Dr. Wade Wheeler re-opened Primrose Dental in Springfield, MO in June of 1998 after our previous owner had retired and closed the doors. Business was very slow at first so he offered 24 hour emergency dental service as a way to build clientele. Over a decade later we are still the only dentist in Springfield, MO that will see anyone at anytime.

If anyone ever asks me about this place I will tell them to avoid it all costs. The staff may be nice but Dr. Wade Wheeler is the absolute worst dentist I've ever seen. His attitude is repulsive. Please save yourself the time and trouble and go to Jordan Valley or literally ANYWHERE else.

Dr. Wheeler is a Saint. Took my emergency call late tonight to take a tooth out that was causing major problems. Quick, efficient and very nice. Absolutely recommend.

Can someone tell me how they have emergency call and no one answered. The No Cap is when Dr Wheeler got on the line an said his name and told me that I was not a patient that fits the bill. All because I was getting government assistance. Boycott Dr wheeler

I really can't understand the one star reviews. Dr. Wheeler was Incredibly kind and understanding. He was the only Dr in the area who fit me in his schedule last minute to help relieve me of my UNBEARABLE tooth ache. The staff was ALSO incredibly kind and helpful every single step of the way. 10/10 recommend. He had my tooth out in less than 9 minutes with ZERO pain. THANK YOU DR. WHEELER FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND! I'll never be grateful enough for the help I received today at Primrose Dental

I couldn't get anyone in a 100 mile radius while I was having excruciating pain and I called primrose dental and they accepted me in as a walk-in. The professionalism they shared, the caring they gave , I have seen nothing of the same. I wish they were in Florida and I recommend them and place them at number 1 dentist I visited in my life. Thanks a bunch primerose.

Staff are liars, and rude. You will receive a bill months later. I asked before leaving if everything was taken care of, financially before leaving. Also, the repair on my tooth broke off within a couple months. I knew after Dr Wheeler kept grinding on my tooth for a small cavity, the outcome wouldn't be good. I said something in regards to it. Dr. Wheeler said it's like a popcorn kernel in your tooth. It feels larger than actually is. Going to Primrose dental was the biggest mistake ever!!!

Buyer beware! Staff is rude and incompetent. Does not inform in advance about "office" policies regarding preauthorization for treatment even when the procedure they are preforming doesn't require preauthorization from your insurance, they then expect you to pay for the covered treatment prior to them submitting a claim to said insurance. You then have to wait for Primrose Dental to issue you a refund. Completely asinine and ridiculous way of doing business!

I have been at this dentists office for a few years now. The staff is always really great; all professional, kind, & informative. Dr. Wheeler on the other hand, has been snippy and rude to me every single time I've been in his office. He always has seemed inconvenienced, rushed, and short towards me. During my most recent visit with him I was scheduled for a procedure, one that I wasn't aware my insurance wouldn't cover at the time. I was made aware of this at the front desk & I asked if it was a possibility to reschedule in a few weeks when finances were more available. Dr. Wheeler asked to speak with me, & promptly told me that next time I needed to make sure my finances were in order so I "didn't waste more of his time". I have never been in a situation this uncomfortable with a Healthcare Provider & was so taken back and embarrassed about the whole encounter. I will not be returning to Dr. Wheeler, & would caution any new patient to steer clear from Primrose Dental & Dr. Wade Wheeler.

Big scam watch out they might say you owe money from 20 years ago when you never been to them before lol they claimed i was there 20 years ago and i got a crown but first off that would have made me 14yrs old also i never had a crown also should i mention my parents had insurance so dont you think i would have used it if i even did go there lol SCAM ALERT

I was so relived when I was able to book a last minute appointment at their office due to a cancellation. The lady on the phone was so sweet and gave some instructions on how to ease the toothpain prior to the visit. Appointment was scheduled at 3:45, was told to come in at 3:30 to do paperwork. Asked around 4:05 to see if we were up soon, room is being prepared. Almost 4:25, almost closing time. People going in with appointment times later than ours. I asked again what is going on, one of the staff members said my appointment was at 4..? At this point we are very confused. A procedure had taken longer longer average but we were never informed. Why not just tell us this in the first place? We came exactly on time, did what we were told to do. Never did once someone come out to inform us what was the hold up. After almost an hour, my mother and I left. I was truly looking forward to a good experience. I have been in Healthcare for quite a while and I understand if an exam takes a while. However just a small word and letting know truthfully what is happening can make a difference for a patient in any setting. The consistent excuses for holding up time - "cleaning up a room, your exam was actually at 4". This was unbelievable. We came to this place for a solution and found ourselves in a bigger mess. This situation was not treated as an emergency but more of last minute... "lets squeeze you in to see and what happens" type of deal. I hate hate leaving bad reviews but this was truly an experience I will never forget. This was just a inconsiderate and awful visit. I also agree with the last two reviews about staff mannerisms. Unapologetic, excuses, just not what I expect from a healthcare setting at all.

This Dentist is AMAZING!! My husband had 2 pretty infected wisdom teeth and they got him right in. Dr Wheeler was very fast and efficient pulling BOTH teeth with no pain!! If you have a dental emergency I high recommend this dentist!

I have never experienced such a level of rudeness from a healthcare provider as I experienced with Dr Wheeler. I was made to feel like I inconvenienced him, I was belittled, and I have never been more embarrassed. If you are looking for a good dentist in town I would caution you to stay away from Primrose Dental and Dr Wheeler.
