Preston Center Pediatric Dentistry is located in Preston Center Pavilion in the heart of University Park. Our office strives to provide the highest quality pediatric dental care in a safe and positive environment. With a prevention and education center at our core, we hope to establish a lifelong commitment to optimal dental health.
Dr. John J. Riehs was born and raised in La Grange, Texas. He attended Oklahoma Christian University and played on a tennis scholarship from 1990-1994. During his collegiate tennis career, he was named NAIA All-American, as well as NAIA Academic All-American.
After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oklahoma Christian University, Dr. Riehs earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
After graduation, Dr. Riehs moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, where he practiced general dentistry as an associate in private practice. Five years later, he returned to his Texas roots and followed his passion for working with children. He pursued and received his postdoctoral certificate in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2007. After graduation, Dr. Riehs returned to Dallas to start his pediatric dental career and raise his children, Jacob and Hayden.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my hubby of 9 years, Miguel, and my fur babies, Bruno and Nino. I also enjoy volunteer work like teaching people about the bible, home dcor, and my favorites include Anthropologie, Oreo cookies, and Target of course!

Hi! My name is Khalida! I am the newest member here at Preston Center Pediatric Dentistry. I love being able to help kids have the best dental experience possible and enjoy tailoring each childs individual needs. Im currently a full-time student attending my last year at UT Arlington. I plan to learn from an amazing mentor Dr. Riehs in hopes of getting accepted into dental school! In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends, working out, dancing and cooking!

I have a precocious 2-year old...and by some magic, Jackie the hygienist managed to perfectly clean his teeth. He loved her! Really wonderful staff and a perfectly kid-friendly space. Highly recommend.

I can't explain how amazing this place is! My whole family goes here and they treat us all like family! When I sit in the dentist chair it's literally my therapy. I have never been to a dentist office that makes me feel as relaxed as everyone does at this facility! I definitely recommend this facility for any dental needs! They are absolutely amazing!

My 6 year old has been coming here since he was 2. He loves going to the dentist. The staff here is consistent, comforting, friendly and fun. They have given a great foundation for a child's first experience at the dentist. As a parent this place has been an easy place to bring my child. Thank you for making tooth hygiene cool.

Absolutely the best pediatric dentist office in Dallas! Dr. Riehs is remarkable! Every single person in the office is kind, compassionate, thorough and spends as much time with you as you need. The open space concept is welcoming to kids with Disney movies playing. There is seating for the parents to watch and be with your kid(s) while they are treated. Dr. Riehs walks you through everything with your child's dental health and makes sure you understand. He is so calm and gentle with kids that they are instantly at ease. My daughter loves going to the dentist because of how great Preston Center Pediatric Dentistry is! Highly recommend!!

This place is AMAZING! Dr. Riehs is so wonderful with children and a great dentist. Everyone who works there is so friendly and kind. My children love going! They always have a children's movie playing, toys in the front, and stuffed animals to comfort kids before their appointment. The place is fun with fun colors like pink and green, it is extremely clean, and in a great location.

Dr. John Riehs and his team are AMAZING!! I had to get a cavity filled, and was very nervous because I fainted at my last dentist when I got one filled a few years ago. They went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible, and kept me calm and comfortable through the whole process. Dr. Riehs does a great job explaining everything he's doing throughout the procedure. I'm so thankful to have a great dentist who really cares about his patients. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely the best care for children! We just took our youngest at (2 months) who was born with a neonatal tooth and they made it such a smooth and easy procedure for her. Dr. Reihs' patience and gentle care is incredible. The assistants passion for making sure your babies feel comfortable is amazing to see and the front desks knowledge with making sure we don't have to worry about any of our insurance doubts is the reason why we will always recommend Dr.Reihs to our friends and family!

My Little one has been going to PCPD since he was 6months old and he is now 3 1/2 each visit gets better. Dr. Riehs and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and most important very clean. I would highly recommend their services.
