone. Thank you Dr. C and your great and caring office staff. You have done right by me!

I sought an appointment with Dr. Cortese this past June to treat my severe TMJ disorder and it was the best decision I've ever made. I had been suffering with TMJ for 5 years, progressively getting worse and worse over time. I had seen countless of doctors and oral surgeons, cycled through 4 different appliances, took NSAIDs and muscle relaxers around the clock, and failed every type of treatment. I would wake up every single day with a baseline tension headache and it would only get worse as the day progressed. Every night the pain would be so excruciating I would often just break down and cry (and I have a VERY high pain tolerance). I had muscle knots throughout my face and head and my face was always swollen. I felt hopeless. I thought every doctor was just going to tell me the same thing - "wear this appliance, take these muscle relaxers, there is nothing else we can do." I was desperate. My first appointment with Dr. Cortese was monumental. I think I actually remember crying; partly in pain, partly in desperation, but mostly because he was the first doctor to say these words to me - "You have one of the most severe cases I have ever seen, but mark my words I am going to do anything I can to help you and I won't stop until you find relief." He spent over an hour with me in his office giving me his upmost time and attention and got me started on his personalized treatment plan. Fast forward to now, 7 months later, and I no longer cry in pain and agony. I no longer wake up every morning with a baseline headache. I no longer have to spend the entirety of my days massaging my own head, I have no more muscle knots. No more Advil, no more falling asleep at my desk from muscle relaxers. Not to mention, my face completely changed! There's no more swelling, I can actually see cheek bones I never knew I had! I got my life back. I can finally go about my day like a normal, healthy human being, PAIN FREE. I never thought this was even possible. Dr. Cortese and his office staff are incredible. They are warm, welcoming, and end up feeling like your family. I now even see them for ALL my dental needs, not just my TMJ treatment. To put it bluntly - these people actually give a damn. I would recommend Dr. Cortese to anyone, especially if you are suffering from the same disorder I was. I understand how painful it is and I understand being skeptical - I was too. But I PROMISE you, this guy does whatever it takes to help you, and you WILL find relief. Making that first appointment changed my life forever!
