I have been a dental assistant at Preference Dental since September of 2001. I have had a long history in dentistry that started as a Red Cross Volunteer at a military dental clinic in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. We came back to Michigan in 1992 and I have worked in the dental field ever since.
I was born in Germany and came to the U.S. in 1986 after marrying an Army soldier from Michigan who was stationed in Germany. We spent a few more years with the Army, had two children, and eventually settled in Lakeview, Michigan. My oldest son, Daniel, graduated from Kettering University as a mechanical engineer, found work at Bourns Automobile in Auburn Hills, got married in August 2010 and lives in Lake Orion with his wife Amy. My youngest son, Pascal, is in the Army Reserves and attends Grand Valley University pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Information.

The staff was great. Very welcoming and friendly. The dentist was very nice, informative and took the time to answer my questions. Excellent service! I will be coming here for all my future dental needs.

My entire family has used Preference Dental for many years. Dr. Killian and his entire staff are incredible and I highly recommend them. We have 3 small children and while the dentist can be a scary place for kids, the staff is calm, and has helped make it easier each time they visit now. We love this office!

Yesterday was my first appt at Preference Dental and am so happy I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Jillian. Dr.Jillian, along with Christine, took the time to explain what dental procedures needed to be started. If I would have continued with my former office....I feel I would have run into unnecessary dental problems down the road. Plus everyone made me feel very comfort and welcome.

My husband and I have been patients at Preference Dental for almost 2 years. The treatment we have received there has been second to none. The staff is friendly, respectful, and most of all, knowledgeable. It is a pleasure to go to the dentist when you know they will try their best to make you as comfortable as possible, check on you before, during and after a procedure, and talk you through every step of your visit. They respect our time and theirs. We have never waited more than 5 or 10 minutes for our scheduled appointments, and they are very good at estimating how long a visit will take. They go out of their way to explain what will happen or other options for treatment. When faced with a decision about how to handle a dental procedure, I always feel completely informed about my options. The state of the art knowledge of their staff, and equipment they use is impressive, and it saves us time and money. Preference Dental has provided us with the best dental care in many, many years.

As always the visit was a pleasant experience. Only complaint is - they are always very busy do I don't get near enough time to visit with everyone. Everyone is so courteous and professional. Thank You for taking care of my teeth and health.

Dr. Hosking and Dr. Killian are amazing to work with. They will work with you on whatever your need may be and are sensitive to their patients with special needs. The assistants and staff are so welcoming and very knowledgeable. Thank you to everyone for working with our family through many situations. Dr. Hosking - you will be missed but enjoy your retirement.
