Dr. Jason Battle knows from personal experience the importance of a great smile. At 44years of age, Dr. Battle is a leading-edge certified specialist in both orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics who is known in Orlando for two things:delivering amazing smiles and grilling incredible barbeque.
Dr. Battle has been practicing orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in Florida since 2004 and has successfully treated thousands of patients. Having attended conferences worldwide, servedon the editorial board for an orthodontic journal, and participatedas a member of seven orthodontic study clubs, Dr. Battle stays up to date on the latest orthodontic research, studies, treatment, and technology including expertise in accelerated orthodontics and invisible orthodontics.
Dr. Battle received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He holds a certificate of advanced graduate studies with high honors in the specialtyof orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics, and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with honors from Valdosta State University while also serving as chapter executive director for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Dr. Battle enjoys volunteering his time to provide dentistry to those in need at the Orange County Dental Clinic and through the Smiles Change Lives Foundation. He visits local schools, day-care centers, and camps to teach proper brushing and nutrition as well as reading to students at local elementary schools. He also volunteers at Give Kids the World, a nonprofit village that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Dr. Battle was born in Michiganand raised in Cincinnati and Atlanta. An avid outdoorsman, his hobbies include participating in sports, cooking, traveling, grilling (specifically BBQ), and watching athletic events or documentaries. You can usually find him spending time with family and his two dogs.
Dr. Gittess believes education is a life-long endeavor. A precocious and a bright student, Gittess skipped two grades in school and entered college when he was 16. Adept with his hands, his hobbies have included sculpting and woodworking. After Gittess graduated from high school, the family moved to Coral Gables where he earned a degree in chemistry and philosophy at the age of 20 from the University of Miami.
Wanting to combine his talents and aptitude, Gittess decided on the field of dentistry. Dentistry gave me the opportunity to be scientific and also creative. He continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, becoming a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
After Gittess opened his private practice in Miami, he found that more and more of my free time was spent in the nearby orthodontic office. Thats when he decided to further his dental education and pursue orthodontics. Dr. Gittess attended the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia for three years to receive his certificate in orthodontics. When not devoting time to his practice, Gittess enjoys cycling, golf, cooking and travel.
Dr. Marco Pinto received his Bachelors of Science and Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degrees from the University of Kentucky. After nearly a decade in Kentucky, Dr. Pinto moved back to Florida and earned a certificate of graduate studies in Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopedics from Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics.
Dr. Pinto has been vice president of the American Lingual Orthodontic Association for the past five years. He has extensive experience in lingual orthodontics and aligners. He was clinical professor for 4 years in the orthodontic postgraduate program at the dental school in Arizona and has presented lectures as visiting professor for the orthodontic specialty program at the University of Texas-SanAntonio. Dr Pinto has been teaching orthodontics at national and international forums for the past 10 years.
Giving back to the community is incredibly important to Dr. Pinto. He has sponsored several comunity events and he is the founder of a nonprofit organization in Colombia that teaches English to kids from disadvantaged communities.
