Dr. Hyung-Jun Kong came to the United States at the age of 19 from Seoul, South Korea by himself for higher education. After receiving his BS degree from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. in 1994, he attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois for his dental career. He was one of the very few dental students who successively graduated a trimester earlier with a dentist license from the state of Illinois in 1997. Practicing general dentistry for a few years, he pursued his specialty training in advanced prosthodontics for 3 years at University of Florida, School of Dental Medicine (2002~2005). Then, he was appointed as a full-time faculty member at Southern Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine, Alton, Illinois. He taught conventional and implant prosthodontics to undergraduate dental students and served as a director in a post-graduate implant fellowship program. After devoting himselffor years in dental education, he chose to practice his dentistry in Winter Park, Florida. He always provides the best individualized high-quality dental care to each of his patients with exceptional clinical judgement and experience.
Dr. Hyung-Jun Kong is currently a clinical professor at LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida and has given numerous lectures and live surgeries to dentists across the United States. He was a former clinical faculty member at Advanced Prosthodontics in University of Florida where he was trained to be a specialist.

As a doctor, he recognizes that his patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in him and his team. Dr. Koen, originally from Amarillo, Texas, received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After practicing for a number of years in New England, he and his wife decided to move back to Texas to be closer to family. Dr. Koen, his wife Sara, and their daughter Willa could not be happier to call Austin, Texas home. After meeting Dr. Carol Evans, Dr. Koen chose to practice here at Main St. Dental because of a shared belief in providing state of the art, relationship-based, comprehensive care that is tailored to fit into the lives and budgets of his patients.
Dr. Koen is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, and the Capital Area District Dental Society. Committed to providing the best care possible for his patients, Dr. Koen completes over forty hours of continuing education per year, and has taken postdoctoral courses in prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and is a member of the Seattle Study Club. Overall experience was GREAT! I never really write reviews but I felt this place really deserved it . Humble practice , not sales people out to suck you dry . They really took care of me and did their best to be honest while not breaking the bank. 100% recommend to try them out !

Dr. Kong took his time and explained in detail every step of the procedure. He also presented me with three different treatment options. The staff is extremely kind. My work requires multiple sessions to complete. I am on my third visit and each experience gets better and better. I would recommend Dr. Kong and Prime Dental to EVERYONE!! Dr. Kong took away the fear of the dentist office. Thank Dr. Kong!!

Dr Kong was the only dentist who called me back when I cracked my tooth on a weekend. He offered to see me if the pain was unbearable, but I was able to tolerate it until that Monday. How many dentists would do that??? I knew at that moment I found my dentist. He is the absolute BEST dentist I've ever had. I needed a lot of dental work because of years of neglect. He fixed everything that was wrong and brought my smile back. I've had an implant and crowns, everything went very smoothly. I'm thankful he minimized the pain because I'm a big baby. The fact he can do implants and crowns, while also being my dentist is so convenient. I have to drive an hour to see him, but he's so worth it. I used to hate going to the dentist, but with Dr Kong, it's a pleasure. If I could give him a 10 star rating, I would.

Dr. Kong is amazing! He is very professional and goes out of his way to make you (the patient) and your family feel welcome. During treatment he explains everything he is about to do in detail. I came in with a chipped front tooth. I've had my teeth bonded several times before. Dr. Kong did a fantastic job. He matched the color perfectly. He blended his job in with my other tooth and my smile looks great. Hopefully I don't have another chipped tooth, but if I do then I will make another appointment here. Lastly, most dentist charge at least $350-$500 for bonding a single tooth. My bill out the door including the exam fee was $311. His office was the only office that when I called told me an estimate to get my tooth fixed, and they were priced very competitively. I'm a happy customer.

Used this office once two years ago and never went back because of the rude, disrespectful, and uncaring front desk employees that were less than helpful. Seems to be common practice at this location to be nasty with people in person and on the phone with no regard for anyone else's questions or concerns. Had to call and settle a payment issue two years later and received the same treatment. I would suggest taking your care needs elsewhere.

I was looking for new dentist in my area since I moved to winter park area earlier this year.. and I found "Prime Dental" for my regular check up.Dr. Kong was so kind and getle..even more, he took a good time to explain all of my teeth health. I felt so comfortable with Dr. Kong and took my 2 kids (7 & 5 yrs. old) to him.After their treatment, they came out with big smiles on their faces!! Love this dentist!!I recommend Prime Dental to anyone who wants to get a special care and treatment!

I used to be worried about drilling at my previous dentist but Dr. Kong has a way of putting patients at ease. My 8 year-old son also feels well cared for at this office.
