We had to change dental insurance, and I chose Dr Gilbert from Premier Dental. I read the Google reviews, and although everyone raved about Dr Gilbert, which I would agree, they said the office staff was not the easiest to get along with. Well, after talking to the staff and meeting them in person, that was an old set of staff that people didn't care for and left bad reviews on Google about. The current staff is WONDERFUL!!!! From Jennifer the office manager down to the receptionist, they were absolutely wonderful on the phone and in person. I highly recommend Dr Gilbert and his staff at Premier Dental!!

I found Dr. Gilbert through our Humana discount card and I am very happy with the care I recieved. He was able to take out my 2 upper molar, cracked metal fillings and do 3 receded gumline fillings to cover my dentin. He did all of this in 1 hour and 40 minutes! He is professional, focused and fast! I was afraid that the exchange of the fillings would crack my teeth as has been the case with my other 2 molars with other dentists, but my teeth have remained intact. I also had another filling done by Dr. G. The office and desk personnel is also very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert!

Be careful. They turn you into the collection agency and report you to credit agency without actually contacting you.

Told me my insurance denied my claim and sent me to collections. Called my insurance company and they said a claim was never submitted. Dr Gilbert's staff refused to submit the claim to my insurance however Dr Gilbert said to reach out to him if I ever need help. He did not help at all. This place is a bunch of con artists trying to make a quick buck. Stay away for your own good

I'm posting this on behalf of my parents who had a horrible experience with this business. My wife had dental surgery - tooth extraction done by Dr Knight on 12/13/19. We are both retirees who are dependent on our monthly Social Security checks. My complaint was that they didn't act in good faith in dealing with us. While at the waiting area of the office, I was told by the front desk staff that she needs $1,046.00 from me. I told her that it's quite a large amount for us so I went inside to have the procedure stopped only to be told that my wife was already "numbed." Isn't it customary and a standard procedure for a clinic to ask the customer - especially a senior citizen - if she is amenable to the amount before numbing her? My wife was not given that option. So I was forced to use my high-interest credit card to make the payment. But that's not the end of the story. Aside from the full payment of over a thousand dollars I made, our insurance company - Humana Dental Plan - paid them over $300.00 on 5/11/2020 which should have been sent to us. When my wife called them to send us that money, she was told to wait at least 2 weeks for a refund check. A month had passed and still no check. My wife called them today 6/12/2020 and a very rude staff member of this clinic didn't only give my wife a hard time, she hanged up on her. We intend to pursue this matter through the Illinois Attorney General Office and report the business practice of this dental clinic to the Better Business Bureau for their unfair business practice. While the cost of $1,000 won't impoverish us , it's just the way this clinic conducted itself that riled me. How unprofessional could its front desk staff member be by saying in a loud voice - in the presence of other customers in the waiting area - "I need money from you." She could just have called me and talked to me in a hushed tone at the counter. When I told her that the cost is too high and we'll just go to another clinic, I was told that my wife was already "numbed." In order words, they didn't tell my wife of the cost and asked her if she's amenable. They didn't give my wife an option to either accept or refuse. They numbed her outright so we have no other choice but to go along. It is their Modus Operandi. A dental clinic like this one should not be in business. A rejoinder from friends: "That's true, Don. They take advantage of people and that receptionist needs training in customer service. How tactless! That cost is too high. Besides, they're supposed to send you the bill after your insurance paid so you don't have to overpay as in your case. You have strong case Don. Also, report it to your insurance company so they they will take them out of your network. It happened to my brother-in-law. After his dentist did the extraction, he was offered a partial dentures which cost a lot. He declined their offer because he knew I had a friend who owns a dental lab and would only cost him 1/4 of what they want to charge him. Guess what? The dentist went ahead and billed the insurance company $1,500. And my brother-in-law only paid less than $400. to my friend for the same partials. Really, they scam people." "Good for you, Don. Please file a report. Some of them even submit a bill to your insurance company even without your authorization for additional job like partial or full dentures. Some of them are crooks." Don A

If I could give this place ZERO stars. They charge more than co pay. and they said that they fixed but still wrong. Please always get insurance breakdown and compare your invoice with what the insurance was billed. and what your co pay. You will see a big differece on the overcharge they bill to you. Two years still waiting my refund.

Billing and Corporate are a real pain to deal with and their accounting records are horrible. They didn't credit me for a payment and sent me to collections due to their error. DON'T GO HERE.

Very convenient. Friendly staff. Service is as I expect. Recently longer wait times than I prefer (15-30 minutes)

This is the best dentist office I've been to. Office staff is extremely helpful, very knowledgeable about different services and referrals. Dr Matthew McKnight deserves a 10 star rating. He has been so patience with me throughout my entire process. I would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone getting work done.

I had a 6:30 pm appointment this evening (even showed up 20 minutes early because they called and said I could come early.) The dental hygienist came out to get me but literally didn't even say anything to me at first. She just looked at me, heavily sighed, then finally mumbled my name. As she walked me back, she was drastically putting her head back as if I was keeping her awake, then in the exam room she KEPT LOOKING AT THE CLOCK! Look, your office schedules appointments at this time so don't take it out on the patient. After a long day, I too would like to be at home. I also have a job, and I don't want to always take a day off to come to the dentist. Bottom line, she made me feel like a huge burden. Also, the lady who seems in charge (older with bright blonde hair) gave me attitude and huffed and puffed when I told her I didn't receive a referral in the mail. She said, "well, it was sent, it says RIGHT HERE on your paperwork!" A week later I got a call saying they had my old address on file. Oops! No apologies. If I didn't like the actual dentist, I'd have left loooooooong ago. I recommend some customer service training.
