As a professional dentist, Dr. Shapiro began his post doctorate training soon after beginning his professional career. He became very proficient at most phases of dentistry. Later in his career, he was very fortunate to begin training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute. Having completed the entire core curriculum, he was able to start changing people's lives who suffered from debilitating headaches and TMJ dysfunction using the science and principals of neuromuscular dentistry. He then trained at the Misch Institute for implant dentistry where he received his Fellowship. This led to further development in his skills for both hard and soft tissue grafting along with the technology and implementation of cone beam guided surgery for implants. His skills allow him to take care of most patients' dental needs and give them the quality of life they deserve. His education journey has been very gratifying and one that he hopes to continue. Dr. Shapiro is also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Charlotte Dental Society,International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics and a Fellow of the Misch Institute and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shapiro volunteers at his daughters' schools for classroom and non-classroom activities. He also enjoys bicycling, scuba diving, photography, aviation and piloting (he holds an instrument multi-engine rating).

My husband and I recently moved an hour away from Premier dentistry of Blythewood , but for us it's still worth the drive going there because of dr. Shapiro and the rest of the staff and how nice they are and very helpful.

. I had a little anxiety about going to the dentist because of past experiences at other offices. But when I arrived at Premier Dentistry of Blythewood the staff was very courteous and friendly. My dental hygienist, Leah, was awesome! She explained everything she was doing and made me feel really comfortable and change my perspective about visits to the dentist to a positive one. Treated with special care and care for my health is first from the Dentist and the periodontist Offices are so clean and sterile looking. I love this place. Danielle, made the treatment relaxing and enjoyable. Danielle, went above her skills to ensure my smile was shiny & bright and to correct other issues in the future and explained detailed information Dr. Shapiro, concerns for my braces was so sincere.

As the result of periodontal gum disease, a lower front tooth came out on its own and several more needed to be extracted. The gap left in my smile by the missing tooth was very noticeable and was quite frankly embarrassing to me. Dr. Shapiro explained what options I would have and we agreed to doing a lower front bridge. We started the process right away. During the months that followed, Dr. Shapiro and his dental assistants installed two temporary bridges and were careful not to fit the permanent bridge until the swelling had subsided. While the extractions and drilling were not fun, Dr. Shapiro made these steps as painless as possible. I am delighted with the end result.

I brought my book in prepared to catch up on some reading while I waited to be seen. However, I was immediately and warmly greeted upon arrival and quickly called back for service. Leah was absolutely amazing and the experience from beginning to end was great! My experience was hands down a10 out of 10!

They do a great job cleaning your teeth and a great job with dental crowns. Excellent temporary crowns, Dental Hygienist Towanda is the best I've ever had work on my teeth, she deserves a raise!

Emily did a great job with cleaning my teeth! Doctor Shaperio was nice as well as the front office staff. They also have a play area to keep the kids busy if you happen to be bringing them in for a visit. Thumbs up from me. Update 12-20-21 I continue to get great service here. I now take my children who are 5 and 6 and they love it. Emily and all the staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. It's now a three up for me! 8-9-22 Another Update This was another great cleaning day for me. How often can you can your teeth clean and it doesn't hurt? Well, Danielle did that for me today. She is sooo awesome. Friendly, professional and all around just pleasant. The service I receive keeps me coming back.

I have been going here for about 3 years and I love Danielle, the hygienist who cleans my teeth. She's such a sweetheart and talks to me which makes the time go by quickly. She is also good about telling me what she is going to do and is professional. Today was just a routine cleaning and I was walking out in 40 minutes!

Had a very positive experience at Premier Dentistry of Blythewood! I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years and was very nervous about going back. Everyone I interacted with was extremely kind. I saw Dr. Edwards who was helping cover for Dr. Shapiro. He did an excellent job and made me feel at ease. I left the office looking forward to my next appointment and getting back on track.
