Dr. Rosella C. Butura is uniquely qualified as a dental specialist (Prosthodontist) to provide you with exceptional dental care, such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures & other adult restorative dental needs. She is an honors graduate from SUNY at Stony Brook & the VAMC with advanced dental training. Restorative dentistry can include something a small as a filling. If cavities become too large for an ordinary filling, we will suggest an alternativea ceramic onlay or inlay. These are skillfully made in the laboratory to fit the shape of the cavity & match the color of the surrounding teeth.

Do you have a missing tooth or a gap in your teeth that youve been meaning to replace? Dental implants are essentially permanent, attached teeth that replace partials, bridges or dentures & are a comfortable solution that blend in with your existing teeth. A titanium implant is permanently attached to your bone & a prosthetic tooth (crown) is attached to the implant to make it appear identical to your other teeth. At Preferred Family Dental, we offer traditional & tooth-colored fillings. Tooth-colored material can be used both as fillings & to repair defects in the teeth. Because they are tooth-colored, its difficult to distinguish them from natural teeth. These fillings are often used on the front teeth where a natural appearance is important. They can be used on the back teeth as well, depending on the location & extent of the tooth decay.

Mercury amalgam (silver) fillings may be hazardous to your health. At Preferred Family Dental, we believe that the overall health of our patients always comes first. Accordingly, at our office we have elected to only use new & advanced fillings made of tooth-colored materials that contain no metals or mercury.
