Dr. Alvaro Rodriguez obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the IOM Institute in Mexico in 1998. He later completed a postgraduate endodontics specialty program from the UAT University and obtained a Certificate in Endodontics in 2001. He then practiced for 16 years as an endodontist before completing a second postgraduate endodontics specialty program at Case Western Reserve University. In 2019 he earned a Certificate in Endodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree.
The endodontic residency at Case Western allowed Dr. Rodriguez to receive additional training and focus on non-surgical retreatments and endodontic periapical surgery. Dr. Rodriguez is currently a board-eligible endodontist and is pursuing his goal to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Rodriguez completed research during his Masters of Science in Dentistry degree program. His research focused on periapical surgery preparations, retrofilling materials, and the use of CBCT imaging to evaluate the quality of retrofilling placement and density. His thesis titled, Comparison of Void Areas after Filling Retrograde Preparations with Two Different Depths (3mm and 6mm) Using Three Different Filling Materials. Evaluation by Cone Beam Computer Tomography has already been accepted for publication at Case Western Reserve University and Dr. Rodriguez is actively finishing his manuscript for submission for acceptance for publication from the Journal of Endodontics.

I went in with a great deal of pain and luckily they were able to help me right away. I needed a root canal. They were great and Dr. Rodriguez was terrific. He saved my tooth. When I went back in for a follow-up the assistant even remembered I liked a blanket and the calming music on their TV. It was a serious infection, a lot of pain but I am so glad I was in their care for they really cared about my condition. I am not a fan of mouth docs but this was a great one. Glad I was sent to him.

Dr Rodriquez was amazing!! Gentle hands & calming. His assistant Marisol was very knowledgeable & educated me on procedure. The front desk clerk (I believe her name was Melinda or Miranda) was pleasant & went over billing with exceptional detail. A great group with professional mannerisms from the moment you walk into the office. Your compassion was appreciated!! Thank you!! Dr.Rodriguez and the staff at Premier were extremely helpful during my appointment. The kind women in the front helped me figure out how to finance my procedure and made the whole process from start to finish painless and smooth. Dr. Rodriguez and the rest of the staff that assisted in my procedure were gentle when working on my teeth and kind enough to talk me through every step of the appointment.

Paid out of pocket for unnecessary medical procedures. The CBCT Scan cost me more than having the root canal itself. Also pulp vitality test -- not medically necessary, but they make you sign a form so you can't dispute when insurance won't pay up. Don't let this place gyp you into doing things that are beyond medical necessity. They unfortunately want to make money any way they can.

Fantastic service, from the minute I walked in. The Staff at Premier is very courteous and friendly, and Dr. Rodriguez was amazing! I had pain first day, but didn't have to take pain meds after. I highly recommend Premier Endodontics!

Had over 2 hours of "wait time" along with several tests done, although within network not once did they specify that any of these "standard" tests were not covered by insurance. Out of a $5,200+ fee for what I needed my procedure my insurance and I were able to pay $4k right there abs there and try to come up with the remainder $1,200 within the next month. I was belittled, unwilling to help, already riddled with anxietyDr never came back and explained I could have one of the 5 procedures done. Worse bedside manner ever! Do not recommend, lack of professionalism. Unwillingness to clarify, and talk to me they had me sit in a room calling 1800 numbers.... what's worse is that not only was I in physical pain but emotional, husband lost a day of work and they would rather lose $4k that they would get TODAY, then to treat a patient, listen to her and clarify things to her. Never has I ever been mistreated like that. UPDATE: THE AUDACITY of the staff to call me back to argue or rebuttal about MY review ((which thankfully I recorded)) is beyond!!! You value your 5 star rating and willing to argue with a patient to try to give me your side of the story when I wasn't given the time of day to speak to me for the 2+hours I wasted there, Not to rectify, to clarify, not to assist, but rather ARGUE! 2 entire hours after they closed. WOW, their lack of professional ethics is at another level. If only they cared about their patients in emergency situations as much as they cared about MY REVIEW.

I was referred to Dr. Rodriguez; while driving an hour for a root canal seemed excessive it was well worth it. Many people blessed me and said "good luck" when I mentioned needing a root canal, and believe me I was worried and scared... they were all wrong. Dr. Rodriguez has the gentlest hands, and he and his staff are experts in their profession. Their level of care definitely made me feel safe and in the best of hands. I'm pain free and looking forward to the next one. Highly recommend Premier Endodontics for your dental needs.
