I grew up here in Southern California. I earned a bachelors degree in biological sciences from UC Irvine in 1984. In 1988, I earned my doctoral degree in dental sciences at UCLA. I went on to earn my certificate in the specialty of orthodontics from the University of Connecticut in 1990.
In 1993, I opened my private practice in Oxnard, California. The practice became known as Custom Smiles Orthodontics. In 2011, I partnered with Dr. Thomas Lee, a good friend, to form Premier Orthodontics. I now have an office in Carpinteria as well, so we can serve communities from Goleta and Santa Barbara, Ojai, and Ventura to Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Camarillo, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Newbury Park, and surrounding areas. I am a huge believer in continuing education. I am a perpetual student and spend hundreds of hours each year learning about new procedures and incorporating them into my practice. Many dentists and other specialists refer patients to me because of my expertise in the use of two new technologies: Invisalign and SureSmile. I am Ventura Countys most experienced Invisalign orthodontist. I have have successfully treated more than 1,500 Invisalign cases.
Because of my experience with Invisalign, I was featured for five years in Invisaligns first nationwide television advertising campaign. We are also the areas leading experts in the use of SureSmile, the robotic wire-bending software that enables us to treat our patients with better results in less time than traditional braces.
I regularly lecture to general dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and students at our local colleges. I am a member of the Super Schulman Study Group, an elite group of the nations most successful orthodontists who openly share their knowledge and expertise with fellow members.
I am married with four kids and live in Camarillo. I spend most weekends at the soccer field or the volleyball courts with my daughters. In my free time, I also enjoy scuba diving for lobster, fishing, camping, fixing things, and motorcycle riding. I have a great surfboard collection, but Im not too good at surfing yet. I am also a committed fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the UCLA Bruins, and the L.A. Lakers.

Hi name is john had a daughter that went in for braces, didnt know if we were goin to need them or not.. We ended up getting them and they help was very fast and people were very good.. Jimena Anguiano went above and beyond for my daughter and for me as well she pulled couple strings for me and made it where we were able to pay comfortable prices for the great work that will be done.. Jimenes was so nice and professional she brings a very kind and caring atmosphere. She works with you amd is very detailed in explaining things. I'd recommend anyone who needs braces that think they can't afford it please i promise you , it'll be the best experience youve ever had. Visit them and let them help you out. Monthly plans that fit any budget.

Premier Orthodontics is a scam. My teeth were always crooked, had gaps, or sticking out. Tried getting better results using braces(additional money)which resulted in an orthodontist changing my wire the last minute to be crooked. I reported the incident and Switched back to Invisalign which resulted in the next orthodontist purposely giving me a GAP and then said I had to pay more to fix it. I originally paid the most expensive plan which covered 5 years. I was livid by the they did not honor the contract and did not refund me for the retainers I never received because I decided they would not get another penny from to fix their unethical intention. In the process of getting all the notes, their staff mistakenly sent me the photoshopped copy of my signatures on different pages in color versus the black and white copy they had sent me prior and had wrong information from their acts of forgery. Company is guilty of forgery, breaking contract for more money, a chipped tooth from the negligence of care from braces. Do not go here. The owner could care less about you. And based off of other reviews on here, they have tried to scam others for additional money based off their contracts as well.

Staff was very friendly and fast. We were in and out of there very quick with 3 kids starting braces. Staff explained everything in detail and worked with us financially. Very happy.

I love Dr Sue. She was awesome with my daughter and we just finished our phase 1 treatment and we are just starting on phase 2. Jimena, the financial coordinator was so helpful and she found money from the insurance that I did NOT expect and it saved me so much!!

My kids & I are all seen at the Yuba City office. The staff is always very friendly & helpful. Our most recent visit we were seen by Nadia & she was wonderful! Highly recommend this office for children or adults!

I absolutely LOVE Premier Orthodontics! The entire staff is sweet, kind, caring and they make you feel at home. The vibe is amazing! I also love that your concerns are their top priority, if there's something about your smile that bothers they work extremely hard to help you accomplish your goal. The check in and check out process is amazing as well, I love that they offer text, call and card options for appointment reminders. It's super helpful!
