A Charlotte resident for the past 3 years, Dr. Jean was born in Boston but spent the first 10 years of his childhood in Haiti before settling in Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Florida and continued to Howard University where he completed a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).. Following dental school, Dr. Jean completed an intensive residency program at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, where he gained advanced training in implant restoration, root canals, extractions and more. At Premier Smiles, Dr. Jean looks forward to combining all of his training and expertise in order to care for your every dental and oral health care needs.
Outside of the office, Dr. Jean enjoys staying active and works out regularly. An avid traveler, he has a goal to visit a new country each year and spends time traveling to visit family and friends whenever he can. Recent travels has taken him to Canada, Barbados and Colombia. Dr. Jean also likes to volunteer and give back. He is currently a Big Brother with the Big Brother Big Sister Program and has participated in 6 dental service trips to Haiti over the last few years.

My experience with this dentists, Dr. Jean was terrible. His staff was great! Find a better, more empathetic dentist! I'll never return, or refer!

This place is the worse they were so unorganized and all over the place. They are not consistent with the information they give it and then dont want to give you your money back that they owe you. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for a response or my check and I have heard nothing.

I came across Premier Smiles by searching for a dentist closest to my job. I have had 4 visits so far with Dr. Jean, his lovely and sweet dental hygienist Hellen A, and the service has been good. Ms. Hellen takes her time and provides good instructions for continuous care. The front office staff provides great customer interaction. Communication is good. Waiting area is cozy and quaint. Background music is on point. Clinic is clean. I do recommend this practice.

Upon arrival I was welcomed as the person at the front desk were pleasant,I was on time for my appointment and was attended to upon entering, everything was explained to me and I was given options,I choose my best option and dealt with according the ambiance and atmosphere was pleasant I would recommend to visit Premier Smiles of Charlotte can't wait for my next appointment which is due in a months time

All of the employees at this practice are incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. I stepped in, the receptionist is very happy and fun to talk to, and things only got better from there. They explained my options to me clearly and directly, they were very patient with me being new to their practice and the cleaning that I got was excellent. Excellent. I'm happy to have found my new dentist so close to where I live. Would definitely recommend this practice to anyone else.

Let me just say I was ABSOLUTELY terrified to get two extractions.Dr Jean and his staff made me feel so comfortable and welcomed, it was great vibes and great music and I didn't feel a thing ! I would definitely recommend this office .

Unfortunately, my personal experiences here have left me extremely upset. Over a year and a half ago I got check-ups here which they did X-rays, cleaning and fillings. I've been to this location before a few times and never had any issues, but when I came back they noted they had new staff and dentist. When I had a check-up they stated new X-rays needed to be done as their company had been taken over by new management/dentist, which was fine. The staff was somewhat pleasant; I have to note that my hygienist was extremely sweet and helpful. As far as my plan of care and billing--it was a complete mess. When I needed fillings done, It was unclear how many needed to be done until it was time of procedure which left me feeling completely in the dark. Did not know what the cost was either until after the work was already done on my teeth. No upfront costs on anything except for once, as I had multiple appointments there. I had a recurrent problem with one filling, luckily Dr. Jean was very helpful and professional about getting me back in and following up with me over the phone. One huge issue I have is that I recently received a bill in the mail for almost $1k. I got a complete run-around with the billing department. Staff saying to call a number, nobody answers that number, left messages, no responses back. Finally I call the office back and they give me an email this time, the email says it is not valid when I tried, so I called back to confirm the email. They stated they would just look it up while I was on the phone. When she reviewed it, she stated the bill was for the teeth X-rays that were denied by my insurance. I was never once told this before. Usually, a good dentistry will tell you if insurance denies or doesn't cover costs. I was at the office multiple times after my X-ray and not one word was spoken about that. I also asked why this was the first time I have been billed a statement for this when my appointments were over 1.5 years ago and I was told I've had multiple statements sent to me. I asked them to confirm my house address because I haven't received any until this one now. She stated the correct address. No idea how or why I hadn't received any until now. I am baffled learning about this and not receiving the statements to show for it until a month ago. Upset is an understatement.

FRAUD. CROOKS. THIEVES. Premier Smiles of Charlotte NC! This Dentist office is crooked and thieving, and may this message reaching to any and all who might desire to do business with them. I'm writing on behalf of their recent client, Torey Davis, my younger brother who sought them for help for his teeth. They offered him a medical discount plan for a procedure, he paid 3-Months of advanced payment on the discount plan (Adult Perio Plus).| Said client, however, did not undergo any medical procedure with Premier Smiles, and elected to opt out due to the plan itself being financially outrageous, and lacking cost-worthy medical coverage for the price it sells for. Now the plan had a 30-day Guaranteed Money Back Refund Policy, and he cancelled it before the 30-day contract was up! Therefore he is in his rights to having returned the refund of the money he had invested - The 3-Months Advanced Payments. ( )| They had since made no legal effort in legally returning his money back to him. They have refused on all accounts. They have no returned phone calls and direct emails multiple times! Latasha The Office Manager has made effort in resolving this legal matter, and no associate or worker of customer service have answered us nor helped us!! No messages, no callbacks, any calls we make are either dodged or ignored. NOTHING. THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR WORD. THEY DO NOT KEEP THE LEGAL POLICIES OF THEIR CONTRACTS. THEY DON'T STAND BY THEIR GARUNTEE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They are not to be trusted, they will FRAUD YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY.

Went to have my teeth cleaned. Haven't had them cleaned in two years, dental place is not My favorite place to go. However, when I got there, the front desk was very receptive and calming. I think my hygienist was Helen and she was very thorough. Only going on experiences with other offices where I had my cleaning. At the other offices, the hygienists just took about 15 or 20 minutes, and didn't feel like they were really cleaning anything. However, The dental hygienist, Helen, seem to pay attention to every tooth I had to clean it. Teeth feel smooth as silk! Doctor came in to look at my teeth, seemed very nice and answered the questions I had. When I left, I drove by a Burger King on my way home, I was tempted to have that whopper, but I held off because I wanted to have that clean feeling. Definitely going back.
