Dr. Preminger received his Bachelors degree from Yeshiva University in 2004 with a major in Biology. Dr. Preminger then went on to receive his dental degree from the highly prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2009. Immediately following his dental education, Dr. Preminger went on to complete a one-year intense hospital-based residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he received further training in general dentistry with an emphasis on the management of dental and facial trauma. He gained additional training in all aspects of Dentistry including adult, pediatric, and emergency dentistry. His passion for helping children continued with his pursuit of specialty training in the highly competitive Pediatric Dentistry program at Maimonides Medical Center and Kings County Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During this time he served as Chief Resident in Pediatric Dentistry and gained extensive clinical experience working with children and special needs patients. He is a board eligible pediatric dentist.
Part of Dr. Premingers Pediatric Dental training included treatment of special needs patients, pediatric medicine rotation, pediatric emergency room, and anesthesia. He received extensive training in various behavior management techniques.
Since completing his residency Dr. Preminger has been in private practice in the greater New York area. He teaches both General Practice and Pediatric Dental Residents once a week advanced treatment options in Pediatric Dentistry. He holds academic positions at North-Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, Long Island Jewish in New Hyde Park, NY, Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY, and Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Preminger is fully trained in full mouth dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia as well as sedation dentistry (NYS License #: 000723) with operating room privileges at Maimonides Medical Center, North-Shore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and Winthrop University Hospital.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), New York Dental Association (NYSDA), Nassau County Dental Association, NYS Academy of Pediatric Dentists (NYSAPD), and American Orthodontic Society (AOS).
Dr. Evan Cohen is a native New Yorker, born and raised in New York City. Dr. Cohen received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Stony Brook University and graduated with Cum Laude Degree Honors. After college, Dr. Cohen moved to Boston and completed his dental education at Boston University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. Dr. Cohen was inducted into the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon for his outstanding performance throughout his dental education. In addition, he was awarded the 2012 Academy of Osseointegration Implant Dentistry Award at Boston University.
Dr. Cohen then traded the coast for the mountains and moved to Denver where he completed specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. While completing his specialty training in Orthodontics, Dr. Cohen also earned his Master of Science Degree for his research in enamel demineralization and discoloration during orthodontic treatment.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, an American Board of Orthodontics Candidate, and is certified in BLS and CPR by the American Heart Association. Dr. Cohen is certified to provide Invisalign treatment for adults and teens, and his goal is for his patients, of all ages, to have positive and fun experiences at the orthodontist. In his free time he enjoys spending time with friends and family and going to the beach. Dr. Cohen grew up in Rockaway Beach and currently resides there with his fianc, whom he loves deeply even though she is a Red Sox fan!
Dr. Jason L. Joseph is a residency-trained, experienced, qualified dental anesthesiologist. He attended Boston Universitys Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where h graduated with honors and received an award by his professors for Excellence in Patient Management. After graduating Boston University he was accepted into a General Practice Residency Medical Track and Dental Anesthesiology Residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center, the only residency of its kind in the nation. During Dr. Josephs Anesthesia training at Stony Brook (the only level-one trauma center in Suffolk County), he took trauma call, provided anesthesia for transplants, urological, oral surgery, dental, ear-nose-throat, vascular, plastic surgery, orthopedic, neurosurgery, pediatric and adult general surgery. Dr. Josephs passion was to provide anesthesia care for Dental patients, because everyone is entitled to good oral health regardless of their history. Dr. Joseph is a member of the American Dental Association, American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and Nassau County Dental Society Member. Dr. Joseph understands this can be overwhelming, but with a personal discussion he can figure out a plan that works for you or your child.
