Our Implant Dentist, Dr. Yamen Akhrasis a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.He also received certification in health care management from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Our restorative specialist, Dr. Kaitlyn Lagesse, received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While at the University of Illinois, Dr. Lagesse received multiple awards for her clinical skills, leadership, and academic standing, including theDr. Adalbert L. Vlazny Award in Recognition of Excellence in Operative Dentistry and Clinical Skills, the Edgar D. Gifford DDS Scholarship in Recognition of Excellent Academic Standing, and the Frances Best Watkins Award in Recognition of Outstanding Leadership Skills & Excellent Academic Standing. In addition, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious national dental honor society.
Dr. Lagesse has a passion for general dentistry and providing the highest quality of care to every patient. When she is not working in private practice, she volunteers providing dental care to the underserved populations in and around Chicago.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lagesse enjoys playing soccer (she was an NCAA Division III player), cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and her beloved bulldog, Maeve. She currently lives in Chicago with her new husband, Afshin.
Dr. Amer Shammaa is devoted to providing quality personal orthodontic care. His treatment approach combines the most innovative techniques and state-of-the-art appliances and equipment. Being trained under some of the best orthodontists in the country, Dr.Shammaa hopes to change peoples lives by creating a healthy smile that will make them happy and confident. He enjoys creating long-term relationships with his patients and their families.
Dr. Shammaa received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota, and his postgraduate certificate and Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from West Virginia University. Dr. Shammaa is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and several other professional organizations. He is certified and has valuable experience treating patients using Invisalign, TADs (mini-implants), lingual braces, Wilcodontics, orthognathic Surgical cases, and multiple other orthodontics techniques.

It took me a long time to find a dentist I'm comfortable with and I trust. Dr. Lagesse is amazing...knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. The rest of the staff is wonderful. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

The best experience ever. I hated dentists all of my life. However, this experience was a positive experience. I'm definitely going to revisit their office and make them my official dentist. Im blessed.

I never made it in to see the Dentist. The effort it took to make an appointment was absolutely ridiculous. I had 12 calls and 5 texts back and forth with this office to verify my insurance as well as sent pictures front and back of my card. BCBS even called them to say I was in network and my insurance was active. The person at the front desk started quoting costs and attempting to make a diagnosis over the phone(never acknowledging the insurance was active) I had enough. I called Performance Dental the process was easy the cost was better than expected and the Dentist was Amazing.

Best experience i have had at a dental office. Dr. Lagesse is the very professional and shows he truly cares about his patients. Extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had with no issues. Along with the the great experience with the doctor, the rest of the staff were all extremely kind and helpful!

Honestly best dentist I've ever been to hands down! I have had fillings, root canals, and crowns and I'm lucky I came to this establishment. Dr. Lagesse is everything you look for in a dentist, friendly, always smiling and outgoing, makes sure your comfortable, taking some extra time to make sure it's just right, I love how she doesn't rush it at all, not to mention, the procedures are soo smooth, and she's good at numbing the perfect spots, she really knows what she's doing! The staff are amazing! Soo comforting, very friendly, outgoing, and makes for a looked forward to visit! Thank you Premier Dental and Implant Center! The only regret I have is I didn't find you all sooner! TRY THIS PLACE OUT, YOU WONT REGRET IT!

This place only cares about making money. Dentist messed up my jaw and didn't care when I later called and complained about it. The next time I came in to visit, just tried to refer me to an orthodontist. I now have a weak jaw that will never be the same just trying to even open my mouth or chew food. I have pain in my jaw even months after the visit. This dentist doesn't care about the damage he made to my teeth and jaw alignment, didn't even offer to do an x-ray, he just was pushing for the next service for money. In and out visit, then charge a bill. Will never go back here! If you want your teeth and mouth to feel the same, do not go here.

All around I am very impressed with the office. It was easy notice that each doctor loved their job and is there to help individuals feel comfortable in their smiles. The staff takes their time to answer all question to make sure you understand and are comfortable with the best procedure that is needing to be completed. If financials are an issue, they work with you and are able to set up a payment plan. I am very thankful that I was able to find an office that is understanding and caring as this one. Was there the other day. Dentist did a great job and fixed my issue. I could of done without some office staff ...just very pushy. Otherwise, the dentist and assistant we very nice

I have had the good fortune of having Dr. Yamen as my dentist! He has taken care of my entire family as well. We trust his work and his advice completely, and all of his work has been outstanding! The entire staff and the office manager are very kind/nice and always accommodates me!! Amazing office!! Highly recommend this place!!

Very modern and clean office, I was able to get in the next morning. The Dr. did a great job on my difficult wisdom tooth extraction and the assistant was very attentive. Would highly recommend.

My experience at Premier Dental was nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Akhras and his staff are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. When I came to the office, I was greeted by a nice young lady who helped me check in smoothly and answered all my questions about the procedure and payment plans. They are also a very organized dental team which was evident when I only waited about 10 minutes to be seen and I was able to schedule my next check-up seamlessly.

My 19 year old daughter is a very anxious dental patient. From the moment we came for the consult through the procedure and follow up, she was comfortable and we felt well taken care of. The entire staff goes above and beyond to help you feel comfortable and genuinely cared for! They explain everything that needs to be done instead of surprising you later with regards to time to complete, cost, etc. She needed 3 root canals under anesthesia. The entire dental team rocked!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The office is very modern, clean and beautiful too! It is quite apparent this staff cares about each aspect of the practice!
