Dr. Ron Katyal was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics from Wright State University. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The Ohio State University in 2000. Following dental school, Dr. Katyal went back to Dayton to complete a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital.
Dr. Katyal has had additional training in dental anesthesia and is certified to perform I.V. sedation in the office. He also has taken extensive continuing education courses to stay current with modern techniques such as cosmetics, endodontics, implantology, and mini-implant placement. Areas of special interest for Dr. Katyal are oral surgery, including wisdom teeth removal.
Dr. Katyals patients rave not only about his expertise in Dental Care, but also about his character. Dr. Katyal takes care of the patients chief concern and is honest on whether or not patients actually need treatment. Dr. Katyals ability to sympathize with his patients needs is one of the many ways he stands out in his profession.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your trust and confidence in permitting me to take care of your dental needs through the years. As I felt the office needed more hours than I have been currently able to provide, it is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement from my practice of dentistry. Because I want to be certain that my patients continue to receive the best possible care, I have carefully evaluated a number of candidates.
Dr. Katyal, a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, comes to Dallas from the Columbus, Ohio area with over fifteen years of experience in providing dental care to the highest standard. As well as being very accomplished in cosmetic and restorative aspects of dentistry, he also has ADVANCED residency training from Miami Valley Hospital in oral surgery, implantology, IV sedation, endodontics and botox.
While his technical abilities are impressive, Dr. Katyal also believes in building a strong rapport with patients and is committed to their care and education. I have personally observed his compassion and believe that you also will come to appreciate his kindness, knowledge and his continual strive for excellence.
My staff will remain: Beverly, Aurora, Mona and Jenny; and they look forward to a continuing future with you and have the utmost confidence in Dr. Katyal continuing the transition, finish up treatment, and on an as needed basis as well.

I don't usually go through the hassle of writing reviews - ever - but, my visit went so well with Dr. K that I had to take a minute to let the masses know. I get pretty anxious going to the dentist generally. Walking into Dr. K's office I was taken aback by how inviting the atmosphere of his office felt. Especially with the sweet receptionist that greeted me at the counter (hi Nicole!). Tall ceilings & big open windows gave me a pleasant & comfortable view whilst getting my X-rays done. When Dr. K came in he asked me if I had any concerns about my teeth, to which I replied, "Yes! I'd been recommended by multiple doctors to get jaw surgery to fix my teeth and jaw issues." He calmly assured me that I had other options to try before I resort to jaw surgery, and for the first time I felt a huge weight off of my shoulders knowing that I had options to choose from. I then moved to the next room to meet Beverly, Dr. K's precious dental hygienist. We laughed and shared stories while she took very gentle & thorough care in cleaning my teeth. I was having such a great time I almost forgot what I was in the chair for. Thank you to Dr. K & his team, I genuinely look forward to my next dentist visit!

The BEST! I was terrified of dentists after experiencing a horrible one, but with Dr.K he's restored my faith. His office and staff are so nice and make you feel very comfortable. Dr.K is very knowledgeable, has been in the practice a while so he knows what he's doing, and he's conservative with treatments which I appreciate! I also appreciate the gentleness and care, whether it's getting cleanings or numbing shots for dental work I've noticed I don't have pain or soreness like I had experienced with other dentists and their staff in the past. I have since moved out of state, but still fly in to his office because I trust no one else - when you've found the best why look any further?? Oh and added bonus: he has TVs and cordless headphones so you can watch a show and not hear the drill sound, I love that. Five stars all around and I would recommend Dr.Katyal and his staff at Premier Smiles to anyone

This has been the best dental office I have visited. I always feel confident in the treatment care I am getting and I've never doubted any of Dr. Katyal's work. He always gives his professional opinion, but ensures I am comfortable in what he is suggesting. Greatly appreciate the staff and would highly recommend this office.

I always get a great Teeth Cleaning with De.Beverly and she is super profissional and kind. Dr. Ron is also a great professional and very attentive. The girls from the reception are always nice and kind as well. I went there many times and I will come back.

Dr. K and his staff are the most professional and caring dentist team I've ever seen. They take the time to explain whatever you're going through & how they're going to fix the problem; and then continuously follow up to make sure you're doing ok at home. Dr. K and his staff are friendly and professional! I have had a ton of dental work completed over the years and some of my experiences were traumatic. My bad experiences caused anxiety and I stopped getting regular checkups for a while. This dental visit was by far the best I've ever had and has restored my comfort level and confidence! I cannot recommend Dr. K and his team enough! They were so accommodating, kind, and gentle. I am very embarrassed about my teeth and they were incredibly comforting and nonjudgmental. I contacted the office looking for an emergency appointment and they found a way to fit me in and get me in and out of the office as quickly and painlessly as possible. I had to have a wisdom broken out and I felt NOTHING! I was able to return to work at a preschool just 2 hours later. The team is HILARIOUS, and Dr. K even contacted me to check in on me throughout the healing process (which was also incredibly smooth). Truly an amazing experience and I will be coming back for all my future dental work.

I was unsatisfied with the shape of my tooth when I got my veneer done on my front tooth. It was disappointing because I went to one of the top cosmetic dentists in my area. Any dentist will tell you a veneer on a single front tooth is a tough job. Dr Ron Katyal went above and beyond spending time with me consulting and understanding my vision of what I wanted. He could see exactly what I was unhappy with and fixed it to my liking. The truth is many other dentists (Including the one I went to) can't see what he sees. If you're looking for someone who's patient, kind, understanding, empathetic, and meticulous, then this is the dentist I would go to. He works with you to ask you what you're seeing, and explains what he's seeing to make sure you're on the same page. I will never make the mistake of going to another cosmetic dentist again. Thank you for all your countless hours of help and improving my smile!

Very nice Doctor, I had my wisdom teeth surgery a week ago in Ohio and had some problems and my mother had questions and he had the answers for her and even called me to make sure I'm doing everything I need. A Doctor that's miles and miles away still helps from a phone call away. Very helpful and nice Dr. p.s He was my dentist years ago in Ohio. Thank you Dr.K and Merry Christmas.

Dr. Katyal and his wonderful staff made my teeth cleaning and replacement of a veneer such a pleasant experience! From start to finish, their friendly disposition, professionalism and desire for my comfort level was very impressive. Dr. Katyal is a perfectionist as well and I appreciate that, especially since matching the color and shape of one of my veneers in the very front of my smile was done to absolute perfection! I'm not a big fan of dentists. It was time for my regular exam, and I was nervous going in for the first time to Premier Smiles. After seeing the protocols for safety, and interacting w the friendly staff, I didn't worry at all. Dr Katyal did a great job explaining everything along the way. Will be back!
