Ive practiced orthodontics since 1995 and can honestly say I love my profession now more than ever. Even after creating so many amazing smiles for my hometown community, Im still excited to come to the office every morning. I look forward to the people Ill meet and spend time with, the conversations Ill have, and the puzzles each person will present.

I think of orthodontics as a chess match: each person is a new game, and I need to find the best moves (treatments) to get the best results in the most comfortable, efficient manner. This challenge keeps me excited and engaged!

Orthodontics is a unique specialty. We see our patients for several years during treatment, and during that time we see them regularly. I get to watch my patients grow during treatment, andthey see the change in their appearance. Each person becomes happier and more confident with their appearance, which causestheir self-esteem to grow as they feel better about themselves.

One of the most exciting things about orthodontics arethe constant advances in treatment options. Each year, researchers develop new techniques, materials, and technologies, eachwith the potential to improve patient care and results.

Throughout the year I take many continuing education courses, attend conferences, seminars, and lectures, participate in an orthodontic study club, and stay current on orthodontic journals. This enables me to learn about and carefully evaluate the latest options, determine which offer the best potential, and then incorporate those into the practice.

Im a Prescott native and was educated through the Prescott Unified School District. I have lived here for 50 years, minus my time in the Army and away at dental school,then completing my postgraduate orthodontic degree.

As a parent, much of my free time is spent attending and supporting my childrens various sporting events. They play football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and tennis! Over the years, Ive volunteered to coach many of their teams, including youth baseball, Little League, club baseball, and basketball.

Ive been part of the dental field since 1997 and found my professional home here in 2002. We have a great office and I love my coworkers (and the lunches we share!). As a treatment coordinator, theres not much I dont do: I meet with new patients and families, introduce them to the orthodontic process, and get them started on the path to a new smile.

In my free time, I enjoy being with my granddaughter, Baby B, as well as playing with my two dogs, buying unneeded items, and enjoying a night on the town. Ive been happily married to Boo for almost ten blessed years.

I really enjoy working with my teammatesas we support each other in order to help our patients achieve beautiful smiles. I am responsible for setting up financial contracts with our patients and their families, verifying insurance benefits, and handling the billing and practice accounting. I feel blessed to love my job. I not only enjoy working with numbers, but the doctor and staff are like a huge family to me. We all care about our patients and their happiness.

I love getting to know our patients and building relationships with them during treatment. Its amazing to see their self-confidence grow along with the change in their smiles! I assist Dr. Fenderson in all aspects of the treatment process and talk with patients about their progress. I enjoy working with Dr. Fenderson because hes a great team leader and treats his staff with respect. Were all friends here and work well together.

Ive been happily married for more than 14 years and our favorite hobby is traveling. We have been around the world and will continue on our journeys for as long as we can! We also recently added a new member to our family, Kirin, our new puppy.

Some of my favorite activities, when Im not at work, include kayaking, fishing, hiking, and scuba diving with my husband. I also love caring for my three rescue dogs and spending time with my six sisters.

I love building relationships with our patients during treatment and helping brighten the world, one perfect smile at a time! I assist Dr. Fenderson throughout the treatment process and make sure patients are comfortable and knowledgeable about their care. Its a good feeling to work in a fun environment, with coworkers who are close friends, and all of us united in our desire to keep our patients smiling.

I like seeing the evolution of changing smiles and observing confidence increasing in each patient. My job is simple: Dr. Fenderson creates a treatment plan and I work with him and my teammates to make it happen! Dr. Fenderson and the staff are my second family and I enjoy working at their side as we create great smiles for our patients.

When Im not at the office, I have a young son who is very rambunctious and keeps me busy! I love working as a make-up artist, too, and am currently a part-time student studying to become a dental hygienist. I love traveling near and far; also, I am Latina and Spanish was my first language.

I love interacting with our patients and their families. I like that each patient and their treatment is different, as that keeps me on my toes. Seeing confidence and growth in each patient is the most rewarding aspect of my job! I assist Dr. Fenderson throughout the treatment process and love being part of a team that feels like a family.

My boyfriend and I spend our time away from work traveling around the world. We enjoy the thrill of seeing different places and learning about other cultures. We are passionate about the outdoors, health and fitness and, most of all, our families: spending time with them comes first! I was born and raised in the Prescott area and cherish this small town.

I enjoy helping our patients gain confidence and like working with the crazy, fun staff every day! I work with the staff to carry out Dr. Fendersons treatment plan for each patient. In the lab I fabricate retainers and help Dr. Fenderson create various appliances. Im also in charge of keeping the staff on their toes!

I received my bachelors degree from Embry-Riddle in May 2017 and then applied to dental school. My internship here is valuable work experience that will help me better serve my patients when I become a dentist.

In my free time, I enjoy coaching volleyball for Northern Ace Volleyball Academy and training my new puppy, Penny. I like traveling with my boyfriend, love shopping, and my number-one hobby is eating candy!

I love interacting with nervous patients:calming them and showing how fun our office is. Braces are exciting and I love sharing that with our patients! My mother was an orthodontic assistant, and I grew up knowing I wanted to follow in her footsteps. I create the initial records and follow patients through treatment. I also assist Dr. Fenderson in creating retainers and the various appliances used to develop our patients great smiles!

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
