Dr. Helen Hooper graduated Magna Cum Laude and with honors from UCLA School of Dentistry. While in dental school, she was elected into the prestigious dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She continued her education by completing a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Long Beach. Dr. Hooper has practiced both family and cosmetic dentistry since 1997. Dr. Hooper is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Western Los Angeles Dental Society, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Every year Dr. Hooper commits to learning about new materials, techniques and technologies to keep her knowledge and practice cutting edge.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hooper spends most of her time with her family. She loves spending time with her daughter, but Dr. Hooper also enjoys activities like riding bikes along the beach, paddle boarding in the marina, and spending time with her friends. At home, she likes trying new recipes and seems to always have some home project on the go. If she ever sits down for a rest, her cats will be found on her lap.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Newman attended the UCLA School of Dentistry where she earned her D.D.S. degree in 2001. While there, she was honored with membership into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Dr. Newman went on to complete a one-year residency program at UCLA, graduating from their Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.
As a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society, Dr. Newman has a reputation for excellence in her profession and the highest level of caring for her patients. Her goals for her patients are to feel comfortable and relaxed in the office, participate in all aspects of their dental care, achieve wellness, and maintain excellent dental health. Dr. Newman strives to be on the forefront of dental innovation and technology.
Dr. Newman is married with two children. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, writing, cooking (she is now a master chef when if comes to mac and cheese and spaghetti with meatballs!!), visiting every playground in L.A. with her kids, and staying eternally optimistic for her UCLA Bruins!
With over 25 years of experience, Liliana has dedicated her entire career to the dental field both in the back and front office. Her main focus is to ensure dentistry is a welcomed aspect of our patients health care, from the moment you enter the door until you leave with your dental needs fulfilled. Not only does she help our practice run smoothly and efficiently, she makes sure our team has everything they need to give our patients the best and safest experience.
Outside of dentistry, you can find her on a long bike ride along the coast, hiking, swimming, gardening, volunteering at animal shelters and with Heal the Bay, as well as challenging herself mentally, such as reading, brain teasers and practicing yoga. Liliana also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and her daily walks with her beloved furry daughter, Emmie.
Dr. Newman has been my dentist for about 8 years and even when I moved out of state I wouldn't see anyone else. She's amazing. The entire staff is kind, friendly, and always make me feel welcome and comfortable. I'll be a patient for life.

This practice is wonderful. I have never enjoyed the dentist- a bad childhood experience- but the hygienist I had (Joy) was great and Dr. Hooper is lovely. Shout out to India who manages the front!

I've been seeing Dr.hooper since 2010 and honestly I don't think I will ever be able to find any other dentist who's as honest and good as Dr.Hooper. We moved pretty far from her practice about three years ago but both my husband and I still come to see her every six months. It's so worthy it!

Dr Newman and Joanna remove all fears of visiting the dentist. They ALWAYS take the time to answer al my questions in a patient and friendly manner which makes me feel my care is their priority.

Outstanding service and accommodation. I called to have a cap put back on and they had me in the dental chair within an hour. What a relief as I was leaving for vacation the following day. Can't thank Dr Newman enough. Professional staff and very friendly

Dr. Newman and her staff are fabulous!! I had a cracked tooth and a temp put on. The procedure was painless. Her bedside manner was great and comforting. She walked me through everything before she did it. She decreased any anxiety I had. Highly recommend Dr Newman!!!

I can't say enough about this practice! Dr Hooper conducted the most thorough exam I've ever had. She explained why I was experiencing the issues I raised. She offered detailed treatment options and never did I feel like I was being "sold" on anything. I then had my teeth cleaned by one of the most gentle hygienists. I experienced no pain or discomfort- in fact, my level of comfort was a high priority. And finally, the ladies at the front desk were ready for me, having already dealt with my insurance, and prepared a detailed receipt understanding FSA requirements.

My appointment was for teeth cleaning. Premiere Dental serviced me promptly on time and cordially. The hygienist did a thorough job and with a high degree of professionalism. Importantly he was communicating step by step very clearly and politely. He listened to my concern and reported it to the dentist who took care of it during the process. Compared to previous dentist experiences, this is the best. I highly recommend Premiere Dental to everyone.

Dr. Newman is not qualified enough. She can calm down, but there will be no qualified help. You will pay for "nothing". Oh yeah, don't forget to take aliv pills every day until your stomach starts to thaw them out. Well, I don't know, if the children of doctors need help, probably only Aliv will help them? Well, in order to earn more money, she will refer you to her husband ...

Wonderful practice! Thoughtful, caring doctors and hygienists who actually listen and respond to their patients with empathy and a great storehouse of knowledge. The staff is so cheerful and welcoming and the office manager was the best! Working with me to arrange appointments and payments as conveniently as possible. Highly recommend!

I usually don't like to leave reviews until after I've had work done but I'll make an exception. Due to moving around a lot I've seen a number of dentists in the last three years and I've had a really hard experience with all of them. From one ruining all of my teeth and me having to spend $4k out of pocket to fix only one of his mistakes, to others saying I need a ton of root canals and I have gum disease; so when I came to Dr. Hooper for the exam I explained my history, my concerns, and my need for an honest dentist to help me on my journey to healthy teeth. She was beyond kind and understanding. Took the time to explain everything she saw and reassure me that I don't have all these horrible things wrong like others told me. It was amazing to finally meet a dentist that has amazing "bedside manner" and isn't driven by money and actually cares about you and your teeth. I look forward to working with her. She was recommended through my work and they've had a wonderful experience with her as well.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hooper's for many years now and wherever I move in the Los Angeles area I will always continue to go to Premiere Dental Group. I always feel safe and comfortable with the front desk staff and hygienists, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend both Dr. Newman and Dr. Hooper to anyone looking for a dentist.
