Dr. Dela Cruz (a.k.a. Dr. Niel) was born in the Philippines and immigrated to Reno, Nevada with his family when he was nine years old. Attending Truckee Meadows Community College, in Reno, he earned his Registered Nurse degree and practiced for seven years specializing in Telemetry. He was motivated to pursue a career in Dentistry, due to past family experience of minimal access to a dentist in the Philippines and how it affected them physically and mentally. He wants to give the best dental care he can provide to his community and keep them healthy.
Dr. Niel attended Midwestern University Dental Program in Glendale, Az. There, he gained many different skills to help his patient oral health become and stay healthy. He insist on learning about his patients and listening to their needs, concerns and wants for their oral health. His main goal for patient is to prevent future dental issues by being proactive, instead of being reactive, which can save his patient a lot of time, pain and suffering. He continues to invest in his continued education, to keep up to date on new dental technologies, best practices and be able to increase his services for his patient. He also volunteers at community health events around the valley, to provide services to patients that are in need, like AZMOMS and CADSF.
When Dr. Niel is not in the office, he enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his family and friends to stay active. He has participated in multiple half ironmans, cross fit competitions in that past and believes that being physically healthy can help him provide better care for his patients.
