Dr. Delores Pittman is detailed-oriented and strives to provide the highest level of care for her patients. She believes that personal attention, patient education and compassion are essential to building the solid doctor-patient relationship that is required to deliver the dental treatment needed to restore health, function, and confidence.
Born and raised in Washington, DC, she graduated from McKinley High School and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from Tuskegee Institute before attending Howard Universitys College of Dentistry.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, horsebackriding, white water rafting, and photography. It is her belief that People dont care how much you know, until they know how much you care. She looks forward to providing you with the highest quality dental care.
Dr. Delores Pittman understands that a beautiful, reliant smile is an essential confidence booster and necessary for good health. For 30 years, she has been dedicated to helping her patients overcome fear and other obstacles that stand in the way of obtaining a healthy smile. As an attentive listener, she will patiently answer any questions about her findings and recommendations. A thorough assessment ofyour dentition and excellent customer service are hallmarks of her practice, Pride Dental. We treat children and adults in a clean, comfortable, state-of-the-art facility. We are conveniently located near Bowie Town Center on Northview Drive.
Degrees/Education: Dr. Delores H. Pittman is a native Washingtonian and a McKinley Tech Trainer! She enjoyed four years of undergrad at Tuskegee University, earning a B.S. in Chemistry before graduating from Howard Universitys College of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She has completed advanced esthetic training at the Las Vegas Institute and regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current with the latest dental treatment protocols and technology.
Hobbies and Other Interests: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away. When away from the office, the adventurous Dr. Pittman enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors, horseback riding, hiking, white-water rafting, and snorkeling are her favorite pastimes. She is also an avid gardener and photographer.
Philosophy: People dont care how much you know until they know how much you care. At Pride Dental, we live by these words. We take time to cultivate solid patient-doctor relationships built on trust. Our greatest pleasure is to help our patients attain the goal of having a beautiful, healthy smile.
Community Involvement: Dr. Pittman has lived in Bowie for over 20 years and is a familiar face in local schools, businesses and churches. She has two adult children who attended Grace Christian School, Bishop McNamara, the University of Maryland, and Bowie State University. She regularly attends the Bowie Health Fair, Bowiefest, and the Back to School Bash. She is a member of the Bowie Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer mentor with the Bowie Teen Mentoring Program and a communion steward at her church.

It has been a long time since I had a cleaning due to the pandemic and surgery. But, Pride Dental eased all of my concerns with a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. Hats off to the entire team! My teeth and I thank you!

She's getting old, it's about time to retire, cataracts must be kicking in anytime you go for a routine cleaning then end up with a crooked tooth. Never Again!

I have to say "wow". I was impressed. Dr. Pittman took the time out to not only do a thorough job cleaning my teeth, she also explained and educated me so much about dental hygiene. I love and take care of my teeth and it is so hard to find people who feel the same way! Definitely 5 stars! Good staff and customer service. Very professional and little to no wait.
