I am so fortunate to be an orthodontist. It really is the best job in the world. I get to work with a great team, and every day we create beautiful smiles for the nicest people our patients. The process that we go through together and the results we achieve, make it difficult to say goodbye when treatment is complete. It is truly a joy to provide beautiful smiles and see my patients grow and succeed in so many ways Dr. Ryan J. Cox
Dr. Ryan Cox truly loves orthodontics and made the decision to become an orthodontist at the age of 13! He even spent his high school and college years working for the orthodontist who straightened his own teeth. His drive and focus recently earned him a membership into the elite Schulman Study Group, which is reserved for the top 1% of orthodontists in the nation.
Directly out of residency at the age of 29, Dr. Cox became one of the youngest orthodontists to become Board Certified. Board Certification is an honor that only 25% of all orthodontists ever achieve and there are only two offices in Rome with this level of certification.
Shortly after joining our practice, Dr. Cox published two scholarly articles in orthodontic literature from his MRI research project in Ulm, Germany. With this achievement, he began providing continuing education courses for his peers, earning him a position as an Adjunct Faculty member at the UAB Hospital Department of Orthodontics. Over the past two years, Dr. Cox has had four patients selected to showcase their perfect smiles on the cover of the AJO-DO, which is the most prestigious Journal in Orthodontics. He has also been asked to lecture to orthodontists at the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Schulman Group meeting and the Impact 360 orthodontic meetings. In 2017, he was given the honor of becoming the president of the Georgia Damon Study Club.
Passionate about continuing education, Dr. Cox knows that only by furthering his knowledge and understanding of current orthodontic treatments, options, and techniques is he able to provide his patients with the best orthodontic care. He is a member of multiple study clubs, and he regularly attends orthodontic conferences and symposiums.
Raised in Alpharetta, GA, Dr. Cox now calls Rome his home. He and his wife, Amy, have a daughter, Addie Kate, and a son, Anderson. While his favorite times are those spent with his family, Dr. Cox also avidly pursues outdoor activities, including fly-fishing, hunting, playing golf, mountain biking at Berry College, and Georgia Football. Dr. Cox has been on seven dental mission trips to Mexico, Trinidad and Tabago, and Lima, Peru providing dental care and treatment to the underserved populations. He also provides free dental care at the Free Clinic of Rome for people in our community that cannot afford dental care. In 2014 he formed Smiles for a Lifetime in Northwest Georgia to provide free of charge orthodontic care to individuals living in poverty. He is also on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Georgia as well as the SAC of Northwest Georgia.
Orthodontist Ben Pridemore loves going to work! He loves the opportunity to meet incredible people and to make positive changes in their lives, which is rewarding and enjoyable. More than that, though, its fun! Thats why hes been a practicing orthodontist for more than 40-years; the satisfaction he gets from his work, the interactions with his patients, the friendships that go beyond the treatment process, all make for a wonderful work environment. Dr. Pridemore is particularly pleased that he is now providing orthodontic care for the children and grandchildren of his first patients; the fact that he is treating generations attests to his compassionate, gentle, and effective orthodontic treatments.

Additionally, he brings in outside consultants to teach the team about the latest treatment options and techniques, as well as offering yearly presentations to a local dental study club.
