My profession means the world to me. It motivates me and drives me to continue to reach higher and farther. I love getting up and going to work every morning because of all the great people I know I will come in contact with. The diversity of my patient base reminds me why this country is so great. There is so much to learn from people in terms of culture and experiences, and I wouldn't trade what I do for anything. Getting to know my patients is greatly fulfilling to me, and the most important reward I receive is seeing their joyful smiles at the end of their orthodontic journey.
I am passionate about helping people understand the benefits to orthodontic treatment besides just achieving a beautiful smile. While that is important, having straight teeth is also essential to proper function, health, and confidence.
Continuing education is especially important because it allows me to stay aware of the latest treatment techniques and determine whether or not it will have an application in my practice. I focus on providing the most efficient, effective treatments, such as the Damon System, and participate in focused training regarding that technology. My passion for staying up to date means my patients can expect to receive the highest quality and most advanced care in my office.
I am very fortunate to have come from a close-knit family, with everyone living within 30 minutes of one another. We are all avid sports fans and love spending time together. When I'm not at work, I'm usually watching movies or sports, exercising or reading. I also love to travel. My favorite non-work related activity is exploring new places; it is thrilling to try different foods and activities, and Im always up for an adventure.
I am dedicated to spreading the value of education by talking with and mentoring young people. I am involved in community health outreach programs as well as job fairs and youth education. I love having the opportunity to pass on what I have learned to someone else.

Before your treatment begins, our orthodontic assistants will educate you on the best ways to control plaque when you have braces and how to properly brush and floss around your appliances. They will then prepare your teeth for your braces through a detailed cleaning and polish. Our orthodontic assistants will also make sure your teeth are clean and healthy when you get your braces off, so you can show off your new smile with confidence. Very disappointing, inconvenient and unprofessional. This doctor keeps having his staff call me to change my scheduled appointment times. My child's appointment was changed twice within 2 weeks, 2 weeks!!! My appointments are usually in the afternoon being that I try to get the majority of my workday done before leaving work for the day...you know, being a professional. I keep getting a call from his staff saying that he has "an emergency" and needs to push my time up. It's more than likely that I am his last client and he wants to leave the office early so he tells his staff to tell me, "the doctor has an emergency and needs to change or CANCEL your appointment." I can't say that for sure, but that's just my thinking. But I was even told by his staff in one instance, that "I was his last client for the day". I tried to support black businesses. This is one that I have no problem NOT recommending. If my child wasn't already invested here, I would change. But being the single busy parent that I am, I don't have the luxury of just up and changing plans like that. Very disappointed at this continued unprofessionalism. If you're looking for stability in a black business. This isn't it.

My daughter has been going here for a few years now and Dr Gwafon did a wonderful job with her braces. He is very thorough and makes sure you understand the treatment process and how crucial it is to make sure you follow all instructions to the T. Appointments are pretty flexible and we never wait long to be seen.Usually in and out in less then 20-30 minutes. We go next week for semi annual retainer check.No problems here .

Dr is really polite and patient as well as the other staff... I've been going to this orthodontist for about 4 years, and it has been nothing but an amazing experience, just the other day I got my braces removed and I am obsessed with my new smile! Thank you, Premiere Orthodontics :))

Premiere Orthodontist went beyond my expectations! I'm very pleased with my results. I have the confidence to smile again. The staff is very friendly and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone that is in of a experienced orthodontist.

I went to Premiere and was looking forward to sufficient care, and quality service. Instead staff was rude and unpleasant at times. If I had questions or needed help,my calls weren't answered. If I came in person I was told to make arrangements and was seen with an attitude. Plus my teeth are not what I expected, I changed orthodontist

I got my braces off in 2013. My teeth are shifting. The retainer sucks. & they didn't recommend having both teeth pulled from each side like it should of been.

Staff at the door taking temperature today (4pm-5)was VERY unprofessional rude and if customer service is not her line of duty she should be in the back if this is our experience the next time around we will go somewhere else

This place is horrible! From the doctor, to the front desk staff. Everyone there is unprofessional, and the service provided is terrible. I was warned about the doctors shady financial practices, and went anyway because it was convenient at the time. Do not make the same mistake of spending your money here There is no need to discuss. I stand by my statement, just as the other poor reviews this place has received.
