Dr. Shirk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and then his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2015 from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. While at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Shirk earned the Quintessence Award for Clinical Academic Achievement in restorative dentistry in recognition of his mastery in direct restorations.In his pursuit of continuous and never-ending improvement, Dr. Shirk has completed hundreds of hours of continuing dental education courses.
Dr. Shirk brings valuable surgical experience to Premier Smiles after being an associate doctor at a nationally known dental implant training institute, where he learned advanced surgical and prosthetic techniques for full mouth rehabilitation while minimizing the discomfort and fear often associated with dentistry. Dr. Shirk is also a trained and certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Shirk is an active member in the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Shirks mission is to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care by focusing on each patients long-term oral and overall health.He is also focused on reducing the stress and fear associated with dentistry by creating a friendly doctor-patient relationship built on trust. He strongly believes that every patient should be treated with the same respect and empathy that he would provide to his own family. Dr. Shirk strives for patient autonomy and values educating patients in a way that they can make the best decisions to fulfill their own individual dental wants and needs.
In his free time, Dr. Shirk is very active in recreational sports and outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and riding motorcycles. Dr. Shirk has always loved completing hands-on DIY projects, especially in carpentry. He is also an avid traveler, always looking forward to the next adventure experiencing new sights and cultures.
Katie has enjoyed developing relationships with patients over the last several years. She is passionate about helping patients maximize their insurance benefits so they can obtain excellent oral health. She loves spending spare time with her husband, Matthew, and two-year-old daughter, Anna Rose. You can also catch her teaching cycle classes at the YMCA, hiking, reading, and watching USC football.
Sheryl has worked in dentistry for over 30 years as both an assistant and front office coordinator. She moved to South Carolina 15 years ago. During her time off, she likes to spend time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her hobbies include traveling and volunteering with her church.
Kim is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC. She has been in dentistry for over 30 years as both an assistant and hygienist. Prior to moving back to Myrtle Beach, she worked for Dr. Raad as an assistant. She enjoys getting to know each patient and finds that conversation helps ease patients anxieties. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her two daughters, going to the beach, and exercising.
Shawna has been a dental assistant for 8 years. She recently moved here from Indiana with her wonderful husband, Richard, and two lovely dogs. She enjoys taking her dogs on daily walks and hiking. She and her husband love to travel and explore new adventures together. She loves spending time with family and cant wait to start one of her own. She finds it very satisfying to help give a patient a new smile.
Joley has been in dentistry for over 20 years and loves helping people reach the dental goal they are looking to achieve. She has lived in Rock Hill all of her life. She has two wonderful children, and when she is not working she loves to work in her yard and ride horses.

This was my 1st visit and OMG it was FANTASTIC!!! Everyone is so NICE and FRIENDLY. Most Dental Offices make me super nervous. But not Premier I was very comfortable and relaxed. BROOKE took really good care of me and my Dentist just as . I'm absolutely going back to have some work done. THANK YOU

Although I miss Dr. Raad, I still love this dentist office! The receptionist are so sweet and cheerful. Brooke is the best, I always leave with my teeth feeling so clean and smooth and I never bleed or have any soreness after she gives me the perfect cleaning.

As crazy as it might sound, you'll be excited for your next visit! All the staff is very welcoming without a frown in sight. Personable and old-school family feeling that isn't as common as it used to be. I hate to point the finger but Brooke is my absolute favorite; she'll keep you smiling while keeping your smile white and bright!!!
