Dr. Mirkal is a Board Certified Biological Dentist, Naturopathic Doctor, and a Mother and values health focused approach towards Dentistry. She was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She graduated with BDS degree from Dental school in India in 2002. Following Graduation, Dr. Mirkal practiced with an Oral surgeon for over five years mounting to her proficiency in Surgical Dentistry and Oral cancer screening.
After moving to the States in 2007, Dr. Mirkal graduated from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2012 with D.D.S degree. She was actively involved in Student Research Organization at Michigan. She served in public health services and helped the underserved communities of western Massachusetts Hampshire county for over two years, While she worked there she emphasized on prevention program for kids with sealants and create awareness for periodontal diseases in pregnant women, she proactively sent at least a handful suspecting lesions in her patients to the surgeon which later got diagnosed with Oral cancer. Dr Mirkal emphasizes on a thorough comprehensive examination as a first step toward better oral health. She later moved to private practice settings and has a well-rounded experience with patients from different walks of life.
Following the birth of her daughter Dr Mirkal set on a quest for safe, minimalistic options for health issues. This lead her introduction to Holistic/Biological Dentistry. Since then she has undergone rigorous training to become a Board Certified Biological Dentist. She is one of the very few dentists here in DFW who practice safe Biological Dentistry. In 2019, Dr Mirkal earned Board Certification in Naturopathic Medicine through the ANMA. She is also the recipient of the the prestigious High Achievement Award. Dr. Mirkal has spent several hours getting Continuing Education above and beyond state requirements. She is an active member of several coveted organizations. Dr Mirkal is SMART certified, Protection protocol certified and an environmental friendly Dentist and an Airway Mouth Doctor. She looks forward to helping you with an whole health perspective towards Dentistry.
In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. They have been residents of North Dallas since 2014. Dr Mirkal is a member of holistic moms network, Like all moms she is reading labels, getting second opinions for any procedure, and seeking nutrition before medication. Dr. Mirkal feels she has found her lifes calling in the principles and practice of Biological Dentistry so her work is truly her passion.
Dr. Dhwani Shah is a general and cosmetic dentist in Dallas, TX. Her strong focus on dental education allows her and her patients to formulate treatment strategies together, providing the opportunity for them to be active participants in their dental care. Beyond that, she provides a warm and friendly atmosphere and experience for her patients and their families. Her practice philosophy centers on conservative, esthetic and comprehensive dentistry while using state-of-the-art technology and techniques.
A California native, Dr. Shah received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of the Pacific (UOP). She completed a Masters of Science (M.S) degree in Global Medicine from University of Southern California (USC). She then went on to get another Masters of Science (M.S) degree in Biotechnology from the esteemed Johns Hopkins University. She graduated with high honors in her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. She completed a General Practice Residency at the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Hospital, where she provided dental care for medically, physically and mentally challenged patients.
As an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), Dr. Shah continues to participate in continuing education courses (500+ hours completed) and surrounds herself with some of the best dental practitioners in the field.
Dr. Leanne earned her designation in Naturopathic Medicine from Trinity School of Natural Health in 2017. Since then, she has continued her studies, training in clinical homeopathy and is certified through the Center for Education and Development of Homeopathy. Recently, she attended training at the Klinghardt Institute to broaden her studies in Immunology.
Dr. Leanne trained with the most caring, trustworthy team on the (EAV) Electroacupuncture according to Voll, studying Energy medicine. She specializes in Bioenergetic feedback in homeopathy. In optimizing health, prevention is the focus, so safe and healthy modalities are offered; lifestyle modifications, natural remedies, nutrition, detox and homeopathy.
Dr. Leannes passion lies in obtaining optimal wellness and restoring health. The state of Texas does not currently license Naturopathic Doctors. Thus, Leanne holds her licensure in Nevada and acts in Texas as a health and wellness consultant.
