Dr. Flanders was raised on a dairy farm in upstate New York. Once he graduated dental school, Dr. Flanders became a United States Army Active Duty Dentist, serving through the Desert Storm War. He came to Murrells Inlet in 2017, after spending over 24 years in private practice in Delhi, New York. Delhi is a quaint town in the Catskill Mountains.
Dr. Flanders and his wife, Katharine, currently reside in Murrells Inlet, and they have two grown sons. Their eldest son is an oncologist in the United States Navy, and their youngest son is a math professor at Grove City College in Northwest Pennsylvania.
