Dr. Dastoor is proud to be among only 33% of periodontists who have been awarded the title ofDiplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. A diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and is certified by the American Board of Periodontology after passing extensive written and oral examinations.
Dr. Dastoor has authored multiple articles in nationally recognized dental journals. Hehas presented the latest periodontal surgical techniques at dental meetings and has been sought out to educate the public via media appearances. He is proficient in all aspects of Periodontics and has a special interest in the field of dental implantology for replacing missing teeth. He completed training at the esteemed Misch International Implant Institute in Michigan.
Dr. Dastoor obtains extensive continuing education, so that he can providehis patients with the most advanced technology and techniques possible. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. On weekends he has provided dental screenings for military servicemen and servicewomen at National Guard bases around Houston.
Dr. Dastoor was born in Michigan and raised in Florida. He is extremely happy to have made Houston his permanent home. He is proficient in Spanish and Gujarati. In his free time, he enjoys playing competitive tennis, traveling, spending time with his family, playing with his twin five-year-old daughters, and walks with his golden retriever.
Jenn, our Office Manager, was born and raised in Conroe, Texas. She has been a dental assistant since 2002. Jennifer truly appreciates the attentive care our team strives to provide our patients. As your billing and insurance specialist, she is available to assist you to afford the treatment you desire. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Let me begin by telling you about Jennifer and Shannon. These two ladies are phenomenal; they make you feel welcome as soon as you come in. They go out of their way to take care of you! Very impressed with how friendly and professional everyone is at the office. Highly recommend.

I had a gum graft procedure- everything went smoothly! Dr. Dastoor was very quick, clean, and helpful! His assistant, Ms. Sue was AMAZING! I was nervous before having the procedure and she calmed my nerves and is the greatest company! The front desk ladies are spot on too! I called the other day and spoke with Ms. Shannon- she was patient with all my questions and concerns and gave me great guidance. Highly recommend!

Dr. Dastoor and his office took great care of me. I had recurrent abscess in my gum, which no one could diagnose. He did a complete exam and diagnosed and corrected the problem. He spent a great amount of time explaining and answering questions. I am free of any abscessand infections. I immensly thank Dr. Dastoor for taking the time and utilizing his expertise in keeping me healthy.

I have to say I have not had a very good experience here. It started well with the first visit but by the second visit it started to go downhill. They were not prepared for me as they did not have gas to help with anxiety for my implant and I had requested it at the initial visit. I proceeded without it & it went well. They wanted my dentist to do the crown but were ok with doing it if he was. So, I cleared it with my dentist and made the appropriate appointments to proceed with Dr. Dastoor doing the crown. I arrive for my follow up appointment 3 months later & Dr. Dastoor told me he did not want to do the crown as he preferred for my dentist to do so. He justified his reasons and said he did not know why Jennifer scheduled it for him to do. He explained his reasons well so I called my dentist to schedule. Two days later, I get a call from Jennifer at Dr. Dastoor's office to say she is trying to schedule me for the crown. I told her I was confused as Dr. Dastoor said he preferred my dentist to do it & he didn't understand why Jennifer had originally scheduled it the way she did. She totally wanted to gloss over their inconsistencies, never apologized for the inconvenience they have caused, and had an attitude. I think that he does a good job but their front desk needs to be trained better (learn how he likes to do things, better customer service, etc.). Add to your post

The cleanings I get at Dr. Dastoor's office are always superior to what I get at the dentist. The quality of their X-rays are also very good. Dr. Dastoor has done one of my implants years ago (early in his practice here) and I have always found him to be extremely warm and competent.

I had my first procedure done with Dr.Dastoor for a receding gum. I am very pleased with how the Doctor along with Sue made me feel comfortable and relaxed during this very stressful time for me. I was very well taken care of and my comfort was both of their concerns. I will be going back soon to have my stitches taken out. I highly recommend this office!! The front staff are very polite and very helpful and easy to talk to. You are very well taken care of at this office!!

Dr. Dastoor is highly conscientious and apt in his work. I have been under his care for a number of years and he has placed multiple implants in my mouth with high success. I trust him completely. He has an excellent staff which is every bit as important in the line of communication. The doctor has gotten to know me well enough to know that I need time in explanation so he takes that time. That is in his favor.

He is perhaps the Best Periodontist in Houston. We have consulted few other periodontists before visiting Dr. Dastoor. Still we were confused with what treatment should I opt for as everyone suggested different treatments. Dr. Dastoor explained everything so clearly, and gave the excellent advice. Very genuine doctor and a wonderful human being. I recommend him in a heart beat to anyone looking for periodontal treatment.
