Prime Smile provides general dentistry maintenance and treatment services for children in Indianapolis. Both of our facilities are conveniently located and fully equipped for X-rays, tests, and treatment. Wetreat childhood cavities as well as perform extractions and fillings.

Prime Smile believes that good oral health is an important part of total health. Visiting us on a regular schedule provides our dentists the opportunity to implement preventive dental health habits and detect issues before they occur to help keep a child free from common dental/oral issues.

Making your childs visit to the dentist pleasurable goes a long way in the establishment of trust and confidence in dentistry. We want all children (and adults) to feel good about visiting the dentist. And, we want them to learn how to care for their own dental hygiene at a young age to last them a lifetime of healthy teeth.

Prime Smile has two locations in Indianapolis, in Irvington, and at Eagledale Plaza on the west side. We have five Indiana-licensed dentists to see patients at our offices. And, each office is fully staffed by five hygienists, four front office staffers, and five assistants at each office. And if you speak Spanish, no worries many on our staff are bilingual.

Dr. Katie is a graduate of DePauw University and the Indiana University School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and an affiliate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Katie became enchanted with the pediatric patient population early in her career and has focused on the care and treatment of young patients ever since. She has worked at the westside office since 2005, as an associate then lead dentist, before acquiring both the two practices. This has allowed her to sharpen her leadership skills and create a staff that shares her vision of patient first.

Dr. Nazia Zaidi attended Rutgers University where she received both her Bachelors of Science as well as Masters in Biomedical Sciences before attending New York University where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Following dental school, Dr. Zaidi primarily worked with an adult population but soon realized she found working with the kids who came through the office to be much more rewarding. Her favorite part about working at Prime Smile is how the goal for each patient is to create a warm, welcoming environment in order to foster a positive outlook on dental care and start healthy habits young! In her free time, she enjoys trying different cuisines, traveling to new places and spending time with her husband, Ali, and son, Zayn.

Dr. Samantha, known as Dr. S around the office, has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. She realized early in her career that she had a special passion for treating her youngest patients. Kids are so open and funny and every day is an adventure when you are treating children. There is no better feeling than seeing a frightened, scared patient turn into one who loves coming to see you! Dr. S graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and Ball State University. She has 2 children, Austin and Kennedy, and a very crazy dog, Sadie. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and loves nothing more than curling up with a good book.

Dr. Priya grew up in metro Detroit, Michigan before attending Michigan State University where she got her bachelor's degree in Physiology. Following her undergraduate degree, she relocated to Fort. Lauderdale, Florida where she received her dental degree from Nova Southeastern University. After graduation, she worked in general dentistry seeing both adults and kids of all ages. Through the years she found she had an affinity for working with children and loves that at Prime Smile she is able to pursue that passion by primarily working on kids. The kiddos bring a different joy to the day making each day different and exciting. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and golden retriever, Graham Cracker, exploring Indiana, cooking, reading, and doing yoga!

Dr. Niyati Shah grew up in Munster, Indiana, and began her education at Indiana University in Bloomington. At IU, Dr. Niyati received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Spanish and Nutrition Science. She then went on to University of Kentucky College of Dentistry to pursue her doctorate degree. Dr.Niyati has a passion for learning and serving the community, especially all the kiddos! In her free time, Dr.Niyati can be found spending time with her husband, Abhi, and her dog, Leo, exploring Indianapolis and all it has to offer.

Dr. Marycarmen Carpio Hernandez grew up in Caracas, Venezuela. She earned her degree as a General Dentist from Santa Maria University. She practiced as a General Dentist in Venezuela for more than 3 years and completed a year of residency in Orthodontics in Venezuela as well, where she had the opportunity to work primarily with adolescents and children. She then joined Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey, where she earned her degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Dr. Marycarmen finds it very fulfilling and enjoyable working with kids and loves having the opportunity to help create long lasting oral health habits in children while connecting with them in a way that is soothing and reassuring. Dr. Marycarmen likes spending time with her husband, Grant, being active outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Resha grew up in Southeast Michigan and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, with a concentration in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She then relocated to the Big Apple, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University. After graduation, Dr. Resha moved to Indianapolis with her husband. She is committed to making every experience at the dental office a positive one! Dr. Resha enjoys fostering healthy oral hygiene habits for the kids young adults alike. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new restaurants downtown, reading, and traveling.

Our mission is to provide dental care services for the underserved in the greater Indianapolis area. The majority of patients we see are covered by Medicaid, but we do accept other dental insurance programs as we are an in-network provider for a myriad of other insurance plans. As a team, our goal is to accommodate all of your children on the same day.
