1) Q: What are your general duties of as a hygienist and what made you choose this work? A: My general duty is to help my patient get to a better oral state, by raising their awareness of oral hygiene and emphasizing the importance of getting their regular six monthly cleaning as well as any scaling or periodontal maintenance they may need. I chose it because I like working with patients, I'm a people person, and I enjoy making a difference in my patients' mouths.

2) Q: What kinds of program did you have to study and where did you study? A: I graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor's of Health Sciences Degree. I went on to New York University to study dental hygiene, graduating with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene.

3) Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your history here at Preferred Dental Care and how you got to where you are at today? A: My twin sister worked here and referred me after she got married and moved to Texas - until this day, patients still think I'm her! I've been in this field for five years in different offices and I've never joined an office such as this where everyone makes you feel like family.

4) Q: What's one of your best memories of helping a patient? A: There are so many! I like helping patients feel more comfortable, especially the ones that have a fear of dentistry. We develop a connection with each other, and build up trust.

1) Q: What are your general duties of as a Dental Hygienist and what made you choose this work? A: Provide oral hygiene services, such as prophylaxis (regular cleaning), scaling and root planing (gum cleaning), periodontal maintenance (deep cleaning), as well as aesthetic services such as teeth whitening. I also assess patient 's oral condition and educate them on their oral health and hygiene practices. I am, essentially, a 'preventionist', in that the services I provide can help patients from getting cavities and gum disease and from losing their teeth. I chose this as I always had a strong passion for helping people, and I discovered that, through this field, I could provide the care that they need to have a healthy, radiant smile.

2) Q: What kinds of program did you have to study and where did you study? A: I did my undergraduate work at York College in Health Sciences. I was on the Dean's List for York College for three consecutive semesters. I moved on to the New York City College of Technology to pursue the dental hygienist program, graduating with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA).

3) Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your history here at Preferred Dental Care and how how you got to where you are at today? A: I started working at Preferred Dental Care when I was just seventeen (17). I started out in the Finance and Insurance Department, where I worked for seven years, all while attending university. After I gained license as a Registered Dental Hygienist, I took on a position as the full-time hygienist.

4) Q: What's one of your best memories of helping a patient? A: Once, I had a patient who was very anxious about getting a cleaning done. I talked her into and through the entire procedure and, afterward, she was very happy and satisfied at having received a pain-free procedure. And there are many more instances where patients are very appreciative of being cared for by gentle hands, their own expectations are greatly exceeded.

5) Q: What advice would you like to share with our patients? A: Number one, I would strongly urge patients to come in for regular cleanings and checkup, and to follow through with any recommended gum treatment so they can keep their teeth for a very long time. Also, when at home, they should brush, floss and smile regularly!

6) Q: Lastly, what do you like to do in your free time? What are your hobbies? A: I love traveling, shopping and reading. I really enjoy meeting new people, whether in my practice or in everyday interactions.

1) Q: What are your general duties of as a Dental Implant surgeon and what made you choose this work? A: Implants, complex and simple extractions, restorative implant dentistry such as implant crowns, bone grafting, sinus lift. I like making patients ecstatic that they don't have to put dentures in a cup, and can have, instead, implants with which they are socially comfortable.

3) Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your history here at Preferred Dental Care and how how you got to where you are at today? A: I started at Preferred Dental Care twenty one years ago. At the time, they (the PDC management) were looking for an implant specialist and I was introduced to them by a mutual friend,

4) Q: What's one of your best memories of helping a patient? A: Well, I got patients to quit smoking. There was also another patient whom I treated, who could not function with her dentures and was embarrassed socially, and the patient's life was transformed with the implants.

5) Q: What advice would you like to share with our patients? A: To understand that the provider cares for their overall health and to develop trust so they can be comfortable they're receiving the best of care and with skilled hands.

1) Q: What are you general duties of as an Root Canal Surgeon and what made you choose this work? A: I concentrate on regular (non-surgical) root canal 90% of the time, and I do surgical root canals (apicoectomy) the remainder of the time.

2) What kinds of program did you study and where did you study? A: I pursued college, dental school, my residency and post-graduate specialty studies all at Stony Brook University. I was honored with an award for outstanding achievement in the field of endodontics by the American Academy of Endodontics.I was also on the Dean's List and graduated cum laude from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.

3) Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your history here at Preferred Dental Care and how how you got to where you are at today? A: I've been here for three to four years. I was referred here by my partner. I worked at both PDC Manhattan and Flushing, at one point.

5) Q: What advice would you like to share with our patients? A: They have to be very diligent by taking care of their teeth so the only way for them to not have to see me is to keep up with their recall hygiene schedule, the six monthly cleaning.

1) Q: What are you general duties of as an oral surgeon and what made you choose this work? A: I am interested in doing surgeries to help people. I do extractions, both regular and for wisdom teeth; bone grafting; sinus lift; implants; biopsy.

2) Q: What kinds of program did you have to study and where did you study? A: I did all undergraduate studies at New York University. I also did my dentistry and post-graduate studies in Implant Dentistry at the same school.

3) Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your history here at Preferred Dental Care and how how you got to where you are at today? A: I started at Preferred Dental Care in Flushing in June, 2012. In 2014, I started working for the other office in Manhattan. Additionally, I am a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at NYU's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I am also an attending Oral Surgeon at St. Barnabus Hospital in the Bronx. Moreover, I've published several articles on Trauma & Implant.

4) Q: What's one of your best memories of helping a patient? A: Once I performed a procedure to unblock a patient's airway to help a patient breathe. It was very pioneering, in that I was the first to render such a procedure in the setting of a dental office as opposed to in a hospital setting, and it was widely talked and written about. Moreover, every time I help a patient, it makes me feel happy.

6) Q: Lastly, what do you like to do in your free time? What are your hobbies? A: I like sports, going to the gym and swimming. I like to read a lot of history, especially the history of civilizations. I have many volumes on each country of interest. I have to read at least one to two hours, every night before I go to sleep.

Just did my root canal at Preferred Dental Care with Doctor Bose. The procedure was painless and exceeded my expectations. The office was clean, the staff were friendly and professional. The procedure was explained thoroughly before starting. They are punctual with their appointments. I have to go back for a crown in a couple of weeks and I highly recommend this place for any dental procedures. Did cleaning today with my hygienist Hamida. She was great and thorough with the procedure. Everyone at this office is professional and caring. Will continue to recommend this establishment for all dental procedures.

Krystle was my hygienist today, her hands were so light that she made my cleaning an absolute pleasure. Dr. Trivedi is always a pleasure to have do the final examination. This has been my family dentist for over 11 years. Professional, clean environment and great atmosphere and staff. Today Hamada was my hygienist and she was an absolute pleasure. The entire staff very professional and friendly. Will always recommend this office to everyone.
