Dr. Parra obtained her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the internationally recognized University Santo Tomas of Bucaramanga, Colombia in 2003. After relocating to the United States in 2003, Dr. Parra earned a specialty certificate in Prosthodontics from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2010. She has her Masters in Prosthodontics and also a fellowship certificate in Surgical and Advanced Implant Dentistry from the University of Florida School of Dental Medicine from 2010 to 2012.
Dr. Parra maintained a full time academic commitment as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Florida, College of Dental Medicine, teaching in the post graduate resident specialty program in Prosthodontics from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Parra is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Prosthodontic Association, Florida Dental Association and the Alachua County Dental Association.
Currently, Dr. Parra is president of Premier Dental Team, practicing as a Prosthodontist, specializing in the replacement of missing tooth structures with veneers, crowns, implants and dental prosthesis. In addition to private practice, Dr. Parra also co-authored textbook chapters and holds a faculty position as a courtesy Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences Graduate Prosthodontics at the University of Florida.
Dr. Craighead is currently the only dual specialist in Periodontics and Prosthodontics in the State of Florida, and one of just a handful of specialists in the entire world with certificates in both specialties. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Florida in 2004 and his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2008 from Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
Immediately following graduation, Dr. Craighead completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He was granted the Excellence Award for best exemplifying excellence in character and clinical proficiency in 2009.
Dr. Craighead earned specialty certificates in Periodontics and Prosthodontics as well as a fellowship certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Florida College of Dental Medicine in Gainesville, Florida from 2009 to 2015. He also has his Masters in Prosthodontics from University of Florida and became a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2012.
Dr. Craighead is a member of the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, The International Team for Implantology, the Academy of Osseointegration,, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Florida Association of Prosthodontic Association.
As a specialist, Dr. Craighead has experience in treating a wide variety of cases from straightforward cases requiring single tooth replacement and crowns to patients needing comprehensive multispecialty treatment.
Dr. Craighead had the honor of being pronounced chief surgical resident for his outstanding dental achievements and served as an instructor, lecturer, and co-developer of the advanced surgical curriculums in the Department of Restorative Science, Graduate Prosthodontics at the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2013.
In addition to private practice at Premier Dental Team, he is actively involved with lecturing at the Mini-Residency in Advanced Implant Dentistry offered by the University of Florida, College of Dental Medicine in the subjects of bone grafting, dental implant surgery, and advanced prosthodontics. He continues to provide healthy smiles by delivering complex implant and reconstructive dental care to the Special Needs community at the Tacachale Dental Clinic in Gainesville, Florida.

Every time i go to premier Dental, its an awesome experience. The staff are courteous and friendly. Its not often that anybody looks forward to seeing the dentist, but ive really enjoyed the knowledge of every person on their staff. Looking forward to my next visit in January lol

Dr Parra is by far a phenomenal dentist! Precise, clear, pleasant, doesn't rush, thinks everything through and explains all options. I have had several implants done by her and of course Dr Craighead and have had no problems with any work they have done. The office is very clean, organized, and the staff is professional and courteous.

INCOMPETENT - DISORGANIZED - UNPROFESSIONAL - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Where to begin....For my first appointment I waited an HOUR from my scheduled appointment time to even see the dentist. I was charged $500 for my initial consultation exam, x-rays, etc. My next appointment was CANCELLED with ZERO notice (same-day), then NEVER re-scheduled. When I inquired about the rescheduled appointment, I never heard back from the "office" again. Kat, the "receptionist," was perhaps the least helpful person I've ever come in contact with in any office of any kind. They essentially took a needy patient for a $500 consult fee, which is beyond sad and truly pathetic. For someone charging such a premium for their services, you would think they would be more professional. SAVE YOUR MONEY. GO ELSEWHERE.

I have never felt so relaxed in a dentist office as I have at Premier Dental. No anxiety, no rapid heartbeat, no clutching the arms of the chair, simply wonderful. Dr Parra and Dr Craighead take the time to listen to your concerns, and explain all procedures to you. The support staff go out of their way to make you feel relaxed. I never thought I would say "I actually enjoy going to the dentist"

The Premier Dental team is all around excellent. From the scheduling and appointment reminders to the office visits themselves, outstanding. Jess and Kat at the front are welcoming and knowledgeable. The hygienist Elizabeth is the best I've ever had. And Dr. Parra has done a great job helping me fix my jaw and teeth. Her knowledge makes me feel very comfortable, I trust her office staff 100%!

I would not trust this office to do anything in your mouth. "Dr" Parra tried to do a filling and I had to revisit her SIX times for her to try to file my tooth to the correct shape. But she never did. She told me if it's not right it will cause hyperocclusion which means my other teeth might fall out, so now I'm facing that possibility. I had to wait in between each new attempt to fix it to see if it evened out. Then covid hit and I broke my foot so I waited a while to reach out to them to finally fix it once and for all because it is causing me pain still. They wanted to charge me even though it is their fault it's not fixed. I called insisting they fix it since I paid for a service that is not complete and they never called me back.

I got off to a rocky start but the team here is awesome. They have bent over backwards to make the experience as comfortable as possible. They are doing everything they can to make sure that I have teeth for an upcoming event that was previously scheduled. I'm very happy and very excited to see the finished product.

Dr. Para told me that my dental maintenance is excellent: no decay, gums excellent, and bones strong. I was thrilled. I have going to Dr. Para since she opened her practice. Funny thing is that I have a neighbor, who is a dentist, and yet, I still want Dr. Para over anyone else. TJM
