Premier Smiles has been caring for the families of Corpus Christi for over 24 years. In July 2017, Dr. Ikenna Okafor took over the office and is committed to the same standard of dental excellence performed in a soothing atmosphere.
Dr. Okafor started primarily as a general dentist and has grown to become one of Corpus Christis predominate cosmetic and restorative dentists, with hundreds of dental implant procedures under his belt.
When he is not at Premier Smiles, Dr. Okafor is active volunteering at local elementary schools educating kids on the importance of oral hygiene. He also travels all over the world volunteering at dental clinics in impoverished countries.
Such a friendly and accommodating staff in an upbeat office environment. They make you feel right at home and work effortlessly to accommodate your schedule. Most of all they provide quality dental work that I would highly recommend.
I had a broken tooth that needed to be pulled...FAST! It was extremely painful. I called, set an appt and was seen the same day. Everyone was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very comforting. Since then they have followed up with and made sure I was healing well. They are wonderful!!

Dr Okafor and his staff are outstanding. The entire staff from the front office, to his dental assistants. Dr. 'O' is a fabulous dentist. From fillings to crowns or what ever you need. He really cares about his patients and he is an artist when it comes to teeth.
This was my first visit to Premier Smiles and so I felt apprehensive. However, I was put at ease by the professional treatment I received from the staff. I especially appreciated the time Dr. Okafor spent explaining the proposed procedure and answering my questions.
We know that the first visit to any doctors office can be intimidating. We want your time with us to be as comfortable as possible. Here is what you can expect during your initial visit to Premier Smiles.
During your first visit, our team will get to know you by asking some questions about your medical and oral health history. Be sure to bring a list of any medications you may be taking and their dosages. Please include all vitamins and over-the-counter supplements.
Next, we will perform a comprehensive oral exam that may include x-rays and a non-invasive oral cancer screening. If no signs of periodontal disease are present, you will have a routine cleaning. If we notice signs of periodontal disease, we may reschedule the cleaning portion of your visit to allow for more time.
We want to help you receive the dental care you deserve. We discuss all cost and payment options with you to make sure you are comfortable with your treatment plan and to answer any questions you have prior to the start treatment. You will never have surprises when it comes to your bill.
After much thought and consideration, we have decided to become an unrestricted/out-of-network provider with Delta Dental.What does this mean for you? The good news is you can still be a patient and use your insurance benefits in our office. We work with Delta Dental every day and will continue to bill them for services provided to you. We will strive to help you maximize your dental benefits as much as possible.

10 of 10 recommend! Dr. O and his staff are so friendly and helpful. Made sure I was comfortable, understood what the care plan was and why, and recovery was a breeze. Very pleasant experience and will be back for future needs.

I would definitely recommend this dental office to anyone! I've been 3 times and each time was perfect. Dr. O and all his staff are super friendly and they make you feel comfortable. They even offered a blanket and a pillow because I was cold. Thanks again Dr. O and to all your staff as well. 10 stars all the way!

Everyone there are very nice. They are eager to help. Went in for my first cleaning. The doctor was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. The hygienist got to work on my teeth and was thorough in the cleaning. They take their job seriously

Dr. Okefor is an incredibly talented dentist. He is fast, patient, and extraordinarily kind. His staff is awesome. From the outstanding Marilyn who keeps my appointments straight to the hygienist, to his dental assistant. This is a great dentistry group!

If I could give zero stars, I would. How dare you mess up my teeth? I saw you six months ago, and you recommended that I get a filling on tooth number nine. I had been having temperature and pressure sensitivity since then, and now I have been told that I need a root canal on the same tooth because of how poorly my previous dentist filled in my teeth. When you placed the filling, you damaged my nerve and now I am dependent on round the clock ibuprofen to keep the pain at bay. Shame on you! I am going to warn every patient I come across to never go to you for any dental procedures.

A high dollar endodontist made me lose hope, that I would not be able to keep my 6 teeth that were traumatized through a fall but Dr. Okafor gave me such emotional relief when he told me that I do not have to pull all these teeth that at the present time seem sound. I'm all about preventative care and relieved. The Lord has been showing me recently that we can't believe everything "THEY SAY;" only He knows the truth!

Dr. O and his staff continue to deliver outstanding, caring, and friendly service! Let's face it, no one really wants to go to the dentist, especially for cavities, root canals and such. But Dr. O has successfully established a practice that minimizes the pain. Highly recommend. And I speak with direct experience of just finishing a process a couple of implants. It has worked out well, just as promised. And again, Dental Assistant Alyssa continues to provide friendly and gentle care alongside Dr. O

This is my second visit to this dentist. And I absolutely love it! They really care and take the anxiety away. Very helpful staff! Love love love them! From the time you step in to the time you leave your smiling and comfortable and that's how every dentist visit should be! Would leave 10 stars of possible!

I used to have such anxiety about visiting a dental office. Never knew what to expect. Things are different now. I have been going to Premier Smiles for a while now. Everyone is always very friendly and professional. The staff knows me and is always ready when I arrive. I appreciate that. I trust Doc Okafor , he genuinely cares about me. I think he's great.
